Cannoli was okay. Baklava was hard, hubby afraid he'd break his teeth, cherry pie was not offered to be warmed so cold and very hard also. Hubby's pastrami sandwich was definitely NOT pastrami. No idea what that meat was. Very chewy and did not smell or taste like pastrami to me either. My burger was okay, cooked right. Fries were flavorless. Had to ask for our waters we ordered. Waiter walked off with our order number before we got our meals, had to tell him to bring it back. So sad. read more

It was my first time coming here, and I was not disappointed. The food is really good. I got a cesaer salad, 2 kids breakfast, a veggie soup. The salad was so good the lettuce was green and vibrant, not like other places, and the chicken was well seasoned and not dry. My kids finished their breakfast they had 2 pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Someone else had a club sandwich, and it looked really good, I regret not getting the club sandwich with potato salad, I'm definitely getting that next time. The service is great 10/10. read more

Look, guys, there is no restroom. I think every single cafe place should have a restroom. So people don't go and look for it across the street like I did. It was a big chunk of ham, I didn't expect that. However potato was dry and crumbly. A waiter didn't offer me a receipt and didn't look like she cared much about me. Unprofessional. I love the food here it's always fresh. Serving size is perfect it's not too much and not too little. My favorite right now is their BLT with avocado. The place is cute and small inside they have plenty of outdoor seating if you're like me who like to people watch and eat outside this is the perfect spot they also sell frozen yogurt. Their hamburgers are delicious they have tuna melts all kinds of club sandwiches they have salads they have pretty much everything for everyone. They have breakfast lunch and dinner. Staff is absolutely on point with their orders. Their kindness, cleanliness always brings me back. I love fast and friendly service they've been doing pretty well during this pandemic. After our hike my bf and I were starving...we'll really I was starving. I looked up places to eat breakfast that were dog friendly and found Mimo's cafe. There was no wait to be seated as long as a table was available. We found one that was not cleaned and soon after a waiter came to clean for us. Adriana our waitress came up to us with a container full of water for our German Shepard. We thought this was such a kind and attentive gesture on her part. She took our order after answering our questions about the menu. She was fast, attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious and well priced according to my bf. We will definitely be coming back for the food and the excellent breakfast. Thank You Adriana for making our breakfast experience an awesome one, especially during Covid. BTW restaurant is following social distancing by having outside dining, wearing masks and sanitizing the tables. My friend and I were on the waiting list for other breakfast place on the same street. We were told that we had to wait for at least 45 minutes. So, we though to walk around the area and came back later. When we walked by this coffee/snacks/brunch place, we saw lots of people sat outside of the patio. The food on their tables all looked not bad at all. So, we decided to eat here and called to cancel our waiting list. Mimos cafe is a quaint lil family owned diner in uptown whittier. The Owner exudes his pride of his business and treats everyone like family. He has fresh baked pastry items, delicious hot food (huge variety) and even does ice cream and smoothies, etc!! My Boyfriend and I enjoyed a nice Saturday breakfast and besides the owner being so nice and busting his butt with his staff bussing tables and serving. The entire staff was so helpful and courteous and the experience they gave us as 1st timers , made us repeat customers for sure. read more

This place is sooo cute. They play 60s music and food is good. Customer service is great the employees are really nice. They also have a outside area to eat and enjoy scenery. We come to Mimo's often. It's convenient, reasonably priced, and right around the corner from our house. However, the woman who works the morning shifts is very unpleasant. It makes us hesitant to come back. We order ahead and keep our fingers crossed that she is not the one answering. First off, I love Mimo's Cafe, the employees are wonderful and the service is always A+!! This review only applies to the green chilaquiles plate. As always the service was quick and friendly however the chilaquiles were dry, bland and where is the sauce? Basically semi-seasoned tortilla chips which also lacked color. I used green salsa to compensate for the lack of flavor. On to the beans. Unfortunately the beans were not great, also bland and the rice was dry, flavorless and maybe a few days old. My husband and I went to Mimo's for breakfast on Sunday morning before going to a movie down the street. We have both had gastric surgery so we eat small portions so we typically share 1 entree. We ordered the red chilaquiles plate with over easy eggs and no rice. Our breakfast arrived with rice and OVER WELL eggs. Unfortunately, it is way to common for restaurants to not properly prepare eggs but chilaquiles lovers will know that a runny yolk really makes the dish more enjoyable. I sent the eggs back. I was then told that the wrong plate was sent to the wrong table. I did not eat my chilaquiles while waiting for the eggs because I wanted to enjoy them with the runny yolk. The eggs came out. This time they were definitely over easy....too easy....even the white was runny. Sent them back again. The guy said he'd make a new plate So thinking they were redoing the dish I did not eat what was now cold chilaquiles and cold beans. He brought out eggs that were finally prepared properly so we ate the eggs but not the rest of the cold plate. I went to pay the check and told the cashier how bad the experience was but got no offer of a discount at all. I didn't ask for one because I do not like to make scenes but I told her I would not return to which she said nothing while she gave me my credit card slip and a pen to sign it with. I grew up in Whittier, but didn't discover the amazingness of Mimos until after I got married and moved to OC. My husband I like to dine here often for the great ambiance and yummy food. The food is very affordable. We love the salads, as they are generous and filling. We absolutely adore the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich. Its loaded with veggies and cheese on a buttered French roll. Its phenomenal!! We order this with potato salad, which tastes better than most potato salads at restaurants. I have also tried the Mexican food, which is delicious Mimos Cafe has delightful outdoor seating with umbrellas. I love the outdoor seating, which makes this place stand out above others. The staff is friendly and hard working. If you come on the weekends, there might be live music, which is a wonderful touch. This place is also dog friendly, which is great when we want to get our pugs out for a day of sunshine. We order plain hot dog weenies for the dogs. The hot dogs are actually quite delicious! Ok so we bought pizza at Marco Polo around the corner from this place, we wanted to sit down and eat our pizza right here because the pizza place was closing. One of the employees addressed us and said we can't eat their customers only. Cool fine, so we moved, we noticed some ants and decided to buy something just so we can sit down and eat ONE slice of pizza real quick.
