Visiting and got together with girlfriend as she needed meet where they provide outdoor dining due to the pandemic. Mimi's Cafe was the place. Great food and service and so glad to see many are back supporting our restaurants. I ordered Turkey Dinner and my gf ordered pot roast. Food was fresh and delicious. We ordered creme brulee and was just the right spot, not too sweet. My GF also ordred take out for her and mom for dinner. Was the right place for 2 old friends to catch up over a great meal. The food was delicious! Darlene was our server. She's knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I couldn't eat meat and she was very patient and helped me choose the perfect dish. I love Mimis ambiance and newly remodeled restaurant. They have soft music playing in the background making the evening very pleasant. More often than not there is a wait to get seated at this Mimi's Cafe. And when I say wait if you have 4-8 people in your group it will be a good 20 minutes. So we waited for half an hour this past Super Sunday for a party of 6 just to be called up, "Your party of 4 is ready." This mix-up was resolved within 5 minutes, but it was still frustrating. We got a funky table out of the process. In general, the food is French-inspired comfort food. KIDS MENU Really cute menus with meal pictures so your toddlers will pick out what they want right away. FLORENTINE BENEDICT - it's so good when it's done right. The bacon was so flimsy and chewy. Maybe it sat under the heated lamp too long. Still, this was a way better meal than the farm tacos or whatever they're called I had one time. PARKING ... can be rough, but it's free as long as you don't steal a space from the nearby Doubletree. WOMEN'S RESTROOM I've been here enough times to never experience a clean restroom. There is a baby changing station in the handicap stall. Had it without the fig mustard or mixed greens and instead spread some butter on one of the breads that was left from the complimentary bread and it hit the spot. Nice to know lots of Mimis Cafes are still around. We stopped here over the weekend with friends to have breakfast. I ordered an omlette with pancakes and bacon. We've been here on 3 occasions now, and I must say, we've enjoyed it every time. We were there yesterday, after a Dr. appointment. We were greeted at the door by a smiling staff member, and then were seated right away. The place was clean and obviously kept up, unlike some other Mimi's I've been to. Leticia, our server was extremely nice, polite, and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions! The entire staff seemed extremely friendly! I was impressed!! The ONLY criticism I'd give, is, I asked for a glass of water, and it was pretty awful. I don't know if it was tap water or the glass itself, but that really needs to be looked into. The customer service was terrible... my party waited 30 mins and when we were sat it was at a table top so I inquired with the hostess if we could move to a booth when one opened up. She said we had to go back to the bottom of the waiting list LMFAO which makes no sense at all. Asked to speak to a manager and after going back and forth with "The manager" they seated us at oNe of the 3 available booths. Once the food came I was shocked at how low the quality was from the last time I had been here. The potatoes were greasy and undercooked, the food had no flavor and the french toast was literally 2 bread slices with cream in the middle. Not dipped in egg like regular French toast, just dry bread with filling. All in all you're better off going to Denny's, you know it's bad if the food quality at Denny's is an upgrade. The eggs were made perfect to my taste. I also had the carrot raison muffin. It was nice and moist. Went in for a light dinner. I ordered the grilled cheese and French onion soup. The soup had a huge hunk of bread that wouldn't break apart. The broth was luke warm but the cheese was ridiculously hot. So I took the bread out and dipped my grilled cheese in it. Not conventional but it worked . The sangarita was a boxed drink and I took a couple of sips. The waiter was kind and very nice. He tried to make it up but I was so tired i just wanted to go to bed.
