    Beef tofu soup
    Matthew C.

Pretty good Korean restaurant in the John's creek area. Comparable to most in Duluth. The banchan side dishes are fresh and tasty. Free barley tea. Staff is kind and quick. Nice spot to go for a quick tofu soup! They also have bbq a la carte. Cozy atmosphere

10/13/24 Update: I haven't been here in a minute and decided to give them an update review. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and there is a steady flow of foot traffic here. We were seated right away and had a good spaced table. I ordered my usual of the Scallion Seafood Pancake and Hot Stone Beef Bugogi with an Egg. The side dishes were amazing. I really love the kimichi cucumbers. The Hot Stone Beef Bugogi tasted awesome and had a ton of beef in it. Which is a nice delight as some restaurants don't give you much meat. The crispy rice was amazing. The Scallion Seafood Pancake had a ton of squid inside and was super super tasty. Service was good and friendly. I highly recommend this place if your in the Johns Creek area and wanting some delicious Korean food. I can't wait to come back again!!

    Seafood kimchi pancake

I was eager to try this restaurant. It is near the hmart which makes it convenient to shop and eat. Like several other people have mentioned the service was indifferent at first but got better as the meal went on. By the end, the owner had stopped by twice to make sure we were enjoying the food The seafood kimchi pancake was great! You can order it in two sizes. The small was big enough to share. It had a nice amount of seafood. The spicy chicken was fantastic. It had a lot of veggies. The portion was a lot for the price. I wound up taking half of it home and it reheated nicely. The bonchon was pretty solid. I loved the cucumbers. That was the only one we asked for more of. I was not a huge fan of the kimchi served fresh because it was on the cusp of being fizzy. That is just a preference of mine. The actual flavor of it was good. The sprouts which I normally enjoy were bland in comparison to everything else. Overall I would definitely come back

    Beef Intestines tofu soup

Finding a place after a doctor's appointment, I chose this spot for a nice early dinner. I found that good tofu soup was something nice to find that was nearby and so it wasn't absolutely necessary that I travel to Pleasant Hill area (even though you can't deny that there are some really good spots there). Tofu Kitchen is a shop that's nestled in between a dojo and an Arepa restaurant. When we got there, it was pretty empty as it was an early dinner. The service was a bit slow, but we weren't sure if they knew if there was anyone at the front but once we got seated it was pretty swift. I ordered something that was a bit more on the "not usually ordered" items from the menu. I got the Beef Intestine tofu soup, and then along with that we shared a full order of the Galbi. They served banchan, but I do have to say the options were a bit limited as far as what was served. All the ingredients were good, and I can only imagine that they go through some waste as the amount of banchan wasn't that much. The intestine tofu soup was good, there was no taste of bitterness as I believe it was cleaned thoroughly. I enjoyed the galbi as it wasn't super chewy and the flavors were as expected. Overall, I enjoyed my visit here. If you are a newcomer to tofu soup, stick to the safe options, but if you're looking for something different definitely would recommend to try out the intestines. It's a different experience and will kind of open your eyes to see if you would like more or not. Galbi is an absolutely safe choice, and you won't regret it! That served over some rice and banchan will make any person happy.

    Military stew (budae jigae)

We stopped here as we were in the area and wanted something warm and brothy. I ordered the military stew, which includes spam, sausages, glass noodles, kimchi, beans, tofu, and rice cakes. Cheese and ramen are an additional dollar each. In my experience, I only had 3 rice cakes (yes I counted because it's one of my favorite ingredients in this stew). Beans and noodles were negligible too. Maybe they were more focused on giving me meat? Unlike the tofu soups, you can't choose your spicy level. If I recall correctly, the level is medium. While there was some good heat, it was easy to eat. We also had an order of galbi. It was not too chewy. This was definitely worth it. It was better than some popular places in the Pleasant Hill area. Tip: ask for scissors if you prefer to take smaller bites. It will make your eating experience so much easier.

It absolutely met all my expectations and more ! If you are craving some Korean soup, this is such a nice place to come to. It's very clean and the decor is pretty inside. I was greeted and seated immediately. I ordered the beef tofu soup and you can choose your spice level from mild to death lol! I got mild because I really can't handle spicy foods like that and it was perfect. It comes with an array of banchans and also a raw egg and white rice. When my food came out in a hot stone bowl, it was bubbling. I cracked the egg and it cooked in my soup right in front of me. I let it cool down just a bit and started eating. So flavorful and so filling. Each banchan tasted great as well. I would love to come back to try my more of their menu items. It's very easy to find and located in a shopping center with plenty of parking.

    Spicy stir fried chicken

The service started out really slowly. The two servers were slow and unattentive...until I yelled "Excuse me!" in Korean across the restaurant at them to get their attention. Then, the service righted itself and the manager made sure our table was consistently take care of. Now, the food...it was absolutely fantastic. I was wanting some Korean stew or soondubu soup so we decided to try this place out. The food was everything I needed it to be. The banchan was fresh and delicious. The stir fried spicy chicken was perfectly cooked and flavored and the stir fried spicy squid was great (nice and tender). The star of this show, and the whole reason I left the house, was the ham and cheese tofu soup. This soup had a generous portion of soft tofu, sausage, spam, and cheese in a spicy soup. It was incredible and provided the homey stew I was craving. On my next visit here, I know to speak to the staff in Korean as soon as I set foot through the door. It seems to be the key to getting better service.

My tofu soup to go. They packed four sides and rice!

Checked this place out for the tofu soup. We to goed and waited about 12 minutes for two orders. Seating was spaced out inside and the workers were friendly. The tofu soup was pretty good. Rich is flavor and they also packed four sides with good portion sizes, which I wasn't expecting for the to go. We also got the katsu. While the portion size was nice, the katsu was very thin and they forgot the sauce unfortunately. I like my katsu a little thicker and meatier. When it's thinned out too much, it's all crunch and feels like no meat. But that's my preference. Both meals were around $12. I'd come back for the tofu soup! Glad to find a place in johns creek that has tasty tofu soup and good customer service.

A great Korean food option if you are in the area. I ordered a spicy seafood tofu soup and it was so delicious! I also think the banchan/appetizers here are SO good. The mixed rice that comes with the soup is great. I don't have any complaints. The food came out pretty promptly as well. Seating was indoors but spaced out decently. Would recommend.

It was our first time and the food was excellent. Don't let the "tofu" in the name dissuade you. There is plenty of meat here!

Perfect if you're looking to celebrate more intimately with your group. We got their Go chu jap chae, Cream shrimp, Jjambbong, Tangsuyuk, and Seafood jaengban. Cream shrimp were also fluffy but my favorite dishes were definitely the Jjambbong and Seafood jaengban. It was difficult to say which one I liked better because they were both delicious in their own ways! The Tangsuyuk was also crispy with the sweet and sour dipping sauce on the side.
