Stopped by Milktopia since it was a new boba shop that opened up around my neighborhood! I recently tried their Lychee Yogurt Green Tea and it was amazing. The tea was perfectly brewed and the lychee flavor added a nice touch of sweetness. I also tried their Yin-Yang Oolong Caff and it was a great pick-me-up. The combination of oolong tea and coffee was just the right balance and it had a nice kick to it. The drink was smooth and had a rich flavor that was very caffeinated. Also got a free boba add on since I checked in. Only downside about this place was, only 1 person working so I waited about 20 minutes for my drink to be prepared. Since coming to San Francisco I haven't been able to get enough tea! Wow, it is everywhere and I am loving it! I have had the Taro Milk tea with Boba multiple times and it is perfection. I've been looking for a milk honey soft serve soft for a minute since the one on Irving had closed. This place is cute, small. And clean. And the desserts are made with love. I am boring and got the basic milk honey soft serve. It was really creamy, rich, and sweet. In need of an afternoon pick-me-up, I stopped by at this place and ordered the signature lemon burst with green tea and boba pearls. The tea was delicious, and the pearls were sweet and chewy. She referred to the menu on the counter! I don't know if she's the owner or FT worker or new or PT, or just filling in or what but .. that was horrible ... The drinks itself was really delicious, extremely flavorful, refreshing, nice and cold! Even tho it was cold that day, it tasted fantastic. The egg puff was soft and crispy edges. I wish there was more salted yolk spread in there but it was good enough. But that whole ordeal was just so complicated!!! They don't have many drink options which is interesting given they are branded as a milk tea/boba shop but I think it's natural for when a shop just opens. Milktopia is located where Super Cue used to be. It's been renovated, and it looks much cuter than previously. The workers here are super kind and helpful! The menu is limited drink-wise, but they also offer ice cream and egg puffs. Food/Drink: - Original Egg Puffs (8.5/10): The taste was delicious, but it was dense instead of soft and fluffy. I wanted to try the salted egg flavor, but they sold out. - HK Silky Milk Tea (7/10): For the price that it was, I had high expectations. It was aromatic and sweet but did not taste as good as a $3 Hong Kong style-milk tea. - Oolong Tea (8/10): Your typical oolong tea. It was a bit overly sweet (even with less sugar), but you can taste the tea; it's not watered down, and they actually gave me less ice when I asked for it! Small shop and one kiosk to order. The kiosk can be finicky and realized after placing a drink in your cart you can't edit it anymore. Seems to have lots of drink varieties and the options when you order your specific drink is lengthy, for example, I wanted to order a Thai milk tea with boba but the first option was selection "no" to certain things like "no honey boba", "no lemon" etc. Because of that I thought it had come with boba. After realizing I could add boba (after customizing another drink) I wanted to edit the drink in the cart, but you can't. Also for this Thai milk tea drink, I could not alter the sugar level. Yes it's a bit pricy but great to satisfying your craving. You won't be disappointed. Anyway, I updated because of my last review. They do offer you bags! They didn't offer it the first time I was there so it was a little disappointing especially I had already a full hand. but since I've been coming back the guy made picking up multiple drinks easy with a cute bag made especially for your drinks. So excited for this place to finally open! My boyfriend has been looking forward to the lemon-burst black tea for a longgg time, and they did not disappoint! Very refreshing and close to the lemon black teas at Hong Kong cafes. Even 100% is not too sweet as they use a LOT of real lemon. YUM! I got the Mango Lemon-Burst green tea since I like drinks on the lighter side. Fresh mango with great lemon flavor! I would recommend 70% sweetness or higher as this drink does have a lot of lemon, so any lower could be on sour side. I needed some black tea to clear my head and this newly opened bubble tea and dessert shop was on the same street as Rolling Out Cafe and only 2 minutes away. Coming up on the store, I realized that I had been to this location before when it was something else. I had originally wanted to order the Oolong Crema and HK Silky Classic Milk Tea, but rethought my order when I read that there was oolong jelly in the Oolong Crema. I like my teas without toppings. I replaced it with Crema De Mango. I also treated my sister to a Paradise Island Fruit Tea. The made drinks looked inviting. It wasn't until I looked at the receipt, when I got back to the residence that I was staying at, did I see the credit fee charge. Other places have a sign to inform customers of a credit card fee. The HK Silky Classic Milk Tea had a strong taste to it. The mangos were fresh in the Crema De Mango. The Paradise Island was a good fruit tea. Sister and I noticed that they also offer soft serve ice cream: The Classic Milky being all natural milk ice cream from CA farms and the Milk & Honey topped with local Bay Area natural wild flower honey. The strawberry shake is made with some strawberry powder and milk, not real strawberries or a puree. Tastes super artificial. For the $7+ price tag, I would've expected real fruit ingredients. Overall, pretty disappointed with the quality of drinks/snacks we got. Happy I didn't spend more money on getting anything else. Probably would've been disappointed with it too. They have so many different items on the menu from different beverages/boba drinks to egg puff waffles to soft serve ice cream. I tried their Jasmine Green Tea Creama with boba and Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba. The creama in the green tea creama was tasty, it made the drink more creamy and overpowered it with barely any tea taste, this drink was a tad on the sweeter side. I think this is a pretty new boba shop. They have a wide range of drinks, soft serves and snacks. I ordered the yin Yang oolong with boba (boba was free with check in). I ordered the yin Yang oolong (T8) drink which I almost paid $10 (7.50 for the drink + tip + tax + card fee). I'm not sure if there was a sign or anything but I wish they told us there was a card fee or I would have just paid with cash. It wasn't much but just a little inconvenient and if I'm already paying for a pricey drink. My friend order the jasmine crema which I was actually a fan of. I would like to come again to try their spam musubi since they have a a salty egg version and I haven't seen that before. The location is a bit small and I think there was a small area to sit and wait but it was a bit crowded so waited outside for our drinks. Honesty wasn't expecting to make a review for this place, but I found that this place is actually really good. Service is always great, feels very homey. Food, I tried the spam musubi on a whim and found that it's the best spam musubi I've ever tried??? I was confused at first too, but this place has really good spam musubi. The key to it being so good is their rice, they definitely do some magic with their rice. Drinks, I've tried a few and have never been disappointed. Only thing I can think of that wasn't good about this place is that they were out of the drink I wanted to try the first time I came here, but definitely not worth knocking off a star from this place. I really wanted to like Milktopia, but unfortunately with such stiff boba/tea competition in the Bay Area, I'll likely be going elsewhere to get my drink craving satisfied. I showed up here on a Saturday afternoon with maybe 1 or 2 people ahead of me. I ordered the Lemon Burst Green tea, which was really just lemon juice + green tea. This drink was almost $7 after tax, and it took them close to 15 minute to make the drink.
