I had a fun night after watching the Nets, and this spot is within walking distance. If you use the Doughnut Plant app, they're running a promotion where first-time users pay just 75 cents for a $5 donut. I came in pretty late after the game and ordered the jelly doughnut and the peanut butter & jelly donut. I was a bit disappointed -- it mostly tasted like fried bread with regular jelly. Honestly, it reminded me of something I could've made at home with crunchy peanut butter and sourdough bread. I wish I had gone for something more adventurous. Maybe I'll come back and try another flavor, but this time it felt like I paid for a basic donut. The service was nice and the donut came out fast. The atmosphere is interesting; it has a vibe that feels lightly inspired by Indian café culture without stating it outright. They promote a lot of chai lattes and have Indian-inscribed words on the signage, but overall it's a modern-style café.

Went to try the tiramisu donut !! The cream on top was delicious but donut itself wasn't that great.. I loved fluffy n soft donuts and this donut wasn't fluffy

Hands down my favorite gluten free donuts in NYC. They usually always have the almond donut and then one or two other seasonal options. All of them have been delicious. I also purchased the holiday box for my family because I thought they were so cute and they said they were so yummy. The cashier was friendly when I asked her how best to store them. I never have to wait long there. The location itself is not that small but good enough to grab something quick. I'm sure I'll be back again....and again :)

I highly recommend visiting Doughnut Plant as early as you can, because the most popular flavors will sell out fast! I had to visit after a coworker brought them into the office; I was immediately over the moon for how incredible they were. I walked in and got two doughnuts, and found them to be exceptionally light, fluffy, and truly delicious. The shop is pretty small, but it does offer a few seating options with cool tile tables. They are famous for their square filled doughnuts, which were apparently one of the first of their kind in the country. The only surprise came at checkout: each doughnut runs about five to six dollars, making them quite pricey. While the quality is outstanding and worth an occasional splurge, the high cost is definitely something to be aware of.

Delicious donuts and so glad they have at least a few vegan flavors. The sourdough provides a different texture than typical yeast donuts and they're very good. Also very good cold brew.

Passed by Doughnut Plant on a rainy Monday, so I decided to stop in to grab a creme brulee doughnut. I've only had it once before from the Chinatown location, and it's been on my mind since. My husband got the vanilla bean doughnut, and we both didn't waste time to eat our doughnuts despite just having a full meal beforehand. We were hoping they would be warm but they weren't. The creme brulee doughnut shell wasn't as crispy as creme brulee should be. The flavors for both were fine, not too sweet, but also not very flavorful? It was a bit of a mediocre experience, but the worker was nice and I liked the expansiveness of the interior. I won't write off Doughnut Plant

I was really excited to revisit Donut Plant after not visiting for a few years. The donuts looked fantastic and tasted even better. You can tell a lot of care goes into their creations. The flavors were rich, fresh, and def lived up to the hype. Unfortunately, the experience was brought down by the service. The cashier had a standoffish demeanor, barely spoke, and made it feel like we were bothering her just by asking questions. She slammed the bag of donuts on the counter without a word, and overall came across as cold, blah and unprofessional. It definitely took away from what could have been a great visit/ reintroduction to this place. So honestly, Great products but customer service matters just as much. I hope management takes note, because the donuts deserve better representation at the front counter. Idk maybe She was having a bad day...

On the way home Saturday, I thought I'd stop by after a Garden Party on Bergen. It had been a while since I went to this location on Flatbush. Great shape of the shop, utilising the flatiron-esque style building. They were out of my favorite crème broule but they had the tres leches and I also got the dark chocolate sourdoughnut and the strawberry shortcake. Service was quick and friendly. I already had two of the doughnuts which were delicious!

I ordered these to go! My favorite was tres leches. The barista recommended the Brooklyn Chocolate doughnut . I was on work calls all days and decided to order a treat. The perfect amount of sugar to get me through the day and one for tomorrow am! Their location is cute. Nice for a bite and keeping it moving. It is in a busy location so not ideal for business calls but at the right time as long as you are not on camera it could work. Always greeted with a smile day or night how could you go wrong!

Let me start off by saying.... I hate donuts. I don't like pastries or anything super sweet. Now with that being said, I've past by this spot for YEARS. I never had any interest in trying it out for the reasons I stated prior. Having a recent conversation with my friend about desserts, I decided to give it a try. I'm always willing to try anything once. I'm so glad I did. One bite of that TRES LECHES donut and I'm a believer. This is NOT your ORDINARY donut. It's the cream or custard of the donut that is nothing short of amazing. I decided to get a Matcha Latte with oat milk because Matcha. It was absolutely great. I didn't need to add any sugar. It wasn't too sweet or bitter. I throughly enjoyed the experience. Now I'm still not a donut person but I am a Tres Leches donut from Doughnut Planet Stan. It definitely made a believer out of me.

The Boston cream had a rich, smooth filling with the perfect chocolate glaze, and the strawberry sprinkles donut was perfectly sweet and nostalgic. What makes this place special is that it's both affordable and consistently delicious! They have all the classic flavors but also some specialty donuts if you want to try something different. The old-school ambiance gives it a real Brooklyn charm, and it feels like stepping back in time. Just remember to bring cash because it's cash only; but it's absolutely worth it.

They were young, energetic, and a hard working bunch, Eastern European sounding . They are fierce in their added charges at the register- the likes of which I have never seen in the coffee shop/ donut world. First & Last visit. Too mich of a culture clash. How I was treated here would not fly or last One minute in North Shore Nassau -.But here in Brooklyn this is a bustling coffee & donut shop with all seats taken and a line for take out. Donuts & coffee both good - Good. Experience a no go. They were pre- occupied with added fees. it's all they mentioned with each donut picked. It went like this - "A dozen doughnuts please" and I began pointing at quite regular looking donuts (all in the same rows) or so I thought. " thats a dollar extra" ( boston creme) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( coconut creme) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( boston creme stick) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( french cruller white icing hm ok " thats a dollar extra" (french cruller chocolate icing) hm ok " Two small coffees also please " HM are those the small?? I kid you not they were TINY kid sized The cup size I have never seen before. They must special order them for samples or something. Ok so "They are wayyy too tiny so - medium please" Out came the typical small sized cup - Hmm so ok. Let's ring and go I'm thinking. Next the woman is struggling with a paper by the register trying to figure out the coat of this dozen donuts (plus five with her added $1's) - then more struggle and I said " it's a dozen plus $5" thats $29.50". "Oh no you don't have a dozen". Apparently the extra $5 disqualified my "dozen". I know what you're thinking but No- no special donuts from some other case - no coffee rolls etc - i'm a NY'er and know a donut from a special roll etc. You need to buy five more for a dozen. "Oh? No, I have a dozen and am paying you five up charges as you stated." Next thing she is ringing the donuts individually Plus the extra $5 Which makes NO sense. But gets her another added $5 or so. Why would they keep quoting me add ons to my dozen if no dozen existed once you added a Boston creme etc. She raced to the manager. The Brooklynites thought ne a mean old lady for saying you're overcharging me'. The manager flew over - a young man huffy and emphatic that the five very ordinary donuts that were $5 more converted my dozen to a different price per donut. Then they said something funny to me - "would you like me to take those out and give you regular donuts?". No. (See update for more) " No those are the ones I want " but you just over charged me - I'll take them. But you are overcharging me. Thank you. Holy mackerel - just glad to be on the way out WITH the donuts of course- I was not furious or anything- and the donuts were never at risk- I'd not walk out on the donuts - My advice is to be more transparent in pricing and not deem very basic donuts special donuts - making your customers feel ripped off.- Better just to charge more for the dozen. And.. like other shops put any supposed special donuts in a special donut area - like coffee rolls, big fritters etc. That's how it's Typically done. This is New York! You can't pull that here. This is a place where people pay $6 for a good cookie. They are not cheap. Don't be weird at the register. And those cups Come on - are you KIDding me - pun intended. I left holding on to my wallet a lot tighter. And that is not NYstyle. I felt like some war was on and was ready to start stacking change. I'm also half Italian! So for me - This was one weird cheapskate experience. So that's my review. --------------------Update - Follow up to reply ------------------------------- Hi Demetrios, Thank you for replying. I generally stay positive on reviews. Like I said it was the aggressive way I was treated that was the no go for me. What I left out of the review was worse! For instance - your counter person began reaching to open the box saying she was taking out donuts to replace them with others. She grabbed the box and actually began getting ready to fling donuts around. It was totally weird. Had she actually not stopped trying to untie when asked I would have not taken them. It weirded me out. You say you keep the business the same since 1993? Well where is the Jelly Stick? A New Yok classic. So much for keeping it the same. Its on the sign over the counter and you don't make them any more .. so It is Not the same as it once was. Got ya! jk. And no.. no no.. I am Never mean or rude... just willing to say something. Ok so the coffee.. if its really $1 I get it.. its a nice gesture to your customers... they had something like that in Montauk.. a tiny beer for $1 at a place called Liar's Saloon. So ok.... right on you. Update /3
