I've been coming to this restaurant for over four years, and it has never disappointed. The owners are Korean and they know how to cook. I spent a year in South Korea (1984-85) and fell in love with the food--I ate Korean meals almost every day. This place tastes every bit as authentic as what I enjoyed over there. This restaurant is located in the Hmart. I thought they were very nice as they explained some of the dishes to my mom when we were asking what was what. I got the beef soondubu and thought it was pretty good. They give you a lot of food and I had to take some home as leftovers! Flavors were strong, a little bit spicy. They also gave me rice which was great since eating soondubu by itself can get salty. My sister got the soybean soup and it tasted like a glorified huge miso soup. My mom's dolsot bibimbap was really good! They got the rice to crisp up very nicely and I kept wanting more of the crunchy rice bits! read more

Bulgogi is normally thinly sliced rib-eye or sirloin. They make theirs with hamburger meat. And even worse, the giant pictures of the dishes on their menu board show the thinly sliced beef version. So when I got my to-go order home I was generally surprised by the consistency of the beef. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the flavor was good, but talk about false advertising! read more

The Doraville HMart set the food court standard high. The Korean dishes in this HMart just aren't as flavorful in comparison.. Things you should know: I. LOCATION Inside the John's Creek HMart food court II. SERVICE Timely ~ no compliants III. QUALITY I had been craving tteok mandu guk since we moved away from the Doraville location, but this was the ONLY nearby shop that served it. The broth wasn't as flavorful and seemed more watery to me. They did have MORE dumplings and beef ~ so I liked the quantity and density of the soup here. My Korean boyfriend seemed quite disappointed in his dish. BUT since it's the only nearby place with the dish I often crave, I'll probably come here again. IV. For being a standard Korean food stand operating in an H Mart, I think they do a pretty solid job on everything and I would order anything off their menu without worry. If it were in Duluth I might drop it a star because of the nearby good eats, but it's A-ok for Johns Creek. The first time I ate here I got the Ulken Haemool Gook Bap (#5) (spicy seafood soup with rice) which is a quite unique take on spicy seafood noodle soup (which they sell to the left and right of this store so they probably didn't want to have the exact same menu item). It was tasty and unique, especially as there are some flour dumplings in there that give you some texture. I enjoyed it, not sure if I'd get it again. We've tried the Bulgogi Omelette (#63), or rice wrapped in egg served with bulgogi beef. It was unique and pretty good. I enjoyed it, but again, I don't know that I'd get it again. I got the cold noodle soup (#33) which was very tasty and enough for two meals. I'd definitely get it again on a hot day. I had a friend order the Gum un Kongkuksu (#19) and she said it was great. This is located within the H mart. Ambiance is not a factor here and food is ok. The pictures on their website is not what you get. I had the cold buckwheat noodle soup and i have had better. The condiments are not what you would normally get at a Korean restaurant. But for $9 its a quick fix. read more

Miga is a food court restaurant that focuses on korean cuisine. Mostly traditional but some korean snack items as well, like their Bulgogi Omurice. I've had several items here but my favorite by far is the Marinated Pork/ Spicy Pork. It's subtly sweet and has a kick and you can taste a bit of smokiness from the grilling/ stir frying of the meat. The ajumma that works here is always smiling and pleasant so that is a bonus. Miga is a good spot for a quick and affordable meal that is sure to fill you up. read more

Beef noodle soup is both beefy and fatty at the same time I think marinated bulgolgi is used for this. It is a simple dish with a thin broth, glass noodles and even mushrooms think of it as comfort food. If you like it spicy you can ask that it be made for you or you can add some of the sirracha that is on the counter. Two kinds of dumplings are offered here regular and the King dumplings and at a $1.69 are a steal and a great snack too theses are steamed and filled with pork and chunks of veggies.You will need to make your own sauce for the dumplings so put some soy sauce in a dish, add a touch of vinegar and a heaping spoonful of chili oil mix and enjoy. read more

Spicy beef soup is the best I've ever tasted. I love that it was not very heavy with oil and it also had a lot of fresh vegetables from the market. Octopus bokum looked good as well as the spicy pork. My husband enjoyed the bulgogi but I wasn't too impressed with that personally. read more

Miga is a Korean restaurant operating from the food court in the H-Mart in Johns Creek. It offers fresh, quality Korean food at great prices. I love the Bibimbap here, and the Kimche Sundubu is the bomb! The owners are super friendly and very welcoming. The owner explained that Miga is from Mi meaning tasty or beautiful, and Ga meaning house which really describes their operation. If this was a free standing restaurant, it would get a lot of attention. There are tons of restaurants in the Johns Creek area, but this little food court shop gets my lunch money every time I am in the area! read more

The WORST Korean food ever I experienced in my life! We were so hungry! Haven't ate since breakfast. Traveling down from Ohio. Their 1. "chap chae bull gogi " was extremely salty! My daughter didn't eat! 2. " seafood BBBop " was not seasoned! Raw cheap mixed seafood! Very fishy smell! Their BBBop vegetables were fusion style not your topical Korean dol sot !! Just look at the pictures! 3. Their whiting fish soup was very fishy! FULL OF MSG!!! This h mart place is new and pretty but we all know, looks is not everything. It all comes down to good Korean food. 4. The Korean lady who took our food order was not the happiest. She looked miserable being there. This is my favorite stop for Korean food these days. Nothing here is exceptional in terms of quality compared to a regular Korean restaurant, but remember here you are - in a grocery store with a small food court! While nothing here stands out as truly amazing, Everything is REALLY good! The Bulgogi (marinated beef) is great with rice. The spicy squid (Bul Go Keum?) is very well prepared with more of a crisp texture instead of the squishy/chewy texture so many other places achieve. The spicy pork caries the same flavor and is nearly irresistible on the sizzling platter that so many of the dishes here are served on. The Soon Do Boo (spicy soup with tofu cubes and kimchi) is very tasty. The tofu holds enough texture to eat with chopsticks, a major bonus in my books! And finally (for the moment) the Bi Bim Bap. This traditional rice bowl topped with vegetables is hard to mess up. Mi Ga offers options with the egg or Bulgogi on top and if you ask, they'll substitute other options. This dish doesn't disappoint in any of its versions, topped with the always delicious Bi Bim sauce (a tasty pepper paste that accompanies many Korean dishes). All dishes are served with broth soup (like Miso), a small dish of kimchi and pickled spiced radishes. With the variety of options, the quality, and for the price this place is great for the novice, the adventurer or the traditionalist when it comes to Korean food. If you have questions, ask away! I've even had other customers offer opinions (politely) when I was exploring options. One more thing, service is normal for a Korean restaurant which translates to polite, friendly and above par for America. read more

This is probably the worst Korean restaurant that I've ever been to. Their soups either taste like water or are way over salted. I felt like barfing and couldn't even finish my meal. The lady in front is so rude. Unfortunately, this is the closest Korean restaurant near my house but I would rather starve than eat here again. read more
