I rate it 0.. I went to have eye exam for glasses over 3 weeks ago at Beaumont Location. I was told glasses would be Ready in 2 weeks. I never got a call. After 3 weeks I called and was Told not ready. I CALLED AGAIN AFTER 2 DAYS, I was told Not ready again. I explained my issue with Macular Degeneration. I was told She would call the Lab and give me a call back to see What the Issue is. I Never G OT A CALL. I WANT MY Money BACK. Because Of My Macular Degenerationh I have to wait 2 weeks before and after exam. to have glasses done Right. This place is AWFUL. I was a patient in the past for a long time until I found out what kind of lies they tell patients. They diagnosed me with glaucoma, Im in my early 20s at that time, so I would keep coming back for more test and started me on medication which are pricey. Heard the same story from one of my coworkers daughter. I went for a second and third opinion on 2 other providers and they both said I didn't have or they don't even suspect glaucoma. Also tried to get medical records multiple times, no call back! What a horrible experience. I felt scammed! Also wait lines have always been 2-3 hours whichever location you go too. Everything about this business was a terrible experience. Messed up my eye glass and contact lens prescriptions so bad. Then they referred me to an Ophthalmologist saying they couldn't help me. That was a mistake - waste of money and time as the Ophthalmologist examined my eyes throughly and found that my eye glass and contact lenses were not the right Prescriptions for my eyes. So I made another appointment with them to correct the problem and they said that their policy would not allow them to fix it? Terrible customer service not just once but multiple times and attempts to get it corrected. They also lost my husband's eye glasses and had to reorder them - that took months to get them. Unfortunately, as Dr. V's business expands, customer service declines. I have been going to Dr. Tanya since she opened her small office with 2 staff employees over a decade ago. Made an appointment for the 2nd street location. I specifically asked if it was located next to a Mexican restaurant in a shopping center. I was told "yes". However, when I arrived, I was informed the appointment was at the Sundance location. The doctor was not at that location. It was obvious. The phone was ringing off its hook. One of them was texting on her cell phone. The second one was ignoring the phone call. A third employee answered the phone and convened the message to the one texting about a customer request. Of course, Ms. Texter could not be bothered. It looked so unprofessional. Finally, I arrived at the Sundance location late for my appointment. The business now has a corporate approach. It no longer has a family friendly environment. Too bad, customer service is no longer a priority. Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. Lobby is very clean and has plenty of glasses to choose from. I was greeted with a friendly receptionist when I entered the lobby with minimal wait before my examination. The examination was thorough and with the latest technology. When I was in the doctor's exam room I was tested and then met with the doctor via Telehealth on the monitor in the room. This was a little different and first for me but seemed to work out fine. I was then directed to an eyeglass specialist where I was setup for new glasses. Pricing was very reasonable and was able to get all the features and coatings I needed. read more

After being unable to get my glasses from the calimesa office, I transferred my prescription to the 2nd street office. The director admitted that the calimesa office lost my original order, or rather the order to remake my glasses, and that I could select new frames and she will reorder my glasses, and put a 5 day rush. That was Aug 6. Aug 12, no glasses, but was told to check back Aug 16 or 17. Aug 16, no glasses. And although I had requested that the director call the lab and find out exactly where my glasses were, there was no call back. I'm new to wearing contact lenses. I purchased a years worth of monthly lenses. After a few months of struggling with the lenses I decided dailies would be a better fit. I called to order the dailies. Unfortunately, I will be charged a $60 fee because I didn't contact them within a certain window of time. I hadn't called sooner because I tried to push through and use the lenses I purchased. No one told me was I had a certain amount of time to return if the lenses didn't work. I ended up caving and set an appointment for the refitting. The lady that set my appointment was VERY helpful and understood my frustration. Fast forward to today. I rescheduled my appointment due to my husband being called in to work and I now needed to pickup my child from school. I called 24+ hours ahead of time. The person I spoke to was rude and condescending. She scolded me for not rescheduling within 48hrs. Life happens .... I called in as soon as I knew I wouldn't be able to make the appointment. Upon entry, I was told my two daughters and I had to have masks to enter and was Informed they did not have masks for us, so we were told to walk across the parking lot to Best Buy and ask them for 3 masks. Well...The new location is nice. The eye doctor was cool, knowledgeable, and she answered all of my questions. I'm rating this place a 3 star because it took me nearly 2.5 hours to be out the door. Yeah, people want to be in and out the door. For more context my appt was at 1:20PM and I left the office at 3:40PM. Another lady was there at 1:30 and she left the same time that I did but her appt was for an eye glass replacement! Sheesh. My advice to new customers...Go during your day off or take a half day. To Focus Vision, your new location is nice and clean but you guys need to stop overbooking so you can keep up with the customers. I prefer the old location because they got their system down. My recent visit for new glasses was the last time I will go here. Their selection is very limited and the display glasses were very dirty with fingerprints at 9am. Hygiene is obviously not a priority. I only give 2 stars because the turn around time for my order was good. However, my glasses were wrapped in a piece of paper with a rubber band. In my 30 years of seeing an optometrist. This is the worst experience I have had. Mind you, I've been to Focus Vision in Beaumonton 2nd Street. The year prior. I wanted to give this location (Sundance) a try since it's on the same block as my community. They overbooked their appointments. If you want to give this place a try. Plan on spending not 1 hour but a min of 2 hours here. The waiting time to see the dr is very long. When it is time for the eye exam. You didn't even know it was done. That's how quick it was. The dr rushes through the eye exam. She doesn't go over what you need or want. Gives you whatever prescription glasses/contact lens/trial they feel like giving you. No questions ask of you, and you're sent to sit down with the ladies to order glasses or contact lenses. I'm not sure which is worse, the dr or the girl that worked in ordering my contact lenses. I don't think she knows what she was doing. I explained to her the brand of contact lenses I wanted, and I told the nurse who checked me in that I want the same contact lens I have always used for years (Optic Air). Which should've been in their system. This girl was so confused and told me Optic Air was discontinued. I pulled my phone and Googled it up, and I showed her that she's wrong. She went to talk to the dr to explain what I wanted. After 30 mins of going back and forth with this girl. She told me she would email the dr. What a waste of time. I waited a few weeks to follow up to see if I could put in my order for the air optic. I was told I would need to be fitted/trial again for the Air Optic. The receptionist said she would email the dr for the trial. I waited 2 weeks to follow up. Nothing again. Long story short. I keep following up every 2 weeks until it passes 60 days to get a free trial from the original trial. They told me I would need to schedule another appointment for a trial that will cost another $60. I agreed to the charges so I could get it over with and get my air optics contact lenses. Since they open the Sundance location. Focus Vision is a hot mess. They need to work on their time management and take their time to examine their patient and give the prognosis even if there are no changes in the patient eye sights. They need to retrain those girls who are assisting the patients with ordering their glasses/contact lenses. BTW, what is this virtual appointment they have now? No dr onsite. That's what they had me scheduled for my trials. I've been a patient of Focus Vision for approximately 3-4years. I will no longer be a patient at Focus Vision. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. We went to the original Beaumont location and it was the wrong place. The girl said good thing you came early, you have time to make it to the other location. We charge a fee if you are late. Like a give two fluffs about this freaking office. (We always go to Costco but now my wife's insurance got switched) She works for the State and she's a supervisor. So now we are here. The only reason we are here is because my teenager wants contacts. So they charge my insurance company and charge me an additional $100 because we are getting contacts. I have been wearing glasses my whole life, so i know the drill. This is not my first rodeo. Then my kid couldn't put on the contacts and they charge me another $35 to show her again how to do it. So i tell them we're not going to fill the prescription with them, that we just need the prescription and the girl at the front makes a face. I guess that doesn't sit well with them and they prescribe the most expensive contacts at $85/mo. Long story short. The Costco in La Quinta does take our insurance but since we had already used it. It was useless. So I pay AGAIN...$125 @Costco for another exam. They give me the contacts prescription. The doctor says she's 14 ...use these contacts they're only $24 per refill. So I'm out $284. I could have just avoided this place in the beginning and paid cash at Costco. Whatever you do... AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS! Go anywhere but here. my only intent for this review is that the truth be available to those attempting to find an honest place that truly cares about their customers. this is NOT the place!!! RUN! now dont get me wrong, everything will go just fine if you do all the things they require, pay for your overpriced glasses or contacts through them, wait the long wait of 3 weeks or longer with no tracking updates, but if you dare request your very own contacts prescription that YOU paid for and are entitled to that is where you are in trouble. these women that are able to go into their job everyday knowing they are going to try to get as much money from all these people who literally cannot function properly without their eyeglasses or contacts and be rude while doing it are so wrong. they will do anything to protect themselves from the shady business they do, although eventually they fixed my issue when they realized i knew my rights and what they were doing could get them in trouble, all of a sudden the trial pair of contacts they told me they didnt have that same day was in stock and the doctor that was nearly impossible to reach suddenly was available. it was a nightmare and a huge waste of time. i am grateful that eventually they were able to do the right thing and not withhold my prescription from me, but after the contact lenses i ordered over three weeks ago arrive, i will never ever go back there and i hope that my experience is able to save you some time, stress, and money. there is a reason this business has low ratings and multiple complaints against them. also beware of needing to get in contact with them via call because they will set their phone to busy on days they are open so you cannot reach them!! read more

I've been getting glasses from Focus Vision at Beaumont 2nd St for some years now and last year, when I went to get my eye exam, they told me to go see a specialist since there might be something with my eyes and only the Sundance have the service so they told me to go there last year and it seemed fine but early this year, when I had to go to my follow-up exam, I no longer trust Focus Vision especially the one at Sundance. Earlier this year, when I went to my follow-up exam on my eyes, they made me pay upfront before getting seen and told me I should get my results in about 2 weeks but about 2-3 months later, they still haven't told me until I decided to call about it again and then they finally told me but not saying anything about if there's something wrong or not since they wanted me to go in again because it's been too long, but I declined since they made me wait too long, yet didn't get a proper result. Not only that, during the few months, about basically 4 months now, after I found out they filed a claim to my insurance and my insurance paid them for the same service I paid for, the people at Focus Vision at Sundance have been making it hard on me to get my money back. They will always say that they need to talk to this person or that person and after many back and forths, they finally admitted to my insurance months later that they do owe me and that they put my money as credit on my account with them, which I'm guessing it's the patient chart they create for all patients, which they never told me before that they put it as credit until months later. When I found out about the credit, I asked if I can get my money back in cash instead of credit but for some reasons, it's so hard to get the answer from them too since recently, they seem to be avoiding me and the person that seemed to know will always be busy now or out of office. I've been too patient with them for this long because I was being considerate, but it's been over 3 months now, that's already more than enough time so I think now they know they owe me, they're trying to avoid me to try and get away with that. Focus Vision, especially the one at Sundance, have really bad service and I've learned my lesson to not go there again besides get my money back. To anyone who's considering going there for eye care, be warned. I really don't want to give a star at all but I have to. I guess the 2nd st one can have it. read more

My 1st fitting was great until it wasn't it was the wrong prescription so I go back again get a great optometrist who helps me and when it was time to return she was not available as she had gone to another office. So I'm rescheduled and rescheduled due to their emergencies and the third time I did miss an appointment but then came in today only to be told there would be another fitting charge!!!
