There are rumors around town that the Saloon has been sold to new franchise owners. I would highly recommend going somewhere else on the Inlet if you're looking for a meal worth the price. And if the rumors are true somewhere locally owned. I'm only writing this review because this has always been such a good spot, and I really hope they fix these issues.

The hollandaise sauce was some of the best I've ever had (and I have had a lot in various states). Perfect balance of creaminess and texture. The grits are nothing to get excited about as they are instant and slightly disappointing. Overall we both really enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying other items from the menu.

The interior was clean and had a definite "Mom and Pop" vibe. It is Veteran owned, which was a plus for us! The price was just right for the very good breakfast that we were served. Hidden gem. The staff was so friendly, the restaurant was nicely kept and clean. It was also decorated for the holidays which was lovely. Stopped at Millstone Biscuit Company for my first time today. I ordered the D-Ray, biscuit, country ham, hash brown and egg. The sandwich was excellent. Stopped by for brunch with the girls. I got the sausage egg and cheese biscuit with a side of home fries, and boy was it good! The biscuit was so fluffy and buttery!
