From a donut connoisseur / donut freak these donuts are top 5 for sure. The shop is super cool and they offer coffee drinks too. Check out the donuts I ordered. 6 outrageous flavors from triple chocolate, chocolate drizzle PBJ, French toast, lavender. The donut is perfectly yeasty and delicious then the toppings hit your palette and you ate in heaven. This is a must stop for the donut lovers

Honestly one of the best donuts I've ever had. Initially I was skeptical trying out this spot because I never truly had a good vegan donut. All the vegan donuts in the past were alright. But this place had some amazing donuts with intricate flavors. So far i've tried the blueberry, mango lassi, pistachio, glazed, chocolate sprinkle, passionfruit plum, apple pie, Boston cream, & chocolate peanut crunch. Not a single donut has disappointed! It's soft and fluffy!

Super cute donut shop with a cozy vintage atmosphere. Flavors are creative but very palatable. I'm usually an old-fashioned girl but these cake donuts were fluffy and the frosting was not too heavy. There can be a line on weekends, but the employees move fast. I didn't try a latte but they have so many fun flavored syrups!

All I have to say is AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! I'm so sad I haven't been able to taste ALL of them. lol. Keep up the good work. I don't mind paying a little extra for quality and good service. Plus, the store is super cute.

I had just finished having lunch with a friend in the area and wanted something sweet as always, lol. I checked Yelp to see what was close by and saw this spot was bookmarked to try. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and felt welcomed. The place smelled amazing, and I knew great things were happening based on the scent alone. The young man in my pics helped me, and he was a sweetheart. He was very patient as I figured out what I wanted to purchase. Based on the great reviews, I was confident that whatever I chose would be good, and it was. They have a variety of donuts, teas, and cofees, just to name a few. I glanced at some of the donuts that weren't available and asked if they had any more in the back, and they didn't. I'll have to return to try those popular ones that run out quickly. I opted for my favorite, chocolate, and the blueberry. I also had a cup of my favorite tea-jasmine. (thank you). Baby, I ate my chocolate donut with tea on the ride home, and it was heaven. That donut was delicious and hit that sweet spot just right. lol. I enjoyed the blueberry one the next day, and it was good, but my favorite was the chocolate . I definitely plan on returning to check out some other cool flavors and look forward to having the outstanding customer service I received on my first visit. .

I've loved Dun-well Doughnuts for years, and for awhile they had an outpost on St. Mark's Place--just a few blocks from me. Sadly, they closed that spot, which can't seem to hold a tenant for too long. They're the best doughnuts around, so on this cold day I took the L train out to the 'Schwick to get a few. They're vegan, with flavors like triple chocolate and PB&J, and in the winter you need comfort food. Brooklyn Roasting coffee is the perfect match--heaven is only a few subway stops away. (BTW, I prefer these to Cloudy Donuts--I even trekked out to Cloudy's Brooklyn Heights store before I realized there was a Nolita outpost.)

My friend is strictly vegan and he introduced me to this lovely doughnut shop a few days ago. While I had my reservations, I tried one and was immediately hooked. We decided to go today for some doughnuts and purchased 1/2 dozen each. My daughter loves chocolate so I chose 2 chocolate and a cinnamon sugar for her, a strawberry glaze w/sprinkles, 1 blueberry and 1 raspberry filled. Let me tell you, these doughnuts will melt in your mouth and the flavors are exactly what you hoped for. They are so fluffy and deliciously fresh. The shop itself is so quaint and very welcoming. The staff is friendly and allows you to take your time to decide what flavors you want. They also have a variety of coffee options. If you're looking for a sweet treat, I highly encourage you to stop by and grab a few doughnuts. Enjoy!

I've heard NOTHING, but good things about this place...and once I'd learned that it's fully vegan with a purposeful mission towards non-animal ingredients, I HAD TO MAKE A VISIT! I ordered the pistachio and apple cheesecake donut to-go and everything was delicious!!!!! For those that live near this establishment, you guys are lucky because if I did, i'll be visiting just about everyday. FYI, they have a rotating menu, so please check out their instagram daily.

I have bookmarked this place many years ago & finally ended up here by accident. We were walking from winson's bakery and ended up here. There were so many different types of vegan donuts to choose from. The raspberry jelly one which we wanted to try was sold out. We tried 2 donuts: 1) pistachio and 2) strawberry caramel cardamom one. Pistachio donut - The donut was very soft and cakey texture, but had a weird artificial almond extract aftertaste. Strawberry caramel cardamom donut - I preferred this donut more than the pistachio one. This one had so much different flavors and the taste was nice. Super soft and I could taste the stawberry, cardamom and caramel. Staff was very friendly. Some indoor & outdoor seating.

The Boston cream had a rich, smooth filling with the perfect chocolate glaze, and the strawberry sprinkles donut was perfectly sweet and nostalgic. What makes this place special is that it's both affordable and consistently delicious! They have all the classic flavors but also some specialty donuts if you want to try something different. The old-school ambiance gives it a real Brooklyn charm, and it feels like stepping back in time. Just remember to bring cash because it's cash only; but it's absolutely worth it.

They were young, energetic, and a hard working bunch, Eastern European sounding . They are fierce in their added charges at the register- the likes of which I have never seen in the coffee shop/ donut world. First & Last visit. Too mich of a culture clash. How I was treated here would not fly or last One minute in North Shore Nassau -.But here in Brooklyn this is a bustling coffee & donut shop with all seats taken and a line for take out. Donuts & coffee both good - Good. Experience a no go. They were pre- occupied with added fees. it's all they mentioned with each donut picked. It went like this - "A dozen doughnuts please" and I began pointing at quite regular looking donuts (all in the same rows) or so I thought. " thats a dollar extra" ( boston creme) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( coconut creme) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( boston creme stick) hm ok " thats a dollar extra" ( french cruller white icing hm ok " thats a dollar extra" (french cruller chocolate icing) hm ok " Two small coffees also please " HM are those the small?? I kid you not they were TINY kid sized The cup size I have never seen before. They must special order them for samples or something. Ok so "They are wayyy too tiny so - medium please" Out came the typical small sized cup - Hmm so ok. Let's ring and go I'm thinking. Next the woman is struggling with a paper by the register trying to figure out the coat of this dozen donuts (plus five with her added $1's) - then more struggle and I said " it's a dozen plus $5" thats $29.50". "Oh no you don't have a dozen". Apparently the extra $5 disqualified my "dozen". I know what you're thinking but No- no special donuts from some other case - no coffee rolls etc - i'm a NY'er and know a donut from a special roll etc. You need to buy five more for a dozen. "Oh? No, I have a dozen and am paying you five up charges as you stated." Next thing she is ringing the donuts individually Plus the extra $5 Which makes NO sense. But gets her another added $5 or so. Why would they keep quoting me add ons to my dozen if no dozen existed once you added a Boston creme etc. She raced to the manager. The Brooklynites thought ne a mean old lady for saying you're overcharging me'. The manager flew over - a young man huffy and emphatic that the five very ordinary donuts that were $5 more converted my dozen to a different price per donut. Then they said something funny to me - "would you like me to take those out and give you regular donuts?". No. (See update for more) " No those are the ones I want " but you just over charged me - I'll take them. But you are overcharging me. Thank you. Holy mackerel - just glad to be on the way out WITH the donuts of course- I was not furious or anything- and the donuts were never at risk- I'd not walk out on the donuts - My advice is to be more transparent in pricing and not deem very basic donuts special donuts - making your customers feel ripped off.- Better just to charge more for the dozen. And.. like other shops put any supposed special donuts in a special donut area - like coffee rolls, big fritters etc. That's how it's Typically done. This is New York! You can't pull that here. This is a place where people pay $6 for a good cookie. They are not cheap. Don't be weird at the register. And those cups Come on - are you KIDding me - pun intended. I left holding on to my wallet a lot tighter. And that is not NYstyle. I felt like some war was on and was ready to start stacking change. I'm also half Italian! So for me - This was one weird cheapskate experience. So that's my review. --------------------Update - Follow up to reply ------------------------------- Hi Demetrios, Thank you for replying. I generally stay positive on reviews. Like I said it was the aggressive way I was treated that was the no go for me. What I left out of the review was worse! For instance - your counter person began reaching to open the box saying she was taking out donuts to replace them with others. She grabbed the box and actually began getting ready to fling donuts around. It was totally weird. Had she actually not stopped trying to untie when asked I would have not taken them. It weirded me out. You say you keep the business the same since 1993? Well where is the Jelly Stick? A New Yok classic. So much for keeping it the same. Its on the sign over the counter and you don't make them any more .. so It is Not the same as it once was. Got ya! jk. And no.. no no.. I am Never mean or rude... just willing to say something. Ok so the coffee.. if its really $1 I get it.. its a nice gesture to your customers... they had something like that in Montauk.. a tiny beer for $1 at a place called Liar's Saloon. So ok.... right on you. Update /3
