Second time around with Mike's Donuts and this time, we did a few things differently: My husband picked up a dozen on the morning of Christmas Eve for our kids and he came back with the BEST donuts! The key is to go in the morning to get the softest, freshest selections. This is my go to place for donuts. This family owned and operated business is amazing. They always have a nice variety of donuts and even offer seasonal donuts. The donuts are always fresh. The place is always clean and it use to be set up with table and chairs, but not anymore since Covid. They have plenty of staff so ordering is quick and easy. I was having a bbq for Labor Day weekend and in Brooklyn so stopped by since I heard so much about this place. Very nice people running the place but nothing special that others see. The donuts while fresh weren't anything spectacular. The jelly donut I ate took me halfway through to get to the jelly. And not cheap at all as they are small and $17.50 a dozen. The owner of the store has ignored more than six phone calls. I ordered boxes of donuts to be given as gifts and they were delivered harder than rocks.. I couldn't reach someone after they were delivered at 5 PM so I left more than six messages.. It's hard to find a good French curler these days since it not popular. I'm also a chocolate fan so when I saw they had a chocolate French curler you know it was a must have.
