You go in do the test and fail to read the smallest line. The Doctor yells at you for not taking care of your eyes/glasses. Scorns you for neglecting to wear sunglasses while driving. The same machines, old-school machines that somehow tell you that you're slowly going blind and doctors that really don't explain WHY everything is blurry, or WHY you see floaters or get headaches or even WHAT astigmatism is. After which they gouge you with this coating and that type of lens and some sort of extended warranty that you will ultimately forget about. But alas, earwax. Such is the life for me. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Dosaj at Miller Optometry fully expecting a similar experience but with the added benefit of being able to see again after a disastrous mishap involving superglue and inferior anti glare coating with my current pair of super expensive glasses. For starters. The lecture about taking care of everything was delivered in a way that did not make me feel like I was a failure +1 Star. The initially test was administered with my current glasses with the standard letter chart, But the rest of the equipment that tested my peripherals/ dilation and depth of field were something out of a SciFy story. One of the machines made a 3D model of my eye after dilating it without eye drops or having me have a friend drive me home post exam +1 star. Dr. Dosaj went over every aspect of the exam with me and explained using the 3D model of my eye what exactly problem is and how they can be corrected using proper care and all that. +1 star. The selections of frames and the staff were very nice and helpful in assisting me choose my new face. Generally a process involving me texting pictures to my mom and having her choose. But I was able to make this big boy decision on my own +1 star. Fast forward a week, and I'm here sitting pretty in my new frames; looking flawless and seeing flawlessly. When I checked, my order showed that the glasses would be ready for pickup on 4/30. That date came and went with no call, text, or email notifying me of any delay. I called on 5/1 and was told the glasses would be available on Monday. Monday passed--again, no communication. I called that evening before closing and was told they would have my glasses on Tuesday, 5/5. It is now the afternoon of 5/5, and I still have not received any updates. When I called again, I was told the glasses had not arrived and that they "might" be available sometime this week, but no specific timeline could be provided. It has now been 12 business days, and there seems to be no sense of urgency or concern for the customer experience. Payment was collected promptly, but the product has yet to be delivered, and communication has been consistently lacking. Based on this experience, I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

One of the receptionists told me they had a much bigger selection online if I couldn't find what I was looking for. Since I planned to order online, I asked if she could provide my daughter's pupillary distance (PD). Before knowing whether I was even a patient there, she told me that only my doctor could provide it, or they could measure it if I was purchasing glasses through their office. I explained that Dr. Vu is our doctor and that we've been patients here for years, but she simply said that next time I would have to ask him. What was especially frustrating is that I have EyeMed insurance, and Target Optical is in-network, so of course I wanted to use them. I only planned to order online because of the limited in-store selection. I've worked in optometry for years, and in my experience, measuring a patient's PD is a routine task that opticians perform regularly. The interaction left me feeling disappointed and undervalued as a long-time patient. Because of this experience, I ended up canceling my own appointment that was scheduled for a few days later. (Walmart Vision & Glasses) Per CA law, the optometrist cannot be employed by Walmart. I went to the prior optometrist and got the best Rx of my life. So I have been trying, for several months to get an eye exam from the current optometrist, since it has been 4 years since the last exam. Their office phone will NOT be answered. I tried calling 3 times today to make an appointment. I left a message which after 3 hours has not been returned. I have tried stopping by on days when they are supposed to be open (T, Th and Sat) to find them closed. The business hours on the door are wrong, and indicate they are open on days they are closed. So after no returned call (going on 4 hours) I tried calling the Walmart Vision place to ask if the optometrist next door was in. Yes, he's in, I was told. You can do a "walk in" but be aware that they close from 2 to 3. I'm coming right over, I said. So I get there and I'm told it is going to be a long wait because they have 3 people waiting and they are closed from 2 to 3. I should have made an appointment, I was told. You haven't answered your phone the three times I called today. So the wait would be hours. The convenience of this place on my way to work is not worth the aggravation of trying to get in to see this guy. Some day I hope to be in a line of work that will allow me not to answer my phone, like these folks. I'm going elsewhere.

I've been wearing glasses my entire life. This place is easily the worst as far as service and overall competence. When I arrived, parking was convenient right in front of the office. The front desk team was welcoming, informative, and made check-in simple. The office itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. I especially appreciated that I was seen right on time without a long wait. Dr. Ledesma was exceptional. He has a very calm, reassuring presence that immediately put me at ease. He took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and questions, and I never felt rushed. What stood out most was how attentively he listened and then explained everything in a way that reflected what I had shared with him. He was both thorough and efficient, which is a rare combination. The exam room and equipment were clean and well maintained, and the entire visit felt organized and professional.
