Instead of my order I received a Large Coffee and Bagel with Egg and Cheese. I called them back, and they claimed they didn't do delivery orders. How, if they just called me to negotiate a replacement. The Driver didn't make a mistake either, because the receipt had the correct order number and items listed. Pretty good bagel shop after a quick bite to eat. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with a massive oven and big pot where the bagels are kettle cooked. This is oldschool and how many of the bagels shops used to operate. This is why the bagels here are pretty good. Slight crisp on the exterior and slight chew on the inside. Can't go wrong. Really solid bagels. Stopped by for a few before hitting the road on a drive home from Coney Island. My one gripe may sound silly, but they 100% were not cleaning the knife they were using. I had no idea they had rainbow bagels (or ham) so this was a real treat. The novelty of the bagel didn't take away from the quality. The bagel was the best I have had ever. Deliciously crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. They put the cheese in between the eggs. I always appreciate a high regard for perfect sandwich bite ratios. Good job! Excellent bagel place, the best. There is usally a line especially on weekends, but it is worth the wait. The bagels are crisp on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. And they are not expensive at all. Most come schmeared with ample portions of cream cheese, but I prefer mine toasted with butter. I like that you can watch the bagels being made, first boiled in a vat and then cooked in the large revolving oven in an open kitchen. They are back open! The place looks new/renovated, so I assume this is the place...and if it is, they haven't lost a beat. I've lived around here for a while and never stopped in. Now I can't stop going. Everything bagels have salt, which fans love. Croissants are so buttery, they will drench the bag in moments, and if you put them in the toaster oven, the scent of melty butter will fill the room. Then you will put more butter on there. Bagel with cream cheese is $1.50. Where else can I find this? Not many places, and considering the amount and quality of the cream cheese, well that narrows your options even further. Danishes and Croissants are $2. Good price but can get pricey if you are buying breakfast for your study group (4 of each ran me 16 bucks -- but hey breakfast for 4-5 people, not a bad deal if you really think about it). Also since now, the group wants to meet more, you know to get more work done on this project, and now more people want in on the group, and you get a request for croissants that sounds like a veiled threat. A small price overall to pay for happiness (theirs) and physical well-being (mine). Service is fast and friendly. These kids work hard. Then there are no prices posted for bagels by the dozen. There is a sign that says $ 1.20 for bagels $ 2.00 for rainbow. WTF. Most any other bagel places give you a break on a dozen and often throw in 2 - 4 for free. And these people want $ 1.20 for a single bagel. I had to keep my eyes open to catch a worker because he was by the register instead of being bebind the counter. I got a coffee too. Coffee wasn't so great. While inside I observed an employee in there working all by himself whipping up breakfast for customers with unusual requests. If it were me, I would've lost patience being the only one serving and dealing with a long line of customers. He kept his cool but had the obvious look of irritation all over his face.
