Service was good, food was good. My breakfast plate came with a small hash browns and my wife's plate came with a big order of hash browns. What's up cook? When asked what kind of bread I wanted I asked if I could get flour tortillas instead. I got 3 small corn flour sized tortillas Got the bill and saw I was charged.99 for the tortilla while my wife's toast was good sized. If I knew there was a charge, I might have asked for the toast. I also noticed after I paid the bill that there was an adjustment for not paying cash. $2.30. Here I went 14 miles away to try this place that friends had told me about, Now I know what to expect read more

If you are looking for an old school dinner ambiance this is the place to be at. They tend to get busy so you might need to wait a bit. Many good options to choose from for breakfast. Service was good they all seem to help each other is they are backed up. I was looking forward to the pancakes and they did not disappoint. Chocolate shake was the perfect sweetness. Bacon was really crispy. I do want to go back to try other food options. read more

Disappointing customer service--will not be back.I always love supporting local businesses, but this restaurant completely missed the mark on customer service. I went in for breakfast, and part of my order never arrived. When I noticed the missing item was still on my bill and asked to have it removed, the waitress gave me an attitude.Even though it wasn't my fault, she claimed the pancakes were a "side dish" and that she couldn't credit me for them. Instead, I was only offered a 5% discount on a bill that was over $50--which doesn't even cover the cost of the food I never received. Out of frustration, I just paid the bill and left. It is incredibly disappointing to see a local spot care so little about taking care of their customers read more

I had a reservation at 7:00 AM for a large group for a team meeting. When we arrived, we were asked to sit at a table while we waited to be served. The waiter I spoke with told me that he could not take our order because the waitress assigned to us had not shown up on time. I asked if he could simply take our order and we would wait to pay until she arrived, but he told me, "No, I just serve coffee." I then asked if he had any idea when the waitress would arrive so we could decide whether it was worth waiting or if we should make other arrangements. He said he didn't know and simply walked away. At that point, we decided not to waste any more time and took our business to the Commerce Casino, where our group was welcomed and taken care of. This was my first time at Ozzie's, and unfortunately, it will be my last. When you have a large group with a reservation at 7:00 AM, you expect the restaurant to be prepared and ready to provide service. The lack of communication and customer service was extremely disappointing. read more

When I first walked in we were greeted and it all seemed perfect the location looked clean. Once we placed our order the service started to decline the server was nowhere to be found and then i noticed she was outside doing tik toks promoting the location. Food was OK but for the price and lack of service not worth it there are so many other breakfast places with excellent service you can go to. I think they need to take care of the paying customers before trying to promote the place. read more

Mixed reviews had me thinking twice but I went anyways. Love the classic diner style and decor. Busy place offering classic American cuisine. We waited about 20 minutes. The service was hit or miss and a little chaotic. They forgot a couple of our items. I tried their country fried steak. Small but flavorful so I'll take that. My wife loved her corned beef hash. She hadn't had one that good in a long time. My kids shared a turkey sandwich and bacon n eggs. They had no complaints. The prices are reasonable. Good food with a unique experience. read more

Ozzie's Diner in Commerce is one of those great old-school diners that feels like it hasn't changed much since the '50s or '60s. The retro décor gives it a really nostalgic atmosphere, and the food is consistently good. I go there for breakfast every now and then, and the service is always excellent. They have a great selection of both classic American diner food and Mexican dishes, so there's something for just about everyone. read more

We were in the area for shopping and decided to grab some food at Ozzie's. We came in on November 30th, around 2pm and were able to grab a both and order. I ordered the Hot Link breakfast with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and sourdough toast. It was very good and tasty, great meal. Our server was Maria.M and she was very nice and took care of us for our entire meal. Nice diner with plenty of seating and good prices. Plenty of parking as well. read more

Ozzie's Diner is a real 1950's diner. It is not a newer nicer dressed up to be a 50's diner. It is the real thing. It is family owned. They serve wonderful comfort food, just like you would get in any great diner. They also have a full bar. The place is so cute and comfortable. There is a counter and great booths. It is spotless inside and out. There is not a bad meal to be had there. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their breakfast fare is great. Their pancakes are fluffy and wonderful. Their hash browns are divine. You have to try their biscuits and gravy. Their waffles are super tasty. We especially love their burgers. They are cooked to order just the way you might want them. Their fries are great and they have a chili that is wonderful. The mac and cheese is so very good. They can make a great salad. You will love their beefeater sandwich. They have a menudo soup that is just the best. Parking is easy and free. The service is fast and very friendly. All of the staff is great. You will love this place. read more

I had Ozzie's on my list. I was in the area at the right time for lunch and stopped by. The restaurant has been in business sense 1957 . It does also have a bar in the back. The restaurant has that old dinner look to it . It was clean and looks great. I ordered the Ozzie club with Cole slaw. They do have many choices on the menu. The food came out and it all looked delicious. I enjoy the the Cole slaw. It had a sweet flavor and a little bit of vinegar flavor too. The sandwich is on lightly toasted bread with cranberry sauce. I really enjoyed it. The waitress was friendly too Overall I was happy I stopped by. read more

Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I am working down a list of all diners in LA and this being a well-known one on the list. Located in Commerce it's not my favorite area of town, but the food quality is worth the visit. They have a large parking lot with free parking and all of the staff that we encountered were very polite and prompt. Inside is quite large and half of it is a sports bar with big screen TVs and a full service bar. They did a good job on the design inside and would definitely be somewhere I'd want to check out in a future visit. They don't have outdoor seating but plenty of indoor options. They have a huge menu filled with all sorts of classics and they really market their steaks and meat, especially. For my breakfast, I chose the Hamburger Steak & Eggs and thought it was all around great. The patty was extra flavorful and I opted for a side biscuit with gravy, which was a great choice because it was very fluffy and very good. Pricing is extremely fair and the portion sizes are large. I would definitely recommend to any fan of diners and especially anyone in or visiting this part of LA. read more

We came across Ozzie's quite by accident driving down Telegraph Road to get around a major accident on I-5. I parked in the rear, walked in through the back door ... and stepped into a 1950s tavern. Authentic, retro not reproduction. The woman behind the bar was friendly, and service was great. I didn't look at the front dining room, but the bar area had heavy wood pillars and paneling, booths with wood tables and green leather upholstery (? vinyl or leather). The menu looks very good. I'll have to come back to try the food. read more

It is a Coffee Shop with a bar. Much like its neighbor STOX . Breakfast , Lunch or Dinner. I typically visit during breakfast. This visit I had the breakfast croissant with sausage and egg and crispy hash brown potatoes. My friend had the Ozzie special which is a steak two eggs hash browns and toast. The eggs were as ordered his steak was cooked perfectly good flavor and tender. The croissant was fresh and flaky. Service was attentive, and friendly. The restaurant is decided in two the front has large windows booths and a counter. It was updated in the 80s to a 50s throwback look with pink neon and white Formica. The bar is dark with natural woods a small dance floor. In the evening it has its own entry The parking lot has space for both cars and big rig trucks. Restrooms are extremely small in the front while not huge the restrooms in the bar are less claustrophobic. read more
