We ordered off a kiosk and got an egg puff with their oreo soft serve on the side. We waited about 10 minutes since they were making the egg puff fresh. The place is small and they have a bar with about 4 seats. The egg puff with the soft serve was yummy, would recommend that. The boba on the other hand wasn't my favorite. I got 50% sugar but my drink wasn't sweet at all. The boba was on the chewier side so overall my drink was not great. Would probably try a different boba spot since there are many on Taraval, but the dessert was still good.
Was in the neighborhood and wanted try a new boba shop, so we stopped by Milktopia. The shop is cute, and they have a giant kiosk for ordering. There was only one person working there, and a few customers inside when we arrived. We tried their soft serve and Jasmin boba tea. The softserve was a ok, but man their boba drink was really bad. Sorry, not my cup of tea It tasted synthetic, and the boba were hard and flavorless. Not sure why they got such high ratings. Definitely not worth the money I paid.
This place is so cute and the soft serve was so yummy! Texture was amazing (super thick and chewy), and the milkyness and sweetness level was perfect! Pairing it with an egg waffle was the move. Service was a bit slow though. Our egg waffle took a while (we wished the guy prepped that first THEN the soft serve), and we were the only ones there...And I wish it was crispier on the outside (hence the 4 stars). This is still a solid place to come though, and we'll probably be back to try more flavors!
I really enjoyed my time visiting Milktopia! I've always seen it but this was my first time going in. I was really hoping for a regular matcha but after talking to who I think the owner is, I decided on the strawberry crema. I went to another bubble tea shop close by and I won't name names, but they were not very nice. Walking into Milktopia & having the person working/or owner (not sure who it was) but she was a very very sweet lady and explained what the crema was to me. She was very kind and that is what I really appreciate and sold me on this place. Not only that but the drink was fantastic!!! So glad I listened to her. Can't wait to come back here and support this business more. I really wish I got her name as she was lovely!
We ordered the passion fruit lychee and the salty egg egg puff. They both tasted good. The tea is nothing special for the price. We looked forward to the salty egg egg puff. It does taste good and the salty egg flavor did not overwhelm but it wasn't cooked well. It was still soft when they took it out and couldn't even sit up straight inside the paper bag. Could have been better.
What did I just pay for?! I paid over $8 for a tiny shake and it was disgusting. I was already in shock when they handed me the small drink. For $7-8 (including a 4% surcharge and tip), you'd think you would get a large sized drink? That thing was tinier than ever! I would be able to justify paying that much for a drink if it at least tasted good. Super disappointed! Please learn to make better drinks at an appropriate size if you're going to be charging so much for them.
Located in the Parkside neighborhood, Milktopia is a small unassuming storefront; however, once you step inside you're greeted with a wide array of tea beverages, snacks and soft serve options - something for everyone! Inside Milktopia, ordering can be done either with one of their employees or at the kiosk. Seating isn't plentiful in the store, which makes sense given the size; however, there are four bar stool style seating available for those of you wanting to enjoy your selections. Otherwise, most patrons often take their goodies to-go and enjoy them while strolling around the area. I ordered their mango pomelo sago, the HK silky milk tea, and the salty egg puff. Mango pomelo sago is a personal go-to drink of mine, and I'm happy to share that the one crafted by Milktopia tastes just as good as any of my favorites. The HK silky milk tea was authentic, although I will note they use evaporated milk (as opposed to the usual condensed milk) so the drink is a little less sweet than it normally is, which could be a bonus to some. Their egg puffs are freshly made and take about 10 or so minutes to prepare. Their salty egg puff was a delicious mix of savory and sweet flavors, and they also have other unique egg puff flavors including oreo, boba, and meat floss (which I'll definitely be back to try in the future). If you're in the Parkside area and are looking for your next best boba stop, then I highly recommend giving Milktopia a try!
When you enter, there's a kiosk for ordering. The inside of the shop is quite small, but there are four high stools available for seating. There were two people in front of me when I arrived a little after 2pm on Saturday. After placing my order, I sat on one of the stools to wait for my drink. From the time I arrived to when I got my drink, it took about 30 minutes, which felt like a long wait. There were two staff members making drinks behind the counter, and a third person joined later. I ordered a Jasmine Green Milk Tea with 25% sweetness. The boba had a good texture but did lack a bit of flavor. Overall, the drink was decent. It was more on the lighter side than rich, so it wasn't the creamiest. The tea had a good fragrance.
I tried their Paradise Island Fruit Tea and Mango Pomelo Sago drink. The paradise drink was pretty good & refreshing, it had a nice tea flavor. I added boba to this drink and their boba was slightly hard in the middle. Also, the drink didn't have enough boba for it be an extra 80 cents charge. On the other hand, their Mango Pomelo Sago drink was delicious! It was like a mango slushie. This drink included crystal boba and sago. Their crystal boba had a better texture than their regular boba.
I love coming here for their egg puffs. They also have a variety of drinks to choose from. Hong Kong style menu. I asked the owner and he's from Hong Kong so it makes it even better. Their honey soft serve was pretty good too. I'll come back to try their spamasubis and other egg puffs. I really recommend their original egg puff.
A friend of mine recommended the HK Silky Milk Tea here, so I gave it a try while in the area. The drink was very rich and creamy! The perfect balance for my palate. A classic strong black tea flavor that I adore. The caffeine was also pretty hefty too. Kept me awake for a good while. KEEP IN MIND: Taraval doesn't have any parking really. So definitely aim to park in a nearby neighboorhood. There's also no seating inside. Takeout only!
After dining at the nearby Happy Family Chinese restaurant for lunch, we were looking for dessert. Milktopia was such a great find! It's a little different from most boba restaurants in that they offer soft serve. The vanilla ice cream soft serve with boba was good. The boba had an excellent texture. Cooked all the way through, soft, bouncy, good size-not too small, and nicely chewy. I've never seen a boba filled puff waffle before and had to have it. I haven't ordered a puff waffle in a while. Milktopia's waffle was unexpectedly nice and chewy, not dry like other puff waffles I've tried previously. The boba was great. The boba are unevenly spread out of course, so it becomes a fun surprise when you get a puff filled with a lot of them. The waffle and the ice cream went well together. The employee was nice. He had about ten drinks to make after us, so the wait will vary. If you pay with a credit card then there's an extra fee, so I paid with cash. There's some metered street parking and some neighborhood spots, but it's one of the neighborhoods where a lot of spots are too small except for fiats fyi. I didn't try any of the milk tea, drinks, or spam musubi, but for the boba waffle alone it is worth the visit.
Needed a caffeine fix and kiddo wanted to try this place. Quite a long list of items to choose from, and glad they noted their best sellers. So, we decided on the Oolong Crema and Yin Yang Oolong. The crema comes with Oolong tea jelly and I added it to the Yin Yang drinks as well. For me, 25% sweetness was perfect - just enough sweetness. I really like grass jelly and never tried Oolong tea jelly, which I liked. Enjoyed the Yin Yang Oolong. Kiddo seemed to like the Oolong crema. Prices comparable to most other tea places. The egg puffs looked interesting, but when did they become so pricey?!?

Woohoo! New boba spot in the Sunset :-) We ordered the boba egg puff & the yuan yang coffee milk tea. We really wanted to try the salted egg puff but unfortunately they were sold out of that one. The boba egg puff was so delicious! It was cakey and sweet and the boba was so chewy!! Each bite also had boba in it. The yuan yang coffee milk tea was really good but pretty pricey at $7.50. It was sweet and creamy and I loved how they use the HK milk tea as a base for this drink. It tasted pretty authentic and not watered down at all! read more

Got the mango pomelo sago ($8.5) and in picture it looks really good, creamy and all. But sadly it tastes incredibly syrupy. The guy at the teller said it's made with real mango and it was a plain lie because all I taste is syrup. It was my first time coming here and I really want to come back but sadly the price I pay doesn't match the quality of drink I get. read more

Stopped by Milktopia since it was a new boba shop that opened up around my neighborhood! I recently tried their Lychee Yogurt Green Tea and it was amazing. The tea was perfectly brewed and the lychee flavor added a nice touch of sweetness. I also tried their Yin-Yang Oolong Caff and it was a great pick-me-up. The combination of oolong tea and coffee was just the right balance and it had a nice kick to it. The drink was smooth and had a rich flavor that was very caffeinated. Also got a free boba add on since I checked in. Only downside about this place was, only 1 person working so I waited about 20 minutes for my drink to be prepared. Still worth checking out! read more

I've been looking for a milk honey soft serve soft for a minute since the one on Irving had closed. This place is cute, small. And clean. And the desserts are made with love. I am boring and got the basic milk honey soft serve. It was really creamy, rich, and sweet. I think I would opt for the plain milk next time because the soft serve was incredibly delicious on its own. Will def be coming back. You should def visit this place! read more

I don't think I'll be coming back here. Unless my niece request to. Not because the drinks isn't delicious... It's just not a must. This shop use to be Supercue which my friends and I loved. Wanted to show my niece but too bad so sad. She'll never get to experience the joy of Supercue drinks. Inside it's really cute. Love the countered marble, love the polyester floral bouquet, love it's brighter. What I don't love is the music. It's super loud for such a small space. Turn it down 4 notches. The girl didn't and couldn't hear my order. It's loud HIPHOP music. Lots of B's and N words thrown around in an Asian boba spot, not really my scene, nor does it match the boba shops vibe. Not sure where it's trying to meet ... I know lots of you 'cool influencers' are thinking like- 'but it's like that in LA' Girl this ain't LA and this ain't no trend. The girl didn't speak English well enough for me to understand or I didn't speak English well enough for her to understand..??? Because she kept making mistakes on my order. I first ordered for my niece, easy. One Jasmine milk tea with lychee boba. Done. My order next, I wanted a Peach Lemon Burst & Salted yolk egg puff. She referred to the menu on the counter many times before showing me my order. I saw on the screen she tapped down Lemon Burst, I corrected her, she told me she doesn't have peach. So .... Did you not hear me say peach or you assume I'm okay with just lemon burst and not tell me ..?? I then told her- I'll have the mango lemon burst instead. Which she added but not delete the regular lemon burst. I had to tell her I don't want the lemon burst, only the mango. And she seemed confused, and kept pointing to the menu taped on the counter. Again, I told her mango lemon burst. Okay done. Nope not done. Because my egg puff was the regular egg puff. Had to tell her I wanted the salted yolk egg puff. AGAIN! She referred to the menu on the counter! I don't know if she's the owner or FT worker or new or PT, or just filling in or what but .. that was horrible ... The drinks itself was really delicious, extremely flavorful, refreshing, nice and cold! Even tho it was cold that day, it tasted fantastic. The egg puff was soft and crispy edges. I wish there was more salted yolk spread in there but it was good enough. But that whole ordeal was just so complicated!!! With the time taken to complete my order, she could have finished 5 drink orders. read more

The milk tea is fresh with strong tea flavor, not bitter. The boba is amazing. The mango drink is great, but a little bit too sweet. They can't adjust the sugar level on their special drink. It's a bit pricy for drink to cost $7-$8+, but comparing to surrounding market, it is reasonable. Street parking with meter. read more
This heat wave in the San Francisco Bay Area has got me getting milk tea and boba tea everyday. I was searching for a refreshing drink and MilkTopia was there for the rescue. This is a good place to get milk boba on Taraval in San Franciscoand it's yummy. I will be circling back to this place again. read more

Milktopia is located where Super Cue used to be. It's been renovated, and it looks much cuter than previously. The workers here are super kind and helpful! The menu is limited drink-wise, but they also offer ice cream and egg puffs. Food/Drink: - Original Egg Puffs (8.5/10): The taste was delicious, but it was dense instead of soft and fluffy. I wanted to try the salted egg flavor, but they sold out. - HK Silky Milk Tea (7/10): For the price that it was, I had high expectations. It was aromatic and sweet but did not taste as good as a $3 Hong Kong style-milk tea. - Oolong Tea (8/10): Your typical oolong tea. It was a bit overly sweet (even with less sugar), but you can taste the tea; it's not watered down, and they actually gave me less ice when I asked for it! The drink also came with jelly that wasn't listed in the description, but it was a great addition and probably my favorite part of the drink. The boba in both drinks was soft and chewy! read more
Stopped by on a Saturday found parking on the same street. Was greeted immediately by friendly staff. They mentioned they also had the bubble waffle available as we were browsing the menu. Ordered Milk & Honey soft serve ice cream Lemon Burst black tea Yin-Yang oolong caffe When paying there's a small sign below the payment system that there's a 4% credit card surcharge fee. Got the ice cream first, husband and I devoured it in less than 5 mins. Good flavor, I love honey on desserts. I liked my Lemon Burst black tea reminded me a little bit like how I get my lemon tea in SF Chinatown when I was younger. Husband got the Yin-Yang oolong caffe and it had strong tea flavor. Decided to try Milktopia and saw that they replaced Super Cue. Very pricey but thought the drinks were good. I had the HK Milk Tea with boba and I really enjoyed it. The downside was that the cup was filled so high up with ice ): way too much ice hence the 4 stars. Other than that I would come back! read more

So excited for this place to finally open! My boyfriend has been looking forward to the lemon-burst black tea for a longgg time, and they did not disappoint! Very refreshing and close to the lemon black teas at Hong Kong cafes. Even 100% is not too sweet as they use a LOT of real lemon. YUM! I got the Mango Lemon-Burst green tea since I like drinks on the lighter side. Fresh mango with great lemon flavor! I would recommend 70% sweetness or higher as this drink does have a lot of lemon, so any lower could be on sour side. (For reference I usually drink 25% sugar on most milk tea locations) All in all, great new addition to the neighborhood! read more

Boba was okay. The crema was nice and thick but was a little too sweet for me. I wish there was an option to choose the % of sweetness. The oolong wasn't as dark and bitter as i'd like. Service was good. Decently quick. They do charge extra for credit cards so bring cash. Limited menu for boba. I didn't see many food options either. read more

I needed some black tea to clear my head and this newly opened bubble tea and dessert shop was on the same street as Rolling Out Cafe and only 2 minutes away. Coming up on the store, I realized that I had been to this location before when it was something else. I had originally wanted to order the Oolong Crema and HK Silky Classic Milk Tea, but rethought my order when I read that there was oolong jelly in the Oolong Crema. I like my teas without toppings. I replaced it with Crema De Mango. I also treated my sister to a Paradise Island Fruit Tea. The made drinks looked inviting. It wasn't until I looked at the receipt, when I got back to the residence that I was staying at, did I see the credit fee charge. Other places have a sign to inform customers of a credit card fee. The HK Silky Classic Milk Tea had a strong taste to it. The mangos were fresh in the Crema De Mango. The Paradise Island was a good fruit tea. Sister and I noticed that they also offer soft serve ice cream: The Classic Milky being all natural milk ice cream from CA farms and the Milk & Honey topped with local Bay Area natural wild flower honey. We will have to come back and try when we want a soft serve ice cream dessert. read more

It's funny how the universe looks out for you when you say you want boba I drove past this place and saw that they just took over where Super Cue used to be and I had to stop and give it a try. It was a really nice surprise that the owners were the ones actually making the drinks and sharing how happy they were to be in the neighborhood. I ordered the Crema de Mango with Lychee Jelly and it def satisfied my fix. They are going to have soft serve soon and other treats so def will be back. They take Apple Pay read more

Update from my last review which yes it is a bit pricy place and their drinks are limited but it's so worth it. Love their HK milk tea and if you need more caffeine than get their specialty with coffee and tea. It's limited menu which I don't mind because they specialize in it. Simple and good. Yes it's a bit pricy but great to satisfying your craving. You won't be disappointed. Anyway, I updated because of my last review. They do offer you bags! They didn't offer it the first time I was there so it was a little disappointing especially I had already a full hand. but since I've been coming back the guy made picking up multiple drinks easy with a cute bag made especially for your drinks. It's pretty well seal too which is a plus. Overall totally recommend this place. read more

Scrolled through yelp and decided to give this place a try because I love Oreo + Crème Brûlée ( and they have 2 for 1 ) FOOD : 4/5 1. Oreo Brûlée Drink - it's pretty good but it would be better with the burnt sugar on top like an actual creme brûlée !! 2. Mango Lemon Burst- very fruity drink & refreshing 3. Boba filled egg puff - the egg puff was good but I didn't like the soggy and hot boba inside ( cool concept tho! ) SERVICE: 10/5 Service is what bought the 4 stars to 5 stars. They are incredibly patient with you and very sweet. Got the Oreo Milk Tea as it looked mouth watering. It did not disappoint. The owner Gordon is very hospitable. I want to try their egg puff next. Definitely a winner. Can't wait for my next visit. read more

First time here! I ordered 2 House Milk Teas (thanks to Ubereats for the BOGO) and they were okay! I'd say the boba itself was more on the softer side! The drink was definitely average - 70% sugar and less ice - after first sip but after a few mixes i'd say it was 4/5. I'd come back for the deal and if I'm around the area! read more

I think this is a pretty new boba shop. They have a wide range of drinks, soft serves and snacks. I ordered the yin Yang oolong with boba (boba was free with check in). I ordered the yin Yang oolong (T8) drink which I almost paid $10 (7.50 for the drink + tip + tax + card fee). I'm not sure if there was a sign or anything but I wish they told us there was a card fee or I would have just paid with cash. It wasn't much but just a little inconvenient and if I'm already paying for a pricey drink. My friend order the jasmine crema which I was actually a fan of. I would like to come again to try their spam musubi since they have a a salty egg version and I haven't seen that before. The location is a bit small and I think there was a small area to sit and wait but it was a bit crowded so waited outside for our drinks. I would like to give this a 3.5 stars but 3 will have to do it. This is located on Taraval so the parking was a bit difficult and had to find it in the residential area. read more
