This dealership underperformed on delivering a great Mini purchase experience (and this is my third Mini as I love the car). i just purchased a new 2025 Mini Cooper from the Mini of Mount Laurel dealership and they: 1. Did not ensure that a rubber mat was in the trunk (as agreed to at signing), and when they called me that the car had arrived, I asked if the mats were inside the vehicle and trunk before driving almost 3-hours to pick the car up and they said "Yes". When I picked up the car, the mat was not in the trunk and the sales person indicated he didn't even remember that I had even requested them (which is funny as there were mats in the car but not the trunk) and the manager initially had been called over to guarantee the deal in the first place. The sales person (who isn't even there any more in sales) said he would have to order a mat through the parts department but gave no time of when it might be in. When I followed up on the phone in November with getting a trunk mat, sales indicated they couldn't get one in for a few weeks or even months. I then called another Mini Cooper dealership and they had one ordered and available in one day as they told me when the cars come into the New Jersey Port that's when the mats are put in the vehicles. 2. I was told by the Finance Department upon signing the paperwork that I had to make a decision before driving off the lot regarding getting an extended warranty through Mini or "The Mechanic". So I paid almost $5,000 on October 31 for the extended warranty. After I got home I made calls to 2 competitor Mini dealerships and discovered that you don't have to purchase the extended warranty before driving off the lot so on November 4 I canceled the policy. However: Finance told me in order to cancel the extended warranty I had to go to their own company owned website, log in a password and enter the VIN (which I did). Noticed on the website that it will take 4-6 weeks to get the refund (as I didn't opt to pay $125.00 to expedite a refund). I was also told by Finance that I could check on the status of the refund, but when I went back onto the website there was no way to get an update or even contact a real person. It's now December 6 and I have yet to receive the refund when all they had to do was credit back my refund to my American Express card that I initially used to pay for the extended warranty rather than make me have to follow-up. Bottom Line: Think twice before purchasing from the Mini of Mount Laurel dealership as they don't deliver on an honest and upfront customer experience which Mini has always been known for. Should you want to avoid all this unnecessary time and drama cleaning up issues that didn't even have to happen in the first place, and want an honest and efficient Mini dealership that treats their customer with respect I can highly recommend Mini of Annapolis as they were the ones to get the trunk mat for me in 1-day. It's time to put the customer first again before profits! read more

My service advisor tried to upsell me on items that didn't need to be repaired at an astronomical price and misinformed me of the process when involving my warranty and treated me as if I were a dishonest person. Firstly the shop rate is already astronomical and I payed my services contract but was told my car would be held hostage until the warranty company paid their portion. I also requested that the service manager give me a call and to date I have not received a call from them. I guess they feel they had already received my money and didn't have to address my concerns. If anyone is planning to use this service department think twice. Most people understand that it's a service but nobody likes to be treated as if the only concern is money and not the customers concerns. read more

I came in for service because my car was showing a "malfunctioning taillight" warning on the dashboard. After going to my local auto shop, I decided I better have this looked at by a Mini dealer since it was going to require genuine MINI parts. I really like the setup of this dealership but I find their sales staff to be mediocre. When I was originally shopping for my MINI they tried to pressure sell me a used car with prior accident damage and were less than upfront about it. I do like the inside of this place. It is decorated well and the waiting area is a comfortable place to spend time with lots of free snacks and drinks. As for my service visit, it ended up costing north of $500 to get the taillight assembly replaced (apparently this is a common issue with these cars). Most of this was labor costs and I am sure I could have gotten this done much cheaper elsewhere. Classic "stealership" stuff.. One silver lining was that the service rep, Andy, was super helpful and friendly. Eventhough he did try to sell me $2000 of service that I didn't want or need, he was not pushy and made the experience better than it would have been. Plus one star for him. Today I got the other headlight on my Fiat 500XL changed at my local mechanic and it cost me $40. Mini of Mt. Laurel charged me over $300 for the first headlight that went out and the sales guy apologized for how much it was acting like they had no control of the price. The visit before that, I brought in a mailer coupon for a % service discount and it was not honored when I checked out but since I had already paid and noticed on the paperwork the sales guy said, 'we can apply it to your next service, I made a note'. Next service there, no record of this. I will never, ever go back here and I feel bad for the lady that owned the car before me that took it there all these years and thought they were actually good to her. The first time I took it there, the sales guy said 'oh you bought it off that lady with the crazy hair that looked like she never brushed". Today I called four times and hit the button for the parts department, was on hold for 10 minutes each time. Finally called the sales department and they got me someone after walking back to ask. The parts associate told me that they couldn't tell me if they had my wiper blades in-stock without knowing my VIN. So I hung up and called the Mini place in Philly. 2 minutes later, without needing the VIN, I'm headed out to get them there. Customer service use to be a pleasant experience with Mini. Not sure what's changed. I've noticed a huge difference here and several other locations. read more

Okay yes I Gave them a five star and that's hard coming from me wirh car dealers. As you know how sometimes they can be a bit pushy. My experience here was so relaxed. Staff was so accommodating. What a awesome experience. They don't bum rush you when you pull in which is definitely a plus for my personality cause when that happens I usually start my car right back up and pull out lol. The office is really nice as well. They have tv, complimentary coffee or hot beverages as well as soda and water while your waiting. It's just a nice comforting atmosphere when your in there and they don't treat you any different if your getting a used car over one or their cute little mini's. They keep in touch with you and check in on you to see if your satisfied. They also don't work off commission so they are more relaxed and on your side working for you as well as themselves. This is my first MINI. I bought the Countryman here about a year ago and recently had it serviced for an oil change. The whole MINI culture surprised me. Very Mac like: smart, clever and devoted. They have their own magazine. Funny. It was a good experience overall from purchase to service. Their website is great to show you their large inventory (and they take pictures of the inside of each car). Salesman wasn't pushy. I came back twice to make sure of my decision. Quoted $2700 for what my thorough online research showed should have been $1400 worth of repairs, at most. Then, when we refused to go forward with service on any of items and take our business elsewhere, we were charged $240 for the privilege of already having the car "inspected" by this den of thieves. All that said, I really feel like I have to warn people about what a ripoff it is to have your car serviced by this place. I've heard the term "Stealership" used before and I think it applies here. Here's my son's and my story, if you want to know more... My son just bought a 10 year old Mini with 80K miles on it and wanted to get it checked out. This Stealership's "42 point inspection" revealed 8 things in need of repair and/or maintenance. We had gotten the car for a good price and I expected to have to spend about a $1000 to $1500 in major age-related maintenance. Instead, this Stealership's bill added up to $2700, whereas when I Google researched what it would "cost" specifically "to have Mini Cooper repairs for [INSERT PART TO BE FIXED/REPLACED HERE]" done, each line item cost cited by reliable sources online was much lower then what the what this stealership was quoting. Even using the higher number in the price ranges that I googled up, I ended up with a bill that should have been no more than $1400 and probably closer to $1200. (FyI: Most of the stuff they cited were minor things like various filter and oil changes. For these smaller items, the stealership was only trying to gouge my son to the tune by 30%, whereas the 3 major items they cited were 2 to 3 times more than any cost quote -- for labor AND repair -- that I found in my research. When I explained to the dealer that my son was not in the position to ridiculously overpay the way someone who lives in around the immediate Morrestown area would (the boy only checked the place out because it was within walking distance of where he works) the service man, Andy, told me that it was the going rate and they had to be paid fort their efforts. This, even though their efforts were designed to steal and cheat. The "inspection" that was available online for video viewing lasted only 10 minutes, and did not cover a review of all the items cited in the price quote (i.e., there was no video of them checking to see if the oil and filters really needed to be changed even though they knew the owner had just purchased a vehicle and those things could very well have been changed recently by the previous owner). Honestly, the way I figure it, It couldn't have taken more than a 1/2 an hour to do their are so called inspection, which means they were basically charging $480 an hour for labor. How many lawyers do you know who can bill $480 an hour for their time? Yet Andy kept going on and on about how the inspectors were certified and such. And all I could think was they didn't go to law school, they took an creditation course. And, again, they spent about a 1/2 an hour looking at the vehicle and charged my 20something son $240. I can't imagine what the pricing on their new cars is, but I can tell you don't ever take a vehicle there to be serviced as there are numerous auto shops within a 10 mile radius that specialize in foreign car repair, at least 2 of whom, laughed sadly when I forwarded the online quote first texted to my son. But my son's a young kid who will eventually learn that service at dealerships can be a rip off that sometimes is worth it for the convenience, but most times isn't, and in the case of this dealership, is NEVER worth the price. That's based on my experience, at least. My guess is others who have the same experience in the future will find their way on to this review page too in time. This was something I thought only existed in TV shows when mechanics try to fool a women thinking she knows nothing about the car. The mechanics pushed unnecessary services on me. Tried to overcharge me at every step. Every time I had to point them at the official prices for parts and they would say that it must have been their managers mistake. The most outrageous was when they tried to charge me 750$ for an oil filter gasket, which comes for free with a 15$ oil filter. And what about the part they were actually supposed to fix? Extremely impressed from start to finish! My first self bought car! I am located in Philadelphia, but was advised to visit this dealership after an unfortunate not-so-friendly interaction with someone from Mini of Mainline... And I am pleasantly surprised! Ben Webb is the Motor Adviser to go to if you are at all interested in a MINI. Extremely friendly and knowledgable about all things MINI. He definitely knows his stuff! So is everyone I met! I ended up test driving a cooper first as that was what I was looking for. I was having such a good time that I suggested trying the cooper s without Ben suggesting. I came in half expecting everyone trying to sell me a higher end model but that did not happen at all. Ben and everyone there were very patient, helpful, and truly wants you to get a car that you will enjoy. And six weeks later I now own an incredible cooper s (I ended up ordering one from the factory) and am proud to be in a community of awesome MINI owners! Even during the wait for the car I would even get check-in emails/text with Ben answering any questions I have. I urge anyone who are remotely considering a new car to give them a call and test drive a MINI. Car needed 4 new tires and an alignment at 30,000 miles. We had the car fixed, it had a vibration in it. Back to the dealer, the service department did not notice that the 2 back tires supposedly are bent which was not noticed when they replaced the tires and did the alignment. We have been told by dealer"Minis are not for everyone " and "Minis are performance cars" bad on roads with pot holes. I've had I think 3 service visits to This dealership due to Emergency tow in issues. It is not my home dealership. I lost acceleration on the highway, and pulled over, called mini roadside assistance which handles things pretty quickly. This was at Noon. I was towed in and sat for two hours waiting before being told that I broke down because I ran out of gas. I had just filled the tank before leaving for my excursion so I challenged them On that. I showed them My gas receipt. The woman in the service department talked down to me as if I had run out of gas unknowingly. By this time it's now about 4:30. They are somehow able to get the car running but tell me I need a new gas tank. And say I'll have to schedule an appointment. She asks me if I want them To wash and vacuum my car and I say ok which I think is weird because The car hasn't been fixed yet. I come in side to realize they're planning on sending me home in the car without a diagnosis. I tell them I'm Not comfortable driving the car as I know it had a full tank. And there is no actual Diagnosis of a particular failed mechanism nor will she give me something written stating what the issue is. It's clearly quitting time and they want to leave. She tells me they have no courtesy cars. Again I tell her I'm Not comfortable driving it without a specific diagnosis. She immediately pulls a key out and comes up with a loaner car. After I insist. The next day I call in and she has seemingly changed her tune somewhat but I continue to Justify why I did not want to get back on the highway with an undiagnosed issue. To shut me up she says it's water under the bridge but says that she had a few other ideas for what the issue could have been after I left. All three issues for all emergencies over the years I left there with a bad taste in my mouth. They were however very quick to escort you to sales department as you wait 4 hours for a diagnosis. Don't have an emergency issue that puts you there near quitting time. In a word : condescending treatment by service department. Would not recommend. read more

First let me say this is the first MINI I have ever purchased, and honestly I'm a MINI customer for life now! The extended maintenance/warranty program/tire package is awesome and well worth it! So spend the extra $$$ and purchase it. You'll thank yourself in the future. The dealership itself is one of the best dealerships I have ever been too, hands down! (Even compaired to Cadillac!) They are so nice and extremely informative. Their courtesy vehicle/shuttle program is awesome. After all no one wants to wait around 2, 4, 6 hours while your car is being worked on. They'll take you to the mall, get lunch, whatever! If you do decide to wait around, their lounge is super comfy. Array of complementary refreshments, even a water bowl and treats for man's best friend. Their customer service is top notch! They set the bar on excellent service, more dealerships should take note. Brought a custom ordered Mini Clubman here in the summer of 2013. Steve from sales was nice, friendly, and had no problem ordering me just the car I wanted. Sales process was smooth and fair. He was always on top of the car's status and would promptly return my calls. Delivery was quick and painless. In December of 2013 it was time for my first oil change appointment. Service was able to fit me in a reasonable slot of time that met my schedule. Waiting are was clean, easy to "live with", good coffee and drinks while waiting. My wife and I drove from NYC because we were wanting to look at their large inventory of MINIS. We were in the market for a Hardtop 4 door S and they had a selection of 4 great pre-owned options, 2015 & 16'. On their website is the carfax information for their certified pre-owned vehicles as well as detail in the condition of them. When we arrived I was met by Victoria Garrison who was beyond lovely and truly made our experience fun and comfortable. At no point did she try and pressure us into any of their stock and even offered professional opinions on what customers, including herself, enjoyed. She allowed both of us to test drive the vehicle and look inside all the different versions we liked. Ultimately we walked away with a basically brand new 2016 Hardtop 4 Door S with 16,000 miles at a much higher discount than was offered at MINI NYC. All the staff are truly lovely here, the financing professional did not push us to finance with them when he saw we had a good rate already from a bank. He also offered discounts on some of the bundles for additional coverage to meet our budget. Inside the store has a funky and fun vibe with a beautiful showroom and a comfortable customer area with snacks and a TV so your wait isn't long. Before getting the vehicle it was fully detailed and we drove home feeling like owners of a brand new whip. I can't recommend them enough, and they had a HUGE selection of the various trims. Took our 2011 Cooper S convertible in for service some months ago. They performed the check well, and came up with an issue re the air conditioning. Judy Owens (?), the service rep, said she would get back to us with a price for the repair, but never did. Numerous attempts at getting a response from her yielded no response. For use to travel a good distance (we are in central NJ, they are in Philly suburbs, over an hour away by NJT) for service is a bit much, especially given this lack of response. Given that there are closer dealerships, with better responses, don't think we're going back. read more

Laurel team and a deciding factor for me justifying the burden of driving the extra distance to NJ rather than going to Mini of the Main Line which is only a few minutes from my home. Called dealership night before to discuss vehicle on website. Made appointment to see between 12:00 and 1:00. They called around 9:30 next morning to confirm. Arrived at 12:15 to have Buddy tell me car was sold 1/2 hour prior. Would not expect them to hold car but certainly would expect a call given Buddy knew we were an hour each way. Car was parked in front of front door of dealership. Therefore Buddy was either oblivious to sale in front of him or thought he could hustle me on another car. Horrible service- had spark Plugs and coil replaced in December; after 7 months they were completely ruined, which are supposed to last YEARS. I only found this out from My personal mechanic after I had to take my car in there due to excessive rumbling and not running continuously. When j called mini to inquire about college a refund set the parts are warrantied, I received one call back from Judy which didn't really answer my question. After I proceeded to leave 4 voicemails over two days requesting a call back with no reply, I left a voicemail for the service manager Mike at 7am- it's now nearly 24 hours later and HE is not calling me back. I guess their " commitment to service satisfaction" ends once they have milked you of your money. read more

I purchased my Mini from the BMW in reading pa and was told to bring my vehicle here for service. The mini was under warranty. The car was smoking, oil light and check engine light were on. I spoke with Jen the service writer and told her all the issues with the car. She took the car in and they said that the car need a oil pump. The bmw dealership paid them 2900 for the repair The next week I picked the car up and it was still smoking when I pulled it off the lot. I IMMEDIATELY called Jen and she said the it was from the repair and to bring it back if it still does it. The car did not stop smoking to she told me to bring it back the following Thursday. They keep it for another week and said that it needed a turbo. They said that they were covering the repair Once again I pick led up the car and it was smoking worse than ever. I called Ken again and I bring it back for the 3rd time. 2 weeks went by with no communication. I called in and they said that men was on vacation. The 3rd week came and I spoke to jen she said that the car now need a engine overhaul and that they would have to call the place that I got it from to see what's next. Another week when by. When I contacted Jen her whole attitude change she said that I didnt buy the car from them and that it's my car. She said that the dealership that I purchased from was not going to pay to fix it and neither were they. Even tho they never fix the issuie from the start. No they are telling me that I will have to pay $4500 for a car that I purchased 2 months ago and has been in their shop for rlthe past month because they misdiagnosed the problem. read more

As a long standing MINI owner, once I found out that a new MINI dealership would open next to my house I was ecstatic. I simply could not wait for the dealership to open its doors. Sadly, though my wishes came true, it was all for naught. I've had nothing but an exemplary experience with other MINI dealerships, so perhaps my expectations were high. However, MINI prides itself not only on quality of its cars, but the service you receive and up until now I had no doubts it was true... Where should I begin? Well, once the Countryman came out, I wanted to test-drive it and perhaps buy one, as we definitely needed more space than my regular MINI was able to provide. When we got to the dealership, we were greeted by a salesmen who apparently knew less about the car than I did... He tried to convince me that a specific model existed, which was not the case. When I asked a few questions, he either was not sure or gave as it turned out wrong answers. Fine, perhaps I could live with this, as the dealership was brand new and the staff may not have been properly trained yet.. However, it was definitely not necessary to repeatedly explain to me all of the cool features in a MINI, considering that I've owned two and mentioned it a couple of times... It was even less necessary for the person who I believe to be the sales or finance manager to try and trick me - we asked for a specific range of a monthly payment on a specific car, stating that besides the trade-in we would not want to put any money down.. this gentlemen came back with a "plan" that was 1. almost $100 higher per month than what we requested and 2. when asked said we could get a lower plan, showing details and never mentioning that BOTH plans included a down payment ($3000 in the first case and even more in the second) - like we would not find out later (or like I would not see it on the paper)!!! What's worse, they've offered $2,000 less for my MINI as a trade-in than a different (NON-MINI) dealership. sadly, the sales is not the only problem... I've brought my car for service on a couple of occasions (as it's A LOT closer than driving to Princeton).. and if not for 2 hour difference in travel I probably would've stopped after the first service. First, although they give you loaners you have to return them within 24 hours, which makes its incredibly inconvenient - If i drop off my car and pick up a loaner at 7am, they call that my car is ready at 1pm, either I have to leave work early to drop off the loaner (that's on top of already getting to work late after dropping my car in the morning) OR come back next morning before 7am... I've never had this issue with Princeton who always let me return the car at the end of the next day... Secondly, all of their loaner have no-smoking policy... I understand the policy in general, but why not have an additional car or two for those who do smoke? Again, was never an issue elsewhere... Thirdly, although I understand that the maintenance plan covers certain things on a specific basis, I've never had an issue with getting windshield wipers replaced a few months before the due time, apparently not at Mt. Laurel... All in all, it was a very bad experience, which ultimately cost MINI a long-standing customer - I wanted to buy a Countryman, but alas, thanks at the folks of MINI of Mt. I would shop around to other MINI dealers in the area, Otto's being one of my favorites. This dealership charged me for service items without telling me first and wanted me to pay close to $5,000 for a job I got completed elsewhere for $1,600. I just bought a used 2016 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership. Laura B. of MINI was awesome! She was very understanding and thoughtful throughout our car buying process. She is very knowledgeable and didn't push us toward something we didn't want to do, as many other dealerships and sales associates do. I highly recommend this dealership for new and used cars. I recently bought my Cooper S hardtop with the help of the sale guy Tom Bronco and Finance guy? I cant remember that guys name, but they were awesome I usually leave dealerships feeling like a got ripped off some way . I thought that was one of those things you just had to accept as part of the experience , but not here. Everyone was friendly down to earth and accommodating. Dare I even say ... pleasant??? Terrible place to do business. If you are military, be leary of their shady ways. Daniel seemed very inexperienced and was telling us bogus information. Other than the transaction of my trade in mini for a preowned mini, I have been very dissatisfied. My sales rep and the service center failed to check both key fobs batteries, tighten screws on doors, and install front bracket for license plate before I pulled off lot. Yes, I dealt with making the calls and putting in the time to make sure this stuff was corrected but as a purchaser I felt very slanted on the purchase of this particular car. I won't be suggesting this location for any future purchases friends or family may make. :( read more
