I had to take my car in due to my check engine light coming on. I was kinda stressed because it was my first time at this dealership so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was setup with Hugo who listened and also explained to me about what was going on with my car and made sure I understood the process. Hugo kept me informed every step of the way and when the part that was needed was delayed he got me setup with a rental. I had a really poor experience with the service department this Friday. I brought my Chevy Bolt EV in for a "service high voltage charging system" light and was told a tech it was be looked at Saturday or Monday. I was contacted later in the evening by Adrian and was told Midway only has one technician working on EVs and wouldn't be able to look at my car until later in the week. I told Adrian this was unacceptable and I needed my car by the end of business day Monday for work. Adrian said this wasn't possible. On Saturday morning I picked up my car and drove it to Van Chevy in Scottsdale. My car was serviced and fixed by Monday at 7:30AM. As I stated last year my purge valve was broken so they replaced it. This past week my car began to idle erratically at stops and at times would shut off I took it back to midway because this should be a warranty issue and they found that it was....guess what was wrong with it? The purge valve was stuck out sucking more air more than it was getting fuel so it was tricking the engine thinking it was not starting on fuel. Hmm I wonder if this was the same purge valve they replaced 11 months ago..... John kelly is an absolute liar he will tell you they will cover under warranty then change it later and charge you. His department compromises your vehicle or parts and lies to you about it being covered and then rudely texts you not calls to tell you he won't commit to his word. What a piece of work. I have a love/hate relationship with this Chevy. The advisors are always so nice and when I pull up and drop my vehicle off, when I pick it up, or even as I'm waiting in the lobby. The one time I picked the option to wait until done, I arrived and he said it'll be 3 days right off the jump prior to even being looked at, maybe based off what I told him he already knew the time frame. Okay. why have that option if I wasn't able to wait for it? I didn't have any transportation in place bc I didn't expect that but okay maybe that's my fault bc I didn't even know what was wrong with the vehicle but then it turned into a week then a week and a half I had no choice because I needed it fixed and they fixed what the reader said needed done then something else needed fixed also unexpectedly, not anyones fault. I was slightly annoyed they had no courtesy vehicle so I had to pay for a rental for that long out of my own money. I would call every other day to get a update they were pretty pleasant. When I go for oil changes they have my vehicle there for HOURS, when I schedule my oil change I know not to make plans the rest of the day lol. I never complain to the advisors we often just joke because I get it's not their fault. They do help me out with the price sometimes due to me waiting forever. If it wasn't for their advisors being so understanding, joking, helpful to me I would take my business elsewhere but due to the advisors great personalities I continue to go back. There's a reason that Yelp has this dealership rated at two stars with almost 500 reviews, and that Better Business Bureau has them at 1.7 out of 5 stars. Absolutely horrendous from start to finish -- that is, if I was done dealing with them yet. Nope, looks like I'll be headed up to Phoenix from Tucson for the second time in less than a month after purchase to repair issues on the truck I bought from them. First, the salesman promised something they never planned on actually following through with -- the repair of the paint and tailbed from a minor fender bender the truck was in (clean title). They delivered the truck to me with missing paint, a dented tailbed, and some sort of very apparent glue they used to try and fill scratches. We came to an agreement to waive the reconditioning fee they charged me (you know, since they didn't recondition it). Fine. Maybe that'll be the end of it. Nope. Days after dropoff, the truck is having issues with a shaking steering wheel above 45mph. They tell me I'll have to bring it up. So, back to Phoenix I go! They sold me the truck with a bad tire, but guess what? The tire isn't in stock. I'm stranded in Phoenix until the tire comes in FIVE HOURS LATER. Then, somehow, it took them another three hours to put the tire on. I sat in the service department from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and was updated on the truck's status just twice in those eight hours. Anyway, tire's on now. Drives smoother on the ride home. Maybe that's the end of it. Wrong again! Now it appears they didn't balance the tire they put on, or did so incorrectly. The whole truck intermittently vibrates at any speed over 20mph. I text my new friends at the dealership to let them know the job's still not done. They tell me I can take my truck to a Tucson Chevy dealership for repair as the warranty states. Know what else the warranty states? That if you don't have the vehicle serviced at the selling dealership, you pay $100 deductible each time. This was never explained to me, even though each person involved in the transaction and warranty purchase was aware I was from Tucson. I just read that little detail right now in the fine print. So, now I either make them do the job right while sacrificing an entire day of my time, or I come out of pocket to pay for repairs that should've been made day one. Out of principle, though, I'll be taking the truck to Midway Chevy EVERY TIME there's an issue that needs service. Every. Single. Time. We can waste each other's time until they get it right. If they did this to me while in first responder uniform (since I drove straight from a Tucson fire station to the dealership), they'll do it to you, too. Hopefully this review sends you elsewhere. What is the expectation of service when you bring in your vehicle and three days later they say we have not looked at it yet? Other repair facilities call you and return with information at least. I have had my vehicle here in the past year and they had it for a month. Same exact issue came back and it completed on the warranty for the part but after of course we had to rule out a $1000 fix that I paid for first. My 2019 Chevrolet Colorado was purchased here also in 2019 and that was not a great experience either. What I want is an honest look and clear expectation as I have no vehicle for a week or more. I will update this if it deems it but for now it deserves less than a star. Update 8/18/2023 left two messages for service manager Dragan Perikic. Day 3 and 4 with no response. Nice try but please don't give me a canned response as it's Friday and all I've done is communicate with Jason and text the number he gave me but every single day I've reached out after 4 pm on calls that I've initiated. Nothing done. I'm not happy. It looks like I'll have to come get my truck and take it to another authorized dealer that wants to help with a truck I purchased at Midway and serviced for the same issue last year. Update: service manager reached out and explained and communicated with me. Truck is still there but I have a better understanding and optimism from Mr Perikic. I appreciate his candor and commitment to finding what is going on with my truck. Update: my vehicle never had an issue for them and Mr Perikic took over and communicated with me very well. My oh my... please heed the reviews you are reading and shop elsewhere! My wife and I were looking to trade our 2017 Equinox for a vehicle with the AUDIBLE blind spot monitoring, since she has a neck issue and it is difficult for her to turn her head. We saw online Midway was offering some incentives, so I wanted to check them out. We looked at a 2024 Equinox and were told it DID have the audible alert. When we test drove it, we did not hear the audible alert and was told it just needed to be turned on in the controls. We told them multiple times we wanted the audible. Well, after being at the dealership for over 6 hours, we settled on a "deal" for the Equinox, signed the papers, and left. That was Friday May 31. Saturday June 1, I went out to the car to activate the AUDIBLE blind spot alert and couldn't find it. (No one bothered to go over anything about the controls.) I looked all through the manuals and couldn't find it either. I finally got online to investigate, and found a forum where others were looking for the same thing. Well guess what! NO Equinox has an audible blind spot alert! Just the dinky light that flashes in the side mirror. I went back in and told the salesperson I wanted my trade in returned and the sale cancelled, since it did not have what I was told it did. I was told that since it was a 'last month sale' (May 31) they couldn't reverse the sale! Less than 24 hours! Well before I blew my gasket, I left. when I got home I called and asked to talk to the General Manager, who was conveniently not available. So I left a call back number. Today is July 1, and still waiting for the call back. On Tuesday June 3, I went back to Midway to get some kind of resolution. I've owned a number of Chevys , and was hoping for another one. Well, they offered to "trade" back the new one toward a different model. Here again Midway online was offering a $4000 dealer discount on Equinox. NONE of the proposals offered to me on a new Equinox showed the $4000. PLUS, they included the 'Midway Protection Plan' which added another $2000 to the price. So if I wanted to 'trade' the new Equinox (with less than 150 miles), it would have cost me $5000-$8000 out of pocket to get something else. And still heard nothing back from the GM! When I got a generic card from Steve Majoros (U.S. Vice President Chevrolet Marketing) and Dave Foringer (General Manager?) thanking me for choosing Midway, I couldn't stop laughing. I sent an email to Steve, and a snail mail letter to both explaining how unhappy I am. I guess I'll wait to see if I hear anything back. I saw the poor reviews online before I went there, but my wife saw some reviews elsewhere the weren't as bad. I should have trusted my gut and stayed away from Midway, which I would advise anyone reading this to do. Shop elsewhere! There are other dealers out there who will treat you better! read more

Midway, as your customer how do you expect me to not be upset when you do not value my time, my car, or my check book? I've been back three times and every time had issues. The worst part is they are one of the SLOWEST dealer service places I've ever been to. And there is very little communication with the customer. I've had to call and check in after x amount of time. The only reason I keep using Midway is cause I was talked into a contract for free oil changes and rotations (even though they told me when I bought the car it would cover more, but that's a while different reason Midway let me down) If you are reading reviews and on the fence, just don't use Midway. I should've read these reviews before I went there. I over paid for my car. I was way underpaid for the car I traded in. I was charged $2,913 in miscellaneous fees. $1,287 in taxes. none of my fee charges were itemized- I have no idea where this money went towards. Manufactures warranty but not given any paper work on it. When I asked if I can have something that showed the circumstance to my warranty I was told " Just get your oil changed and that's it." I had to call Toyota myself to know my warranty. A good salesman could've, should've, and would've provided that info. I was told that the protectant cover coating was complimentary but it was clear only on my bill. When I called I got the run around. GM said he would call me back in 15min but did not. No professionalism, salesman asked me out on a date after the deal was complete. These dealers are trained to move numbers around and make you think your getting a deal. Attached are photos of original price and how they increased it to move around other numbers to make me think they took $700 off The original offer. These salesman convinced me I was getting a smoking hot deal... watch out for there tag team duo. Do not buy into the scheme. I cancelled my warranty through them. The reviews are not impressive and I was able to extend my warranty through Toyota- which I found out when I called to get my warranty info. Arizona does not offer buyers remorse period. So be careful not to buy in haste. I got a good car but ultimately a bad deal and horrible customer service. they will never get my business again or a referral! read more

Sadly, you have to go to Yelp to get the truth behind this car dealership because the services they clearly pay for to rate themselves are all 4.9 stars and above. The customer service manager literally fought with me about the complaint I filed, telling me she had "never heard anything like that before!" When I calmly attempted to explain to her that it was merely my perception of the incident, and that perceptions are different to every individual, she (Dianne) continued to argue with me. That didn't surprise me so much as it did that this dealership continues to tell me that someone on their team will actually get back to me to help me with the issues on my brand new car, but nobody ever does. The customer service number doesn't work either so I'll just attempt to go to a different chevrolet at this point and hope I can eventually find someone to point me to the corporate contacts to file complaints. Don't ever waste your time at this dealership if you're expecting customer service of any sort (unless you appreciate the industry standard harassment by the narcissistic salesman). read more

BLUF: Do your homework, watch for their bait & switch game, and be prepared for lots of dishonesty My husband and I were looking for a new truck to replace his old 2004 pickup. My dad is very good when it comes to research, so we asked him to help us look. He found a deal online for a 2021 Silverado. It matched all the things we were looking for at a great deal. We called the dealership, talked to Oscar and confirmed that the truck was still available and for the same price. We told him we would be there within the hour. (it's good to note we had a print off of the truck with all the information and stock number so we were able to confirm once we arrived) We arrived at the dealership, met our sales person, and asked to see the truck. We then waited for 20 minutes while he "looked'' for the keys. He then informed us "that the truck was 'just' sold, but don't worry! they have another in a different color" we asked if this truck would be for the same price to which he responded "yes" The next 2 hours was spent going back and forth with different salesmen who were trying to swindle us and charge us $4000 more for this truck. We NEVER would have stayed and looked at the truck if we were told it was more expensive. A deal was made and then they didn't want to honor it. In the end, after all the pathetic attempt at swindling us, they brought the price down and we bought the truck. Best part of the entire experience? We checked back on the site today (4 days after purchase) and the truck that we originally went in to buy that was "sold" was back on the website, available for the next shmuck for them to swindle! I would not recommend Midway Chevy to my friends or family and I definitely won't return to them for future purchases. read more

Meh I have bought a couple of cars from them and have had overall decent experiences and it wasn't until the last couple of deal las where things went south. I had even given them a second chance and referred my sister to buy a car to which I noticed the numbers were off each time we went to the financing office for signing. They got them corrected thankfully but just unfortunate on how some may not notice this in the buzz of purchasing a new vehicle. Both in my deal and my sisters the numbers were not what we had originally agreed to so it was a bit frustrating but I also have not received the referral credit they told me would be due for referring my sister. UPDATE to below: First let me note that Brian in Fleet services is amazing and explained everything like an advisor should. If I would have dealt with him from the beginning my experience may have been different. But my views are still the same on Cesar and Jon, since I wrote a review I was told they are no longer servicing my vehicle which is fine with me because I don't trust either of them to work on my vehicle. If you don't want negative reviews, maybe learn better customer service. If I could give them a negative review, I would. Their service department is terrible. They have technicians who have no idea what they are doing. I brought my truck in a week ago for transmission issues, they advised no transmission issues just needed new ball joints. Not even a week later, my trucks transmission keeps slipping. Eventually it gets so bad that I barely make it home. I had lights on the dash stating the transmission was hot (I had that same issue when I brought it in the first time) so I let it cool down and brought it back to the dealership, barely making it there also now the check engine light is on. The service advisor Cesar calls me to tell me that they looked at my truck and ran the codes and advised I needed new battery cables. So I asked why did I not need new battery cables a week ago when I brought it in? He advised because last time we fixed half your transmission and that code never showed. I said back up last time you fixed half the transmission? I was never told that, I was told it was for the ball joints.. he starts stuttering stating he needs to check the paperwork, why wouldn't you look at all the paperwork first before contacting the customer? After checking the paperwork he says actually yes it looks like we replaced the control arms. I said to be honest you just told me two different things and now you are telling me something completely different from the last service advisor so at this point I don't trust anything you are telling me. I told them to have their manager call me. Jon Cady the service manager calls me to go over everything and apologize that there was miscommunication between the service advisor and techs and he can understand why I wouldn't trust what I was being told. He then explained everything again and stated he stands by his technicians diagnostic and that in order for them to even look at the transmission I would need to have the battery cables fixed first which would be $750.. what a scam. The manager told me if I don't like or agree with the diagnostic then I can take it somewhere else. And he was so kind enough to waive the diagnostic fee for me. HAHA what a joke of a dealership. Also my dad called them and they could not explain why the battery cables needed replaced. They are also terrible with communication, if you call them good luck on getting a call back. read more

Communicated with him the day prior, sending pics & info on the Audi trade-in we would have. We showed up as promised, even had a pre-authorization letter from BofA, ready to make a deal. Jay sent his salesman to meet us, to tell us they sold the car earlier that day. wouldn't even show his face to expl it himself. Had to hunt him down. He said it sold an hour before we got there, but we noticed it taken down from their website early afternoon, thinking they were holding it for us. So, he proved himself a liar and a coward. Not sure if they are incompetent or just dishonest. Took my 2007 Avalanche in to have it repaired. I was getting a "stabilitrak service traction control warning light. They got the truck in next day and called to tell me it just needs a Engine Control Module. They called to ask permission to proceed for $1,100. I said yes if that will fix the problem. They called me later that day to say the truck is ready for you. I got about 15 miles away and the same issue occurred. I drove it back to midway. Next day they called to tell me it was the catalytic converter that needs replaced. They quoted me $4,000 to replace it. I told them no. I picked up the truck and took it to a local mechanic that replaced the cat for $1,100. My local mechanic told me replacing the cat would not fix the traction control issue like midway said. He was right, the traction control issue was still there. I took it back to midway after replacing the cat and they told me I would need to replace the new after market cat with their GM Cat. I told the service guy if that does not fix the traction control I would not pay. He agreed saying he got with his superiors and yes he would not charge for the part but would charge for labor of $418.88 if replacing the CAT was not successful. (I still have the text from service) The problem with the traction control warning continued after the new CAT. The service rep refused to stand by his word and charged me the full $4,000+ read more

Been in the shop twice now and these assholes can't even bother to pick up a phone to call you back when you explicitly ask for a call back regardless of progress. If you wanna get dicked around and told by your sales rep "you should try to get ahold of the head of the service department" with absolutely no help in doing so, bring your car here. My car was at Midway for TEN days to have a fob paired! After my husband tried to pair an aftermarket fob at home and failed, I took it to Midway. The service man, Devin, told me that it would take a few hours. Then I didn't hear from again until I called the next day. He had not even called to let me know they were keeping it overnight. Instead of Devin being honest from the start and telling me that there was only one mechanic who could work on Chevy Bolts at Midway, he kept telling me that the mechanic was trying to track down the issue and that there were a lot of wires and electrical components that needed to be investigated. This gave me a lot of anxiety that something major was wrong with the car. It was only the last two days in which I know my car was worked on, as that was when Devin started explaining the actual issue, which was consistent with what I had read online. Also, prior to the last two days, Devin never called me. I had to call him every two days to check the status. I've used Van and Courtesy Chevrolet in the past, and will return to one of them in the future, as this was truly a horrible experience at Midway Chevrolet. read more

I went to Midway few days ago for a blower motor for my Chevy truck and the man working the counter was rude from the start. When I asked about how to get a business account, he rattled off some form numbers as if I am supposed to know their internal process. When I asked if I could fill the forms out in person, he did not answer, only snapped rudely the forms were available online. He then asked me with what seemed like disbelief, if I had an EIN for my business and when I affirmed, he repeated that I could access the forms online. Seems like it would have served this customer better to get it done while I was standing in front of him, but apparently that was not convenient for him. I own two mobile mechanic service trucks and 2 Chevy trucks for personal use and will not be returning to Midway Chevrolet for any reason. Worst parts buying experience I have had. Is the value good? Can be. Responsive? For sure.. why the 2 star review? It's all thanks to one particular sales rep; the typical pitch that every dealership goes through, creating that uncomfortable, annoying, heavily frustrating experience. Making a person want to literally shove a fist down their sales throat. Long story short (and yes this is the short side), after mentioning a car I specifically wanted, Damien (sales rep) wanted to tell me they didn't have it, and showed me cars twice the price in which I stated I wanted to pay. And a vehicle not even close to what I said. (By the way, they DID have the car I wanted, he didn't search for it; pathetic. And wanted to make a sale for him, not for my benefit). Lost the ability of buying the car thanks to him. It was sold a few days after I spoke with him. Pissing me off. A director, manager, and another sales rep did reach out to me, which I appreciate, bumping this review to a 2 star. (Alex, Jeff, Tennessee; thank you). But moral, avoid Damien or anyone that puts their quota or interest before yours. They may have gained a sale on that car ultimately, but created this review in the process due to not doing their job efficiently and honestly. This business is pathetic- I will never buy another vehicle from them!. 1st it takes nine days to check my engine light, which I agreed to leave the vehicle there since I have a another vehicle. Then they cannot drop me off at work because they're not using Lyft anymore which I drove here an hour away, and I need a ride to work, which is under the 10 miles because before used to be any worth they can sell your car in Buckeye but they can service and drop you off In Buckeye. Now Lyft is in offered any more and they don't have a shuttle a courtesy shuttle so I told him he could take my vehicle drop me off at work and I can get a ride from work home and they could keep it for nine days but that didn't work because they can't drive a vehicle because a person got into an accident somebody else's car so now I'm screwed. Do not buy the extended warranty from them because if you don't get it serviced at Midway if I take it to another dealership that is closer to me they charge me $100 co-pay so moral of the story is by car from a dealership near you or one like Arrowhead Cadillac, which offers exceptional service to customers even though you don't buy the vehicle there, that's the way it should be! read more

When I rolled in around 5:35, Adrian was incredibly professional and let me know there must be an issue with the website because they close at 6- this could have gone south really quickly, but when I shared that I have to drive to Tucson tomorrow and showed him my online confirmation, he honored it and got to work right away. Not only did he take great care of me, but the entire team had me out the door by 6:10. I am so grateful they stayed to make things right and take care of me- I had a number of employees check in on me while I waited in the cool AC of the lobby, and I definitely was made to feel valued as a client. WARNING! - Do not buy a vehicle from this place no matter what you do. This is the last place on the planet you want to go through. They sold me a complete lemon. Brand new car and it's been in the shop 5 different times. They've "fixed" it before and it breaks down 3 days later. They have had my car now for a month and a half now with no ETA because they don't have the parts. Please stay away from this dealership, mind you I had to resign 3 different times when I first bought it because they couldn't process paperwork correctly. Ok. My wife purchased 2 new vehicles for her daughters at Midway today. Our shopping experience began this past Saturday as we visited Midway and three other dealerships in our search. I can tell you that purchasing a new car in this market was a very unpleasant experience last Saturday. Not so at Midway Chevrolet though. Our salesman Orlando was professional, courteous and applied zero pressure. The sales manager Alec was very helpful, as was Tennessee who was kind enough to pick up our daughter from across town and bring her to the dealership to pick up her new car. This was the absolute worst service experience at a dealership ever! They had our car for 3 weeks with zero communication! Caesar the service advisor is pathetic! One star is too much. So everyone knows car dealers are not trustworthy, but this one takes the cake. Kit, the Sales Manager, bold face lied about the condition of a 2015 Chev Silverado. He then had Oscar his sales representative and Sean (poor Sean) another salesman lie upon lie to GET OUT OF A DEAL they low balled. BEWARE - You may think you had a deal in play but they'll yank it on a whim and for a higher paying customer. They agreed to a lower price on the truck, the had sellers remorse and manufactured a huge lie about a Cam-shaft repair that was needed. Yet, today it sits on the lot and if you call them they praise the structural integrity of this quality truck! (Oscar). We had $3k down and they called us with a tale of woe over the condition of the truck. "It's going to auction tomorrow". Hehehe...it sits on the lot today as an impeccable truck. Terrible time. Brian Doeden lied to me about issues on my brand new 2020 truck to drag out getting it looked at (told head was off due to "double headgasket" but it was never touched nor was it the issue, the GM system proves that, i have screen shots), told to take the truck elsewhere because i couldnt get simple information back, my calls were blocked, and all the while i had no vehicle to drive as there were "no loaners" as i was told (im sure that was a lie too). after a 2 month fight, i finally got my truck back. You want to talk about unprofession conduct and immoral practice, go see brian. he will be sure to screw your month up EDIT: Josh, you guys can contact me. Whatever happened to reliable customer service?!? I purchased a 2019 Chevy Silverado from this dealership, and since then, I have watched their quality of service take a nosedive. They no longer offer free Lyft or Uber services when you drop your vehicle off to be serviced, and I had to find that out the hard way when I tried to drop my truck off today. They should have let me know this when I made the appointment a week ago, so I could have made proper arrangements. Instead, I had to re-schedule the appointment. On top of that, they refused to see if they could determine if they had the proper parts in stock ahead of time, so I wouldn't have to make multiple return visits. It was just a couple of burned-out bulbs inside the instrument panel, and I am sure they have tech/parts manuals available for reference. I mean after all; they are a CHEVY DEALER and I have a CHEVY VEHICLE. In short, it looks like I will now have to make 3 separate trips to this Chevy dealership in order to get some very basic service and repairs done, and if there was another one close to me, I would avoid this place altogether. Perhaps you should do the same, especially if you are in the market for a new vehicle. read more

BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP***** We went in to purchase a car that I spoke to a salesman about over the phone for $17,000. When we get there they can't find this vehicle....that should have been our 1st clue!! We winded up purchasing same year vehicle with no miles for $23,00. No as great as deal as we came in for....but decided to do it. Well low and behold a week after WE SIGNED papers....ANOTHER BAIT & SWITCH NOW they want to rewrite deal, for MORE PER MONTH, MORE DOWN and maybe a totally different cheaper car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
