This is my personal favorite teriyaki restaurant around! I think the portion size to price to quality ratio seems to be the best I have found so far in South Seattle. It's also a really convenient location, but it's tucked away so you have to know it's there. Its ambiance is very unassuming, but it's always busy. The guy working here is amazing and helpful and always the same person. I usually go for the short ribs and they are really tasty. Marinated instead of just conveyed in teriyaki sauce. The lunch special on weekdays (usually chicken and gyoza) is the best deal though. It's really good. My friend got my coming here and now it's my go to spot! read more

Average teriyaki, but the price was decent, the setting basic, and the place very clean. Portions are generous, and the service prompt. read more

Great service and taste, food is consistently good every time. Always hot and fresh. Clean establishment and friendly staff.

work near by, quick stop for dinner on way. fast and friendly, very tasty. Usually order terriyaki chicken, but all taste great. Clean environment read more

Solid 3.5 for today I finally decided to venture out and try something different. I would say the chicken teriyaki is 5/5, today I tried the sweet and sour chicken... it's more on the sour side, not sweet, and really dry and hard to chew. I think next time I come back I'll order the chicken teriyaki again. The chicken teriyaki is always tender and flavorful. read more

I loved this place! Though after not being able to order my favorites through any delivery service I called the restaurant to inquire. The person told me they only offer some things online now. You have to be in restaurant for most things. I then ordered and went to pick up my order in person. While there, the worker informed me they no longer send the side salad along with online orders either. Bad decision! Will not be ordering again unless I happen to be driving by. Which doesn't happen often. read more

The food gets 4 stars and the fifth star is their friendliness. I go at least once a week it seems

Ordered through PostMates earlier today and we can start off by saying we were satisfied with the amount of food as it was enough to feed the family! The tofu teriyaki was hands down the favorite! So yummy and fried to deliciousness. The General Tsao's was pretty up there too with the crispness of the meat and the flavor, however we were a little disappointed it didn't come with peppers but that wasn't a deal breaker! The teriyaki beef was melt in your mouth soft, and the katsu was okay. Being completely honest, it was nothing impressive. Their salad dressing is the bomb though! With the speediness of how everything got done and how fresh and hot everything was when delivered, there's really no big complaints! The pricing was extremely fair for the amount we got, and we appreciated the discounted package of multiple dishes with a side of 8 gyoza! read more

Being fresh out of college, I'm always looking for a bang for my buck. Let me just say I've found it with this place! I ordered fried rice for $11, thinking I was splurging. Little did I know I'd have enough fried rice to pass on to my children. Not only was the portion massive but the flavor was amazing. Every bit of food had its own flavor and all together it was a symphony. The chicken was cooked to perfection! The food was ready in 10 mins, the staff was so sweet, and the environment was so cute and comfortable!!! read more

Last time I was here, it was before I developed a palate, one that is of a food critic! This time, I'm laying the hammer down after what I have tasted. The lunch special combo of Chicken Teriyaki and Gyoza was not good. The chicken was grilled perfectly, but the teriyaki sauce was way too salty! Teriyaki is supposed to be sweet, not Morton-like! I think I'm going to call them Mortonyaki. It was a plus when they have their salad dressing on the table with the condiments, so that I can squeeze the sauce into the meal, as the dressing has some sweet goodness to it. The salad had no flavor; it didn't matter if I squeezed anymore salad dressing into it, the salad just eats up the flavor. The gyoza was good and crispy. Rice was hard and because of that difficult to swallow. Oh yeah, the coke was good. Didn't do the restroom drill, so don't know if it is clean though. Place that I can say bye-bye! read more

I love this place so much and will never order teriyaki from anywhere else. We have never dined in before so I can't speak to that, only ordering. By far the best part is amazing prices for so much food I hope it never changes. The chicken is our favorite always great meat with no gross bits and is a yummy char with a great sauce. Also it is accompanied by rice and a small salad. Love this place will always reccomend. Also bonus points for how nicely they have the resteraunt set up for take out during covid. read more

Mikou Teriyaki - Chicken teriyaki and I have already eaten some of it... - Japanese Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Wow! I must say, this place has very quick service despite the busy lunch hour rush. Came in today with a coworker for the first time and already at 11am, the line was almost out the door. Ordered a katsu and chicken teriyaki combo and it was tasty! :) My order was ready in less than ten minutes, hot and fresh. The katsu had a nice crunch to it, without it being too oily from being deep fried and the sauce was quite savory. I'm happy to say that my chicken teriyaki wasn't drenched in the sauce like other places and it was seasoned pretty well. This place gives you a lot of rice too! Also, for the salad side, you have the option of adding the dressing on your own. So don't freak out if you see the naked salad without it's usual sweet like dressing. :) Despite the huge line, the place looks like it always has a few empty seats for dining in. The employees definitely work hard to clean the tables as quickly as they can. Parking may be a bit difficult but this place is well worth the effort for the quick service and food that they provide. Definitely coming back to try out other dishes. read more

Terrible food. The veggies are from a frozen bag of chopped carrots and peas. The worst teriyaki I have ever had.

With I Love Teriyaki right across the street, one wonders if there's enough business for two? The answer is yes, if both are good enough, and Mikou Teriyaki is definitely good enough. THE GOOD: The teriyaki is good (I had a chicken/pork spicy combo). Not spectacular, but definitely better than your average teriyaki joint. Pleasant dining space, and they are Indy pit crew fast when it comes to getting your order out (a real plus when you're on a tight schedule!). Large menu with a lot of good-looking items, I'll definitely be back. Good portion sizes and good value for money. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT?: Nothing I can see. For what it is, MT is A-OK. THE VERDICT: A solid, blue-chip performer, Mikou Teriyaki will not disappoint, with teriyaki that is as good as any, and better than most. The blisteringly fast service will be handy for diners in a hurry. I say check them out! read more

Ordered delivery from here this week. We got Teriyaki Chicken Breast, Katsu Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. The Katsu was the best part but it was dry. The teriyaki had a bad texture, almost like ham. That's the same chicken in the rice and I picked it all out. The fried rice was very peppery but didn't taste like anything else. They gave a ton of everything though. Not sure I'd recommend or go back. read more

Been going here for lunch for years, but lately the portion size have been getting smaller prices going up and food is getting saltier

The sweet and sour chicken here is SO bomb. A friend had this for lunch and it smelt so good we had to try it. Would def recommend this dish in particular. Maybe the restaurant is alright but honestly some people on here be yelling like they're a culinary 5star chef just cause they got a yelp account.. chill... read more

Seriously solid lunchtime teriyaki. Because time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so, if you're in a rush, go for the special of the day. It's not only fast, but cheap and delicious as always. I often get it with steamed vegetables on the side, however. Rookie move, lunchtime rusher. That adds time, with that roughage. #worthit Haven't tried other menu items, one of the days I'll eat lunch leisurely, but today is not that time. read more

Tried BBQ pork fried rice here today, kinda impressed by a $11 meal plus steamed rice served which can fill my stomach for 2 full meals. Food quality was better than I luv Teriyaki across the street. But it would be better have complimentary salads along with the dish. read more

Fair teriyaki for me. Chicken was on the dry side for me and a little more teriyaki sauce might help. Beef short ribs has too much fat not enough lean meat, which means a cheap quality meat to me. The flavor was all right though. I also tried their pork Yakiudon and this was my favorite of the 3. The flavor was right and udon was chewy not too soggy. I like their veggies portion in my udon.. read more

Went there for lunch and ordered the Mongolian Chicken dish. While it doesn't taste horrible, it is no where near what Mongolian Chicken should taste like. I would not recommend this dish if you are a true Mongolian Chicken or Beef lover as it's missing the green onions and more importantly, the smoky flavor. It also shouldn't have cabbage in it which I assume is used as a filler. read more

I have been a regular here for quite some time. Going on 3 years. But I think that is coming to an end. The place was recently (in the last half year) purchased by someone else. It went downhill quick! I get the same order every time, but somehow the total is different every time. Today I actually paid attention to what they were ringing up, and the price on the menu is lower than what the register rings. I went from my normal order being around $11 to paying $16 for the same thing. Quality has not improved, quantity has not improved, the only thing that changed is that the prices are higher and the service sucks. There is one girl that always quite nice, but the 2 or 3 new ladies that seem to run the place are very rude and annoying. I have stopped calling orders in because they have not gotten the order right once. read more

I saw good rating and stopped by, picked up food for both me and my friend. Location: SODO/Georgetown, there's parking in front of the restaurant. That's totally great! It's easy to spot because it's right next to US Bank. Parking lot is PACKED, I guess, because this teriyaki place shares a parking lot with pho place next door. Decor: It's a bit run-down and dark inside. But, when I was there picking up food, this place was PACKED. There's a shared bathroom with the pho place next door. Food: I bought "today's special." It was spicy chicken and katsu pork. I switched my rice to brown rice. It cost $1 extra which is fine. Both specials come with salad. When you get salad to go, it just didn't taste as fresh. I didn't try the katsu pork I ordered for my friend, but it didn't look very appetizing. I feel my spicy chicken didn't taste as good as customers recommended. It tasted like katchup to me unfortunately. :-( Service: 5 Stars to the service. I was able to get in and out with my food in 5 minutes (Parked, ordered, paid, used the bathroom, and picked up the food) The owner/cashier lady was very friendly. Perhaps, it was a bad day. I'd like to give something else soon in the future. read more

I alternate between Mikou and I luv Teriyaki (right accross the street) for my lunch teriyaki fix, but I do end up at I luv Teriyaki more often, even though Mikou has better quality and tasting food. Why? Because of their efficiency. With I luv Teriyaki, I can drive the 5 blocks there and pick up my food with only the line to the cashier as my wait time. Every time I've ordered with Mikou, even if I wait 10 minutes before heading there, I still end up waiting 10-15min there after paying to pick up my order. The food is better, their teriyaki chicken isn't as dry as I luv Teriyaki and the salad is better, but during the work day, time is money, and currently I would only go to Mikou if I'm not in a hurry. read more
