Always consistently tasty! I had to go to my favorite breakfast spot and I was not disappointed. The staff are always patient, welcoming and in great spirits no matter how busy it gets. I noticed that my bacon was a lot thinner than my last visit. I actually prefer a thicker cut so, I was a bit surprised but, my grits were creamy and delicious and my eggs and biscuit was good stuff. The biscuits need to be cooked longer add probably needed at least one more time before roll out because my biscuit falls apart falls apart and the meats always good but the the biscuit itself actually probably needs to cook another five minutes cause they're not golden brown on top and they're tasty, I'm not gonna take away that they are delicious when you get them and when you take that first bite is unbelievable but then as you get ready to take your second, the biscuit starts falling apart. First time eating at Millstone Biscuit Co. Just recently opened. The place is very clean and has that modern country feel. The owner or manager I'm not sure which, was very nice and made you feel welcome. I ordered the Millstone Biscuit Platter, and my wife ordered Gavin's Sausage Gravy Platter.The food was delicious and cooked perfectly to order. I strongly suggest giving this place try, because once word gets out on how good it is, it's going to be difficult getting a seat. Especially for the price, you can't beat it. My only complaint and I'm sure it's just a personal taste of mine is, I prefer fresh cut potatoes for home fries, not cubed frozen potato out of a bag. Again price makes up for that. read more

Never had a chicken biscuit so wonderful as this. Next time I will get it with the gravy, but it just looks so heavy, but maybe worth it?! This place is tiny, it's a bit hidden, but WORTH the find! OMG! FRESH wonderful food for everyone. I highly recommend getting those and I highly recommend trying this place when visiting Myrtle beach. The price of food is similar to Bojangles and McDonalds but 20 times better quality. Went there twice in the last 2 days lol one breakfast trip one lunch. I enjoyed the breakfast so much that i brought my dad back for lunch. The breakfast sandwich was delicious! The hash brown was decent too! Loved it. The lunch was good, my burger was well done even though i asked for medium but was still pretty good. The roll was slammin! My dads chicken fingers were very salty but the meat inside was tender. Fries and tots were awesome! The staff is kind, all in all i will definitely return. Rad. This place was simply rad. Besides the amazing variety of biscuits which were wonderful, the owner and staff we're on point to the T. Either being created by Rhett (as in Butler) who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and honest. Then there was Jamie who was a delight as well. Moreover, the owner, Steven, came out and spoke with us about our meals and just chatted in general. Really nice guy. The only drawback was that the owner was a West Virginia "Mountaineer!" JJ. Millstone is a refreshing new business that has entered the desolate breakfast scene of Murrells Inlet with a menu centering around one thing they do very well: biscuits. Whenever I think of any biscuit, images of small, crusty, dry flaking sadness conjures to my head, but Millstone proves that when done right, they are delicious and beautiful to behold. I ordered a standard breakfast: eggs, bacon, homes fries, with a biscuit. The biscuit was the star of the show and the rest of the meal was 4/5. My only complaint is the scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked, brown and burnt in a few areas - canceling out all the natural flavor of the eggs. I saw others with normal, yellow eggs, so probably a mistake, but clearly they need to do better with quality control. My dad had pork roll, egg, and cheese on a biscuit and said it was very good. However, with how large and fluffy the biscuits are, he complained that one thin slice of pork roll was too small a portion. Though I didn't try it myself, I agreed the meat to bread ratio looked lackluster; they should make it 2 or 3 slices. The restaurant is clean and quaint, but a bit small. The dining room is noisy, echoes, and it seems like there is usually a line of people splitting the the restaurant in half while waiting to order and pay. Not much room for dining in; about 75% of the customers seemed to take-out and have pre-ordered online. The chairs are hard, cold, and uncomfortable. I'm happy with the excellent food and look forward to coming back and trying more of the breakfast menu and perhaps lunch. The menu is focused, knows its place, and carries plenty of "chefy" options while still keeping things simple. With an improvement to quality control for the rest of the food outside biscuits and more comfortable seating and ambiance there is potential here for five stars. It arrives to the table looking like way more than you can eat and before you know it, it's nearly gone!
