Dang! I see a lot of bad reviews for Mimi's and that's makes me sad because they have really good food! I've eaten them consistently for so many years now! Another thing I love about Mimi's is they add to their menu each season! they'll have limited edition seasonal meals they have seasonal ingredients only and are really good! I LOVE Mimi's with all my heart! But I do have to say that they don't always get it right, they're not perfectly flawless but if you go in person and tell them your complaint they'll do you right! either a refund or fix the issue if they can and I love that customer service from them! All in all Mimi's has always done right by me and they hardly ever let me down with their food! And that's because I ordered them delivery and couldn't get their good customer service to fix my problem. But I believe if you go to a restaurant and order a meal, hate it, don't say anything, suffer through the entire meal, pay, leave, and then write an angry review afterwards I strongly believe something is wrong with you as human being that is at a far more core and fundamental level. In conclusion, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, nice old style decor, great costumer service, and almost ALWAYS incredibly delicious food! And I love eating both their breakfast, and lunch/dinner menus! Went here on a Saturday afternoon although the dining room was full we were still seated very quickly the wait was only about 2 minutes, showed up as they were transferring from between breakfast and lunch so the entire menu wasn't available. My friend ordered bacon and egss and ordered a side of sauage. It looked delicious and they give you a lot of food. I ordered the half chicken with spinach and broccoli, the spinach was the star of this dish very tasty sautéed with garlic and well seasoned I felt myself wanting more. The broccoli was good as well the chicken was moist and the skin crispy unfortunately it could use a bit more seasoning as I felt it was a bit bland but nothing that a little salt and pepper couldn't fix. We loved this Mimi's Cafe location! We had a limited time for breakfast before going to the convention center for a tournament. Our server, Wallace, was ALL-STAR AMAZING! He was so courteous and patient with our larger party, and he somehow anticipated our needs even before we had to ask for stuff. Our food came out quickly, hot and delicious. Veterans Day was a great turn out here and feel without any staff to help, who were there did the best they could. Seriously, the managers need to figure out how to read a calendar and figure out how to schedule better. This review is in regards to their catering service. I ordered on Wednesday a 20 person tray of French pot roast for a gathering I had on Sunday. It was a super easy process ordering in their website. I called the morning of to confirm my order would be ready on time and the guy who answered knew exactly what my order was. He confirmed my pick up window and mentioned my order was already discussed with their chef in their morning meeting. I appreciated the reassurance. When I picked up, Amir, the restaurant manager, came out and helped pack up my order. He already had a bag of dining and serving utensils, and plates ready to go. He placed our tray in an easy to carry bag which also came with a tray of freshly cut baguettes. (We have ordered this same exact tray one time before, which my husband picked up, and was not given the bread and utensils) It was definitely a much better experience this time around. Our group really enjoyed the food. It was served hot, on a bed of mashed potatoes. The beef was very tender and the sauce had lots of flavor! We will happily order from their catering menu again. Visited this restaurant on a busy weekend so the wait time was 20 minutes. They called our table a little before 20 minutes while a lot of people were beginning to leave around 11 am. We realized that at 11 is when the lunch menu begins. It seems to me like more of a breakfast restaurant environment feel. Our server was attentive and asked for our drinks as soon as we sat down. The menu was quite large with breakfast and lunch options available. Ordered an omelette with a blueberry muffin. The muffins are said to be baked fresh daily and served with a small side of whipped butter. Our food took a while to be brought out and they forgot the avocado add on to two of the dishes. The portions I thought were quite small, especially the side of potatoes. The blueberry muffin with side of butter was the best part of the dining experience. Love the French theme from the decor to menu selections, the interior is French country and menu has a French influence with crepes, quiches and my favorite-French onion soup. I had a bowl of the French onion and my husband had the tomato basil. Be sure to ask for the basket of bread to accompany-so good! My husband also ordered the seasonal chicken crepes-full of roasted chicken, mushrooms, fresh spinach and cherry tomatoes and topped with a delicious Mornay sauce. Everything was really good. I honestly pleasantly really like Mimi's cafe for the few times I have been here. Although, I probably prefer coming here for breakfast foods more than their lunch or dinner service , but still worth stopping by if you have not yet. First off, I just want to say it is worth checking for coupons for Mimi's Cafe because they have a buy one get one free entree coupon that they often give out in your email. You do have to order two drinks to use the coupon but again still worth it because your check usually ends up being around $25. When I came for breakfast , it was pretty early so not a lot of people were at the restaurant and we were able to get seated right away. For breakfast, I really love getting eggs Benedict and was surprised to find out they have a Corned Beef Benedict. Which worked out in my favor because I was honestly craving both type of breakfasts. I will have to say, their breakfast potatoes were amazingly delicious. I ended up eating all of mine and all of my mom's because it was that good. The Corned Beef Benedict was really good also and def an order again dish whenever I come back for breakfast. Lunch on the other hand I would say is not my favorite, but maybe I do need to explore more of their menu to see what dishes I like. I ended up getting their "French" version of jambalaya with rice, but to be honest was not that pleased as the chicken in the dish was a little burnt and hard to eat and I just felt like I was eating tomato based sauce with a lot of celery and rice. I want to say I enjoyed my Cafe Latte with the vanilla flavoring more than I did my own dish. BUT again, I still really like Mimi's despite of my experience with my lunch. I recommend Mimi's if you guys have never been or want to go somewhere that is different from iHOP , Pegs, or Squeeze In for breakfast. Looks like it's been a couple of years since I've updated my review of Mimi's. Sunday's dinner visit was a comedy of errors. I had received an email from the Mimi's chain that noted on Sunday's you can get "AYCE" crepes for $9.99. I had my heart set on crepes and that was the only reason for visiting Mimi's on Sunday. Too bad, so sad, that offering was over for the holidays. Boo hoo for me, now what do I do? We had ordered appetizers which our server forgot to note so no appetizers. I ordered chicken and waffles to figure out what all the hype was on this uncommon pairing. What I got was chicken nuggets and waffles and to me, it was not an appetizing dish. First time stopping by MiMi's Cafe and all went well. I went for brunch with a friend and we had a blast. We had a short wait time to be seated which was great because I hate waiting. The lobby area is very nice. The restaurant was kinda busy but our server took very good care of us and moved with a sense of urgency once we were seated at our table.
