I am sharing my experience to help others make an informed decision. I purchased a BMW SUV from VIP Auto, and since the time of purchase, the vehicle has had ongoing mechanical issues that have significantly affected its reliability. The vehicle has spent more time being repaired than driven. I made multiple attempts to have these issues addressed through VIP Auto, but I was turned away on several occasions or unable to receive consistent support. While one member of management did assist with some repairs, the overall condition of the vehicle at the time of sale raises serious concerns. After the purchase, I was informed by BMW service professionals that the vehicle showed signs consistent with prior accident-related damage, including observations made during service. This concern was also acknowledged in follow-up discussions. This information was not disclosed to me at the time of sale, and I was not provided with a vehicle history report such as a Carfax prior to completing my purchase. Additionally, there are visible areas on the vehicle that appear to have been repainted. This would have significantly impacted my decision to proceed. I also purchased an extended warranty, which I continue to pay for; however, it was extremely difficult to find a repair facility that accepted it. By the time I located a participating mechanic, much of the coverage period had been lost. After seeking service directly through BMW, I was presented with thousands of dollars in necessary repairs. Even with partial assistance from the dealership, I still incurred significant out-of-pocket expenses, including tires and ongoing repairs. To this day, the vehicle still requires service. In addition, I was placed into a high-interest loan and attempted to contact the salesperson regarding refinancing, but I did not receive a response. Due to the repeated mechanical issues, concerns regarding undisclosed prior damage, and ongoing financial burden, I have explored my rights under New Jersey consumer protection and lemon law guidelines. This has been an extremely difficult and costly experience. I strongly encourage anyone considering a purchase to obtain an independent inspection, review all vehicle history reports, and carefully evaluate warranty and financing terms before proceeding. read more

Horrible experience. These dealers are scammers and will sell you a faulty car and do not honor their 7 day return policy. I received my vehicle via delivery and immediately noticed a noise that was not right. I sent them a video right then and said I would take it to a mechanic just to be sure. It turns out they delivered the vehicle with a bad clutch which would cost me $2,200 to fix. I told them I would need to return the vehicle because this is not the condition of the car when I had it inspected on the Friday before (the car was delivered on the following Wednesday - 5 days after inspection). Between those 5 days, the clutch gave out in their possession and they are refusing to fix it at their cost or allow me to return it without paying them $1,200. I did not own the car for more than 5 minutes before discovering the faulty clutch. Take your business to somewhere else more trustworthy. read more

Tom's email was simple, straightforward and he didn't hassle me with any calls. I was upfront with him about the offer I had and he was confident he could beat it (which he did). He came to my house that afternoon, took a look at the car and came back with a higher offer than CarMax. When my new car came in a couple of days later and I was ready to sell, Tom came back, we did the paperwork, he handed me a check and told me to hold onto the car so I'd be comfortable that the check has cleared and to call when I was ready for pickup. We made and appointment for the next day -Tuesday. we looked again on the website to see the car again, and the price was $1600 higher. So we called about it and was given the most ridiculous excuse for the price increase and told us that it is the price now and we would have to pay the increased price. this is the 3rd time in the past month that this has happened. don't do business with these guys they are scamming read more

During the Covid thing used cars were going for a lot more than they should have because they weren't producing new cars. I bought a car from this place it had very high miles 96,000 miles, but it was a newer mini Cooper 2017 . The salesmen talked me into an extended warranty for another $2500, I've had the car for two years & have put on aprox 20k in miles .The warranties a 38 months 38,000 mile extended engine, automatic transmission, air conditioning that kind of a warranty. My car went to mini Cooper for a recall part that mini Cooper was covering and up on the rack there were so many issues going on with this car, I told Mini Cooper you can put it through this warranty. They literally wouldn't pay for a single nut or bolt. The amount of money and repairs were close to $6000. I called them screaming and they said well you bought what you bought it is your fault what are you expect for a $2500 warranty see they buy these on the nickel on the dollar and the companies happy to sell them because they know they won't have to ever honor these warranties even if it's one out of 1000 people it's a win-win, financial grift and scam .they don't care about repeat business or the customer whatsoever. They buy cars that need work and they have an on-site mechanic and body shop to make these pieces of crap look good, after I had the car for a few weeks and the love of it faded, you could literally see the little spots all over where they used touchup paint like fingernail polish to cover up missing paint. This place is a flyby dump. I wouldn't use them if I needed to use their toilet, what's in that toilet is what they are. read more

My friend and I came here after seeing a brz on the lot to check it out. They let us take it for a test drive and when we got back we realized somebody had hit my friends car in the parking lot messing up the side and back of her car. After going inside to tell them we found out it was one of their own employees and he had left after hitting the car. Instead of having the cops come and do an accident report and try to bring their employee back they tried to talk my friend into just buying the brz and not worrying about her car or the damage. We found VIP online as they had the make and model of a car we had been wanting. When we arrived they were nice enough and the haggle was minimal to get the vehicle in line, with a trade, to meet our budget. Anthony promised to have the vehicle "in show room condition" with all dings etc fixed and ready for us in a few days. We were out of state so we gave them a week as we could not return sooner. The vehicle was delivered to us, in almost the exact condition we had left it, except a washing a few minor touch ups. He told us if it wasn't to our satisfaction upon arrival to refuse the vehicle, well that was not really an option when it arrived. He again promised to fix it we just had to set up a time to do so, of course at our inconvenience. Again we left the vehicle for an entire week to get it fixed. The edges of the doors were dinged and a major concern and the brakes did not pass inspection. We worked through the service manager was assured it would be fixed and ready Saturday morning for pick up in Maple Shade. Saturday comes and low and behold its still at another location, completely out of the way, and needs to be picked up there. I specifically told them I had to be to work two hours away and this was a huge inconvenience. Through all of this Anthony has the nerve to my tell my husband "this is becoming an inconvenience". REALLY?! For who?! Cause we are the ones driving 2 hours each way to fix something that should have been done right the first time. We arrive to pick up the vehicle and its not ready....still! We waited another hour and finally the car is "ready". There are still dents and dings that should have been fixed, but honestly the haggle, time and aggravation at this point is not worth it. The car has since passed inspection and all information has been submitted for over a month....we have yet to receive the registration/plates. I spoke with titling who forgot to send the power of attorney, threes weeks before - and probably would have never noticed if I didn't call. So they overnight them.......and now its been a week and I have yet to hear anything. Today I call the state to get a status of my own and to my SHOCK they state says they have ZERO paperwork regarding our VIN number for the registration/plates. I have spent the afternoon trying to get titling on the phone, and every time I call I am told they are busy to call back in 15 minutes.... The aggregation and run around from this place after the fact is not worth it at all. If I could get anyone on the phone of management or authority trust me I would tell them how I feel about this but to get anyone on the phone is miracle. RUN fast and far find your vehicle elsewhere. read more

I drove 85 miles to check out the car I was interested in at VIP. They had a low mileage version of one of the two possible cars I was looking for, advertised at a reasonable price. When I got there the car was just as advertised, in very nice condition. The price was as advertised, and they even reduced it slightly to bring it a bit closer to the optimal price that I had found in my research, which wasn't far off of their original asking price anyway. The final clincher for me was that they didn't even bat an eye when I said I wanted to take the car to my mechanic for a thorough once-over before making a decision. Their answer was "Of course. No problem at all" even though my mechanic was back in my home town 85 miles away and taking the car to him would mean a 170 mile round trip journey and keeping it over night. And when I got it to my mechanic he went all the way through it and couldn't find a thing wrong with it - gave it his top seal of approval! All aspects of the entire process went as smoothly and uneventfully as they possibly could, the people were great to deal with, and I got a great car to boot. Who could ask for anything more? Despite their distance from my home I suspect VIP will be my first stop for all future car purchases, especially since they say they can find me whatever I'm in the market for at the moment. Some background on why this transaction was especially appreciated: I was looking for a used manual transmission Honda Civic or Mazda3 for under $10K. Manual transmission cars are getting progressively harder to come by as America loses the art of driving them and finding decent ones in that price range has become even more difficult. Many of the more reputable of the big corporate dealerships no longer even bother to resell cars in that range, so when looking for one I'm finding myself ever more frequently dealing with less reliable dealerships than I've done in the past - experiencing a variety of "bait and switch" gambits, mandatory price add-ons for services I have no interest in, and time wasting trips to test drive vehicles that are in such bad shape that I'm reluctant to even drive them off the lot. One of my most basic criteria for even venturing out to see a car (especially one in this price range) is whether the dealership/owner will let me take it to my mechanic for a full once-over before committing to the purchase. That request is almost always met with reluctance and assurances that the dealerships cars have all been thru a full overhaul and are in excellent shape. A few dealerships will eventually agree to have their employee drive the car to my mechanic; a very very few will let me take the car to the mechanic myself; the vast majority of them won't allow an off-site mechanic's review at all, leaving me feeling like they don't believe their car will pass my mechanics full inspection. A dealership that is selling cars in this price range that are in such great shape that they have absolutely no hesitancy about letting a potential buyer drive a long distance in one of their cars and an outside mechanic take his time examining it is a real find and something to hold onto! read more

Tell you if you get them a referral they will give you 200 dollars & a tank of gas so we got them a referral & all we keep getting is bunch of excuses after excuse & lies of why we still can't get our money after we just payed them almost 1000 dollars! We still have yet to get our tags for our car & we already payed them the money for it!!! Got told a million different stories of why we can't get our money that doesn't even make sense each day a different lie!! Everyone else got payed now I want my money that is owed!! Done hearing all your dumb excuses! First reason was we had to wait for the lady to pay, she payed still didn't get our money! Then it was the gps has to work in her car ! Still did not get paid, then it was we had to wait for our money to clear the money has been cleared & still have not received what was owed! Also all these different excuses don't make sense they don't go hand and hand with each other they are just lies to buy them self more time of why they can't pay us what is owe!
