This was a mistake going back here. Last year, I went in with my daughter and both got fit for glasses, both at a high price and paid over $500 over our insurance but at the time thought it was necessary until I learned that many other optical locations charge much less. This year, I began to receive multiple texts and calls from their office to return for a check up and new glasses. I was quoted $60 for an exam and contacts fitting since I was ready to try them again and spoke to the front desk about the process and cost multiple times over the phone. When I arrived, 20 mins early to my appointment only to be seen 30 mins after my appointment (it was not busy at all) I did the exam and contacts fitting and consulting when I arrive to receive my contacts I'm greeted with a bill of $120 (double what my quote was prior on the phone, knowing they have my insurance already on file) and decide to slip in some extra charges on top. I was aggravated but still payed. They gave me a 5 day supply to (test) and make sure I like them even though I've already told them I do and they then write down the total of $30 out of pocket for a years supply with my insurance covering everything else. Now 6 days later they decide to ask my if I want to order the contacts (thinking they already took care of it since it's been a week since I was in) and then tell me the out of pocket cost is going to be $462. Not only were the new staff horrible and not friendly or welcoming, they had attitude and stood up to look down at me when I addressed my concern with extra charges. Also, their new Dr (Dr.T) was very rude and as I was mentioning my condition, stated "I didn't know this was a therapy session." How rude and insensitive for someone who is supposed to be a Dr and treats his clients like they are nothing. I have an autoimmune disorder. This is the kind of human you want to take over? I would expect this horrible scam and treatment from a car dealership and a drug dealer but not a small family optometrist in the middle of Yucaipa. DONT WAIST YOUR TIME or MONEY. There are plenty of other places in Yucaipa. People who actually care and won't try to steal your money. read more

I have suffered from extremely dry eyes for many many years and the only advice I ever got from Kaiser Optometry was to use drops. I used drops for years and years and kept them on my nightstand because whenever I woke up my eyes were so dry it was excruciating to even blink before I got the drops in. I finally went to Miller Optometry for a second opinion about another issue that I wasn't convinced Kaiser was diagnosing correctly and Miller Optometry did a complete eye exam with scans and were extremely courteous and professional. Dr Dosaj then suggested some treatments for my dry eyes which I had done and I have not had to use a single eye drop for six months now. It was my first time coming here last week and let me start by saying that I am so happy I stumbled upon this place. I regularly have to work in this area and so it was convenient for me to make an appointment here. Making an appointment was easy and when I arrived for my appointment, the staff could not have been nicer. The doctor was very thorough with the whole appointment and answered all my questions. The staff was really helpful while I was checking in and out. I didn't need to get a new frame for my glasses just yet but when I do, I will be coming here. I couldn't stop staring at all the different frames. Their frames are super trendy and cute...I can't wait to come back to pick one out when I need it. Love the staff here they are always professional, polite, and enthusiastic. The optometrist and technicians take the time to make sure you feel well taken care to make sure all your eye needs are met. In addition they are taking extra precautions due to covid. All staff is wearing masks and all rooms/equipment are disinfected. Face masks are required to enter and your temperature is taken before entering the back room. Carla began my exam by getting my current health information and used several different machines to get up to date readings of my eyes. Next, Dr. Dosaj provided the most comprehensive exam I've ever had. I'm always given answers to questions I didn't realize I had. I feel like Dr. Dosaj really cares about my vision today and what it will be tomorrow. He provides details that help me make better decisions for my long term health. Finally Grace helps point out flattering frames and provides descriptions of the many options available for my glasses. I've had unsuccessful fittings for my progressive lenses elsewhere, (couldn't wear them), but Grace has nailed it every time! My new glasses were ready for pickup in ten days. Although the outside looks unassuming, the actual practice has all you could ask for in an optometry office--personal interactions with the doctors (I met both Dr. Dosaj and Dr. Tiamzon), super friendly and professional staff, top of the line technology, and a huge range of frames (all the way up to YSL, Gucci, etc). My only complaint is that they never informed me of the extra charge, the charge they hide in the fine print at the end of all the documents you sign when you're filling out pages and pages of paperwork before the appointment. They had multiple opportunities to tell me that there would in fact be a charge, but each time I mentioned that I was just there for the free eye exam, they didn't mention it. I've been wearing glasses for close to 15 years and always dread getting my eyes checked. I've been to countless places and they are all typically the same experience. You go in do the test and fail to read the smallest line. The Doctor yells at you for not taking care of your eyes/glasses. Scorns you for neglecting to wear sunglasses while driving. The same machines, old-school machines that somehow tell you that you're slowly going blind and doctors that really don't explain WHY everything is blurry, or WHY you see floaters or get headaches or even WHAT astigmatism is. After which they gouge you with this coating and that type of lens and some sort of extended warranty that you will ultimately forget about. But alas, earwax. Such is the life for me. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Dosaj at Miller Optometry fully expecting a similar experience but with the added benefit of being able to see again after a disastrous mishap involving superglue and inferior anti glare coating with my current pair of super expensive glasses. For starters. The lecture about taking care of everything was delivered in a way that did not make me feel like I was a failure +1 Star. The initially test was administered with my current glasses with the standard letter chart, But the rest of the equipment that tested my peripherals/ dilation and depth of field were something out of a SciFy story. One of the machines made a 3D model of my eye after dilating it without eye drops or having me have a friend drive me home post exam +1 star. Dr. Dosaj went over every aspect of the exam with me and explained using the 3D model of my eye what exactly problem is and how they can be corrected using proper care and all that. +1 star. The selections of frames and the staff were very nice and helpful in assisting me choose my new face. Generally a process involving me texting pictures to my mom and having her choose. But I was able to make this big boy decision on my own +1 star. Fast forward a week, and I'm here sitting pretty in my new frames; looking flawless and seeing flawlessly. This place is as crooked as they come. I caught them in multiple lies and went in for an appointment after they double charged my wife and they attempted to do the same to me. It wasn't an accident, it's an intentional practice they have. Then when we try to resolve the issue they change their story over and over doing everything they can to avoid accountability. First they said our insurance didn't cover the exam, then they said they do but only a portion, then they say oh it wasn't for the same thing, oh we have to wait till Monday, etc etc. This place is ran by thieves. I was sent to Miller Optometry through the VA Community Care program. I was provided with an incorrect diagnosis, observed after I returned to the VA to see the VA ophthalmologist. Not only did Dr. Philip Ian Tiamzon declare I needed cataract surgery on both eyes. He did not provide an eyeglass Rx at the time the office visit was completed. The office staff said the prescription could not be provided because "He was busy with another patient." I had to return later that day to obtain it. The VA doctor reported that all that Dr. Tiamzon recorded was incorrect, including a wrong prescription. I was NOT a candidate for cataract surgery. My eyeglass Rx was corrected at the VA and revised such that I could get my eyeglasses directly from the VA information, not Miller Optometry. Thank heaven for this. In concluding, I'll assess Dr. Tiamzon's chair side manner as cold and completely uninterested in my optical medical history. If you do go to Miller Optometry, choose a different doctor! read more

I went to Miller Optometry for a new patient annual eye exam with contact lens and prescription glasses fitting. The entire process to schedule my appointment was seamless, they called my insurance ahead of time to verify my coverage and emailed me a simple web form so I could do all the required paperwork in advance. When I arrived, plenty of parking was available and there were signs directing how to get to the front door. The building is well maintained and the initial waiting room was comfortable with a few couch chairs (there was also a second waiting room with comfortable chairs). Face masks are optional for patients although staff wear them and you can also wait in your car and call them to let them know you are here if you are health conscious. The technician who took my initial eye health screen tests did it without the uncomfortable eye drop test and instead used updated modern equipment that was easy and comfortable. All patient and testing rooms were sanitized before you entered and had signs saying whether they had been cleaned or not. All staff were courteous and friendly. I had Dr. Nassar and she was excellent - extremely knowledgeable (I had lots of questions due to changes in my eyesight) and efficient. She corrected the problem I was having with my vision and adjusted my prescription easily. She also offered me an extra contact lens case and free contact samples at my appointment. At the end of my appointment, I met with an eyeglass expert to make an order for contacts. She made ordering them quick because the office already had noted all my insurance information and prescription details. She even offered me a $200 rebate for ordering a year supply of contacts and offered to ship them to my house when they arrive. I was really impressed with the trendy and chic glasses they had and wish that I was ready to get a new pair of glasses. I usually get mine online at discount retailers but their big selection of super stylish frames will make me think twice when I am ready to get a new pair. I am extremely satisfied with the level of care I received, the steps taken to maintain a clean facility and how easy it was to get an appointment and go through ordering contacts. read more

The go-to place to get scleral contact lens. Dr. Dosaj has the necessary tools and expertise to professionally fit you for scleral contact lens. I have had cornea transplants and as a result, have astigmatism in both eyes. My vision with glasses deteriorated to the point where I was legally blind in one eye. If you have vision problems you know how frustrating this can be. I heard about scleral lenses and was having a hard time finding an optometrist to fit them. I had had glasses made at Miller Optometry in the past and decided to give them a call. I was amazed by the dramatic improvement in my vision. With the new lenses, my vision can be corrected to 20:25 in both eyes. I was very satisfied with both the services provide and the price. A definite reccomend. read more
