Given my location, the overall taste, and the value, I'd say this is my favorite bagel place in Fort Hamilton. Service is usually quick, though at the usual busy times there can be a bit of a wait. The BEC is always nicely filled, and when I ask for hot sauce (as I usually do), they put a good amount, unlike some other places nearby. Also, they toast their bagels just a little more than others so the outside has a nice crispness, while the inside was still soft. I feel like this place costs maybe 25 cents more than others in the area but it feels worth it. Ambiance is what it is: there are a few tables for people to sit at, but the vast majority are there to order and go. Great local spot. read more

I ordered a sandwich and a banana smoothie from Bagel Supreme. When the order arrived, the smoothie was missing. I asked the delivery lady about it, but she couldn't speak English, so I called the restaurant directly. When I asked them what happened, they said, "Oh, we canceled it and called you"--which was not true; I never received a call. I asked why they canceled it, and the guy just said, "We canceled it and gave you a refund." When I asked if they could still send the smoothie, he responded in an angry voice, "I canceled it, and I gave you a refund--what don't you understand?" Extremely rude. The bagel was nice, no complaints there. But paying was fairly easy UNTIL I went to my banks website and found they charged me $10.82 even though my receipt said $10.50. I don't know why there was a difference. It doesn't seem correct to be tax. And I left a cash tip. And whatever it was, I believe it should have been stated on the receipt. This small and seemingly hidden bagel shop sells some decent bagels. Stopped by at around 1:30 pm for an everything bagel with lox and scallion cc. Since their bagels weren't as fresh at 1 pm as they would be in the morning, we asked them to warm them up lightly. A light warming made them taste just fine. The bagels had a nice crisp exterior with a chewy interior, were large, and nicely seasoned. Bagel sandwiches are filled generously but perhaps a bit too much? While their bagels themselves are worthwhile, I personally didn't like their cream cheese. It was so stiff and sat on the bottom of my bagel like a block of cream cheese rather than a smear. I had to remove most of the cream cheese to actually enjoy the sandwich. We also ordered two bagels with bacon, eggs, and cheese but they seemed to forget the cheese. While service is friendly, they are slightly slow. To be honest, if you'd like to dine from here, I'd suggest a bagel with butter and no further. This is my go-to spot for bagels! They carry a great variety of bagels. The bagels are chewy, loaded with toppings (except for the plain ones) and a decent size. I've gotten a dozen bagels from this place before and they keep well in the fridge. Each bagel is $1 each but I think if you buy them by the dozen they are cheaper. read more

Stopped here for a quick late breakfast on a Sunday morning. I'm not really a huge bread person but I had just ran the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon so I was down for anything. I saw the bagels with white powder all over them and asked what flavor they were. They were the French Toast bagels. I, of course, only got one because they are huge. I live in the neighborhood...In the past month I have gone in there 3 different times around 1:30 PM....each time I asked for a tuna hero...I was told they have no more Tuna until the next day. I'm not sure what the history of this place is, but it sure is good now! You can see it has been renovated, even the name has changed to Bagels Supreme. A bagel store most present itself in a way that makes you feel you can pick any bagel from the batch and get a good one, this place does that. The bagels are separated but in a neat way, and you can tell which ones are fresh because they are in open air and visibe and not hidden in a glass case I ordered an egg bagel with cream cheese and an arizona iced tea, came out to $2.99 which is fine by me considering what other places charge. The bagel was chewey just the way i like it and the cream cheese was cool which makes it taste better. They have boars head deli meats and other items like gourmet muffins. Staff was friendly and multi-ethnic with an Italian guy, an Asian woman and a Spanish woman. I really like this store and i will take a trip back when i'm in the area. read more

Best bagels in Bay Ridge, possibly Brooklyn! So fortunate they are just a couple blocks from me and really close to the subway. A super convenient spot for on-the-go breakfast and coffee. This is a newly renovated, family run bagel business at the fork of 4th and 5th avenue in Bay Ridge. The new layout is spacious enough to allow for a line formation with visible digital menus and about 3-4 tables. I think they could have benefit from furniture that is more inviting. Nevertheless, my experience is always a bagel breakfast to go comprised of delicious and decorated sesame bagel with vegetable cream cheese ($3.00.) This may sound weird, but because these bagels are so filling I usually have half left which tastes better the day after!? Maybe the cream cheese is too fresh and the flavor of the veggie bits have a chance to seep into the cream. Don't get me wrong, too fresh is never a complaint! Stop by for a bagel or what look to be delicious wraps, a carton of OJ and get your day rolling. There is diagonal metered spots across the street, but you will probably be in and out within 5 minutes so if you like to live life on the edge, save your quarter ;] One thing I'd hope they improve upon is their hot coffee which is usually a bodega style small cup with a gross amount of milk and sugar though YMMV. read more

I've often gone to Supreme Bagel on my way home. After today I'm very concerned and will never be back. I stopped in around 5:30pm on Feb 27th. The employee was vacuuming and **took out the trash** before taking my order. I told him what I wanted and he went behind the counter and immediately started making it without washing his hands or putting on gloves. I was appalled and told him he just took the trash out and needs to wash his hands. He rolled his eyes. Turned on the sink, got them wet and turned the sink off. He never used soap. I was horrified an employee was so cavalier about handling trash and then serving a customer food. He needs to be fired and all employees need to be reminded the importance and THE LAW to wash hands. read more

While the place might have two or more names (the sign says "Bagel Supreme" but this Yelp listing doesn't), I can honestly say these are some of the best bagels I have ever had, and I've lived in Brooklyn my entire life. Each bagel is handmade, and it shows. No two bagels are the same shape. The flavor that is embedded in these bagels is perfect. Each bite is doughy by not too doughy, slightly sweet, fluffy, and well-balanced for whatever spread you happen to choose. I have had their egg, everything, whole wheat everything and poppy seed bagels, and I have not been disappointed on any of them. I almost always get their tuna salad, which also happens to be delicious and not over-dressed. You actually taste that it is tuna, as opposed to mayo with a little but of fish thrown in for good measure. Few things will get me to take the trip all the way to the end of the R line in Brooklyn just for the hell of it. These bagels are one of those things. HIGHLY recommended, 100%. read more

Hands down best bagels around. How could anyone give this place less than 4 stars at the worst? The staff are super nice and wonderful members of the community. The bagels are the best I've ever had. They beat H&H bagels (before they closed). A nice crust on the outside and perfectly done on the inside. Great whole wheat options. Lots of choices of spreads.
