Mike is a true professional. We could not be happier with our tile he installed in our kitchen. He was extremely helpful throughout the process and helping us understand the project. He also had to replace some drywall behind our sink that was in bad shape. He insisted on making sure the job was done right. He is very meticulous and detail oriented. He was very communicative during the process and completed the whole job in a timely fashion. We are certainly going to hire him back to do the tile in our bathrooms. read more

Mike has done two major bathroom renovations in our home, including a full upstairs bathroom gut down to the studs and subfloor, as well as our primary bathroom with a large custom-tile shower, frameless glass, and freestanding tub. The quality of his work speaks for itself. Mike is meticulous with his tile work and clearly takes a lot of pride in getting the details right. He's also a licensed general contractor, which made a real difference on projects this involved. He understands everything that needs to happen behind the finished surfaces, not just what you see at the end. He was dependable, straightforward, and genuinely easy to work with throughout both projects. When someone is working in your home for an extended period of time, that matters just as much as the finished product. We've trusted Mike with two substantial remodels and wouldn't hesitate to call him again. Great craftsman and a good guy. Absolutely recommend him. read more

We contacted Mike to help us fix some tile work that a family member attempted to install, but wasn't up to the standard we were looking for. I especially appreciated that he was very communicative and completed the work during the dates and timeframe he promised. He was extremely detail-oriented in his work (wish we had hired him to do the tile work to begin with). He gave suggestions on how to approach certain parts of the repair based on his expertise, and I'm glad we took his advice at each step. We are very happy with the results. Would definitely recommend Mike for any tile work you need done! See attached before and after photos. read more

I contacted Mike to do a kitchen backsplash. He was quick to call back and schedule a visit for an estimate. We had a limited window to do the job (certain days, etc) and he was accommodating to our needs. We are so pleased with his work. He is detail oriented, with precision to ensure the pattern was symmetrical etc. He worked very neatly and left the house clean at the end of workday. It's beautiful. I highly recommend him. read more

Mike and his team did a great job remodeling our bathroom in Carmichael. We are very happy with his work and would highly recommend him. Mike was involved with the whole project; demo, waterproofing, tile installation, installing a toilet, and fixtures. He is easy to work with and provides good recommendations for options or improvements that can be made. I ask a lot of questions, and he was happy to answer them all and explain patiently. He has a good eye and pays attention to small details that make the final product come out really nice. Other parts of the project like plumbing, electrical and stone countertops Mike has people he works with to complete the job seamlessly. They cut, polished, and installed a quartzite countertop and sink, added plumbing for the shower, and installed a glass shower door. Overall, the project was completed quickly. Mike was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to future tile projects. read more

Mike's the best! I was so worried about hiring a tile guy, because I'd never had a tiling project before, but I was so fortunate to find Mike. I had a pretty small project - just needed to install decorative tile under my new range hood and above subway tile. Once Mike arrived, I knew it'd be ok. He not only reassured me of the things I was concerned about, he seemed authentically interested in the project and doing the little details to make sure it was perfect! I totally would recommend him for your tiling project! I'm so happy with my little cooking space, thanks to Mike! read more

Mike did an outstanding job on my entryway! As it turns out, the area was not square and he had to cut the tile to fit. He is very skilled at installing tile. It is apparent that he takes pride in his work as he went to get additional baseboard and high quality grout to do the job right. He and his assistant worked hard to get this done in one day. I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs tile work done. read more

My project was replacing my kitchen countertops with quartz, new tile backsplash, sink and faucet. The counters had to be done by Home Depot's vendor. I have custom cabinets that came with our house. In one corner they go down to the counter, which created a problem for the countertop vendor -- said I would have to cut them! Thank goodness for Mike, who said that he could remove the cabinets and put them back up. Mike is a perfectionist who did a beautiful job on the decorative frame above my oven. He did all the prep and was able to complete the job in one day -- stayed until 9pm! I am very happy with Mike's work and will be sure to recommend him to family and friends. read more

Mike did an amazing job on my bathroom tiling! The attention to detail is great. I had my bathroom sitting unfinished for a couple of years and during the consultation he provided suggestions and his level of expertise was evident. He worked really hard for three days, and was even able to finish one day early, and my bathroom turned out better than I could have ever hoped for. Mike provided amazing service at a great price and I appreciated his professionalism and dedication to detail. I would suggest him to anyone who needs a remodel or tiling! read more

I would whole-heartedly recommend Mike's Tile if you are thinking of having bathroom work (or a kitchen upgrade) done. After vetting five of the top-rated tile contractors, I chose to work with Mike's tile based on his solid 5-star Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed as I am super-picky. He brought my plans to life and did a beautiful, old-world craftsmanship type job on my shower remodel. I couldn't be more pleased with the final outcome. All of the prep work and water-proofing was done as a meticulously as the final tile setting itself. His price was the best of the five quotes I received and he did the tile work himself. Mike is also CA-state licensed contractor. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mike's Tile, and I can't speak highly enough about his work. Mike's craftsmanship is truly meticulous--every detail of the tilework was executed with precision and care. His thorough prep work ensured a flawless finish, and his clean-up process left the space spotless. Tiling requires a certain amount of attention to detail and I'm so please to have found a tiler that is as much of a perfectionist as I am. He helped removed the upper cabinet, retile the backsplash and installed floating shelves. He is also a nice guy! He literally whistles and sings while he works! Haha What really stood out was Mike's commitment to going above and beyond in his work. He didn't just meet expectations; he exceeded them. The results are absolutely stunning, and his pricing is very reasonable for the quality delivered. Without a doubt, I will use Mike's Tile again and wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone in need of exceptional tile work. read more

Mike and his team did an amazing job in tiling a fireplace for me. It was obvious from the start of meeting with Mike that he was the perfect fit for my job. Mike has a perfectionist attitude, a creative eye for detail, and a strong work ethic. Mike was tiling behind a team that framed my fireplace. When Mike saw the work the contractor did he was shocked at the poor job that he had to tile behind. Mike worked at least half of a day fixing the issues that were left behind by another contractor. The end result of the project is beautiful and I couldn't be more happy with the job. I would recommend Mike for any tile job. I will definitely use him for my next project. read more

Mike and his crew recently re-did our tile in the master bathroom, which included a shower, plus the marble countertop was refinished. Mike did an absolutely beautiful job! His attention to detail is why I hired him. He has high standards and so do I, so it was a perfect fit. Our house is quite old and Mike did an amazing job leveling out the floors due to slanting. That was a lot of prep and I'm so glad he was particular about that. From beginning to end Mike explained what he was doing. The communication was great. The bathroom turned out even better than I had envisioned. We are super happy and plan on hiring Mike to do another bathroom in the near future. His assistant, Demetri, is fantastic as well. Very hard worker. I give Mike my highest recommendation! He's a perfectionist! read more

I had Mike come out and provide a quote for repair of a floor in the master bath and to re-tile the floor following a water leak that I had previously repaired. I ultimately did not use his services as the bid was too high. I got the impression that Mike was an expert in what he does, and that the quality of his work is excellent. I was able to get what I needed for much less with another licensed contractor. My takeaway for anyone considering this type of work done is to get at least 3 quote before having this type of work done. He was not.able to provide me a paper copy of his written quote, and I had to take photo of it with my smart phone. I think that you should provide the customer a copy of any estimate and not.just a screenshot of it. Hopefully this contractor will find this feedback to be helpful. read more

We had Mike remodel two bathrooms at the same time. He was amazing to work with and we are so happy with his work. He is meticulous and did the cleanest, nicest job I have seen. His ad is for Mike's tile but he is so much more than that. We had drop down ceilings over both our shower and tub and he raised the ceiling, which was a huge job and replaced some sub flooring. What he does not do he subs out. Everyone that came out was so nice and meticulous. We only had one issue with a sub that framed out two windows. The minute we said it's not right Mike said ok and had the guy come back out and redid them both with no discussion and no attitude. When is anything that simple? Haha. Remodels are never fun but this was as easy as could be because of Mike. He talked with us about everything and we had discussions about the work whenever either one of us needed to touch bases. He also worked very long days to meet his deadline date and he met it! We have already recommended him to two friends and recommend to all. Great guy and great work! read more

I am so thankful that I found Mike's Tile here on Yelp. I was impressed by all the five-star reviews and after reading many, I was convinced that he was the right person for our job of installing a new backsplash. My main concern was that I chose a difficult glass mosaic tile that was not for the faint-of-heart. I was wondering how anyone would cut these delicate tiles to line up with all of the curves around the windows and underneath my lighting Well Mike was the right guy for this job and pleasantly surprised me as he went above and beyond my expectations of perfection. I do not see even 1 tiny flaw. He worked hard and achieved another masterpiece, I couldn't wait to show off my new tile. Mike is timely, creative and makes sure that everything is done the way you want it. I was impressed from the first meeting where he gave me the confidence in going forward. Therefore, I highly recommend Mike for any job and look forward to putting him to task with many other projects ahead. read more

In February we had the horrible nightmare of water damage in our master bathroom which was not covered by insurance. We needed someone to repair damaged floor boards, rebuild and configure a walk-in shower, and all on a budget. We got many different bids for the job but Mike's bid was the best and we felt confident in his tile work. From start to finish, they were fast, efficient, built a shower that had several layers of protection from future water damage, and it turned out beautiful. They made sure the new shower wall was sturdy by reinforcing it with an extra bench. And he spent a whole day replacing some tiles on the floor that we had an issue with. His work is amazing, his plumber did excellent work, and we could not be happier. We will be using him in the future when it's time to remodel the other bathrooms in our home. read more

I couldn't recommend Mike's tile more. Mike was super responsive when I emailed for a quote for a kitchen backsplash. He came out promptly, explained everything that he planned to do and why, explained what I needed to do, and provided a detailed written quote that was reasonable compared to several others I received (neither the cheapest nor the most expensive). He was also responsive during the scheduling process and was able to schedule the job for about a week out. And during the installation, he was always in communication with me, asking questions and ensuring that we were on the same page with respect to how the tile would be installed (and the pros and cons of my various options). Met Mike though our GC who had worked with Mike on a number of jobs. We're completely redoing our house, tore it all down and built afresh. Mike did 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a Mudroom for us. From looking at other tile jobs I had an unnatural fear of bad grout lines, crappy corners, and tiny courses of tile in visible areas (plan for the width of the room!). None of those things were an issue with Mike. He was very thoughtful in tile placement and showing me a number of different options so there would always be a substantial amount of tile around the edges of the job. I felt comfortable enough with him to tell him I trusted him to make design choices in my absence. The job turned out great! Thanks Mike!! read more
