This dealership is what people hate buying cars and dislike the process. Hard pressure sales from the sales manager and low ball on the trade-in. And then the worst part: finance guy. This dude tried to sell me an extended warranty for "only $100" more per month....$7200! Told him I was not interested....and he kept pushing and pushing and pushing. I considered getting up and walking out due to this dudes practices but I actually liked the salesman and the truck. And the BS add-ons....$300 for plastic inserts for the door handles you can get on Amazon for $20. First (and last) service visit was a continuation of the poor experience. Told the car would take a day during first call....then it became maybe two, if not more. How incredibly lazy can you be to not help a customer who just paid thousands of dollars for a repair, start their vehicle to leave with it? DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR HERE!!!!! Don't even look at any of the cars they advertise online or you will be bombarded by sales calls for the rest of your life even if you don't provide them your information or you reply stop to their messages. This place needs to be investigated and shut down. I purchased a 2020 jeep wrangler from here on July 14, 2023 but I won't even go in to the sales experience so that we aren't here all day. Needless to say it left little to be desired from the start. Let's just skip ahead to the current state of my car. In march of 2025 my battery died so I had it replaced. In April of 2025 my accessory battery died which drained the new battery I had just purchased. I had it all repaired and about a week later my check engine light came on for maybe 2 minutes and then went off and didn't come on again. My car was running fine I had no leaks in the driveway and I had just had it in the shop and had them checking it as we weren't certain at first why the car wasn't starting and no codes came up so I just chalked it up to technical stuff from the battery replacements. A few weeks later as I I was driving it staring feeling like it would slip when it was trying to shift in to second gear but when I took my foot off the gas and then pressed it again it would be fine. I drove home and noticed a small collection of what looked like transmission fluid in the driveway so the next day I had it towed to a repair shop. They discover that oil was leaking with coolant and it needed a new radiator system and possibly a new engine. At this point the check engine light was still not on and the car seemed to be running fine but I still left it sitting while I decided how to proceed since the repairs were going to be very expensive and I still owed a lot on the car but when my sister was in an accident there was nobody else to go pick her up so I drove a total of 8 miles and then turned my car off for about an hour and when I went to leave the area the car drove about 25 yards and began overheating and seized up. I pulled over and parked it in a parking lot for the remainder of the day let it cool off then went and tried to get it around 11 pm I made it not even 2 miles before the engine stalled all the lights on my dash lit up and i wasn't even able to apply the break fully to get it to stop. Had it towed to The shop again and was told that the oil cooler had failed and that engine block was cracked and I would need to have the entire engine and radiator system completely replaced. Now back to the sales experience- while finishing paperwork after 8 hours at the dealership and about 30 minutes after the dealership closed I was told by the finance guy that the manufacturers warranty was expired and was sold an extended warranty through mpp. I was told it was the platinum package that covered literally everything on the car including windshields and key fob replacements if needed. It was an additional 5000 and was good for 30000 miles or 3 years. Back to present day- I'm super irritated by this and can't understand as I've been very diligent on my oil changes and checking fluids and such so I start researching and discover that my specific year and model of wrangler had been the issue of a class action lawsuit that had reached a settlement to where they extended the manufacturers warranty to 90000 miles due to a "death wobble" and this would allow the repairs of the wobble to be covered for anyone that had experienced it before the 90000 miles. This warranty extension went in to effect almost exactly one month before I purchased it so if they had researched when they got the car they would have found out about this and I could have saved 5000 not to mention had it repaired when I did in fact start experiencing the death wobble. I also found out that one of the main causes of an oil cooler failing is vibrations cracking the housing or breaking the seal. Now I can't say for sure that this is what definitely caused it but they can't tell me for sure that it's not and since I was never given the opportunity to have it fixed and find out I'm now responsible for a $15000 repair on a $30000 car I've only had for 2 years since the oil cooler isn't covered under the "gold package" extended warranty they signed me up for. To make matters worse - in the last month I have received multiple calls or texts from the sales department even after asking them to stop calling. Hopefully this review will keep anyone from considering even attempting to purchase a vehicle from them so I won't feel bad about skipping over the horrible experience of actually purchasing the car since this review is already a really long read. *** 3rd day in a row I received a call from them after speaking directly to the caller and asking them to remove my name from any lists and not to call me again. read more

Communication seems to be a problem for this dealership. It is also the first dealership where I have ever made a new car purchase (I have purchased several) where I had to drive my new vehicle to the gas station to meet one of their employees to get my first full tank of gas. I purchased a new truck and was owed a spray in bed liner. I had a brief phone call from the salesmen who said my appointment was set for the following Monday. However, I didn't receive appointment notification and was uncertain of the time. I text my salesmen multiple times and received no response. I took the day off and showed up at the service department when they opened at 7am. Not only did they not even have me on the books for that day. The team that does the bed liners didn't start until 8am. I was also not offered the loaner that my sales guy said I would get and had to sit around for 4 hours. Turns out that my sales guy didn't work there anymore which is why nothing was communicated. I was also told the day that I traded 2 of my cars in to purchase the new truck, that one of the first things they do is a factory reset on the trade in's to wipe all personal info prior to selling the car to another. 2 weeks later this had not happened, so I stopped by the dealership as I could see that one of the 2 cars was on their used car lot, and the other was still parked on the new car side. I was again assured that the factory resets would be done prior to the sale of either vehicle. A couple days later I did receive notification that one of the vehicles had been reset. So, I texted the new Sales guy that they set me up with since my original guy didn't work there anymore. Not only has the new contact not responded after multiple texts again, now the second car is parked at a residence out in Chandler, still containing my personal info. After looking into reviews across several platforms regarding Midway Chevrolet, it seems that communication has been an issue with this dealership for some time. I bought my car here but have been constantly irritated with the service department and as others have stated, a serious lack of communication. If communication was better, even with the poor service, I wouldn't have felt the need to write a review. Long story short, if I need work done, I will simply go somewhere else. If I need to go to a Chevrolet dealer, I will go to a further location. There are only 2 mechanics that work on electric vehicles and hybrids I'm told, so if you have one of those kinds of cars, it could take over a week to get simple diagnosis done, like my car, and who knows how long it will take to get the service done. I have had some very nice and customer service forward employees there, but overall, communication needs to be trained here. They're not getting any more money of mine. Details on my situation: Towed the car there Thursday at 2pm, Friday, nothing Monday, nothing Tuesday, I call asking about the car, told the car would be looked at Tuesday night or for sure Wednesday. Wednesday, called, no answer, drove to the dealership, they couldn't find my car's keys, still hasn't been looked at. I'm told that the car won't be looked at until most likely Friday, maybe Monday. I bought my 22 Chevy Equinox back in June of 2022. Since purchasing, I love my vehicle still, however, it wasn't until recently a service provider explained my warranty plans that I realized just how scammed I was in my purchase. For 1, I financed more than I was suppose to. I had a trade in vehicle that I had equity in and that was suppose to go towards my financing of my vehicle, it in fact did NOT go towards my loan and I financed more than I was told. I was also told that their new vehicles came with NO courtesy warranty plans, when in fact this was a lie. I was required to purchase a warranty plan (which I will say is a wonderful plan but financially was not something I wanted to do but for peace of mind I wanted). It is now 3 years later and a service provider at a different dealership explained to me that I didn't need to purchase this (which I pay $77 extra for in my loan because I was told that's the only way I could get a warranty) because there vehicle came with a FREE 36k mile/3 year warranty. I would never EVER recommend this dealership to anyone. They do not care about their customers, simply about making a deal. My vehicle also had tint issues which I brought back to have fixed on 3 occasions and every time it had bubbles. They basically told me because they couldn't satisfy me I would need to take it elsewhere. Why should I need to take a BRAND NEW vehicle somewhere else to get tinted because you can't do it properly? AVOID AT ALL COST - or - IT WILL COST!! Took my car in for service. It's a known Chevrolet issue ( shift to part) so it shouldn't be a major deal, they've had to have seen this before. Btw - there is a class action lawsuit against Chevy as they will not recall it.Of course that isn't Midway's issue. The big issue with Miday is their repair charges. 1) $195 to diagnose. This is with or without repair being done. This charge isn't disclosed until they have the keys and the car and you have been waiting. 2) $185/ hr for repair ( no idea about part costs). I thought dealerships have a basic repair guide on estimated hr to repair - maybe not. Again, cost not disclosed until asked 3) No shuttle service. Would be good to know at time of appointment. 4) Sparse waiting area. Not a deal breaker, just sorta lame. I could write more but I'll just say: I declined the "service". I took the car elsewhere. I'm spreading my experience by writing reviews about Midway. I will contact Chevrolet directly on the known issue. They're a big corporation and can easily ignore me - what's one person's pain vs. Chevy's profits? As for Midway - I will be certain to spread the word of caution. I called @ 1:50p..."service advisor not available, will leave him a message". I explained I've been waiting ALL day, nobody has contacted me about anything! I need to plan for a ride if it's not ready! I need to know the status as I pick my daughter up tomorrow for the week...and currently have NO vehicle. Ridiculous that NOBODY is available...not 1 single person, ALL day!! I had a frustrating 10-day experience at Midway that ultimately sort-of got resolved but it took some pushing. I took our 2011 Suburban to Midway for routine maintenance, it was running sluggish. $4500 and 3 days later I brought it home. The next morning when I started the car, the engine had substantial ticking, and I noticed one of my hubcaps was missing. I took it back to Midway, they had it for 5 additional days and diagnosed that I needed a new engine. They called it a coincidence, my car being older. I feel it pointed to either a botched oil change or issues with spark plug replacement, but I had no proof. After some additional conversations they offered a few alternatives. We decided to trade in the now broken Suburban for one in their used inventory, and while it took some additional (and unnecessary) pushing on my part I feel they gave a fair price for the trade in even though the engine was bad. But I still had to eat the $4500 which was tough. Despite the circumstance everyone was courteous and professional, especially on the sales side. Marcus was a big help, enjoyed working with him. Communication from service was challenging - tough to get hold of them for updates and they didn't share all the details of the engine with sales, leaving me to have to explain it to them as i was negotiating price. Would like to see sales and service work better together in situations like this so the customer feels more valued and taken care of. read more

After 40 years of car purchases, I now get what people are complaining about with car dealerships. Worst auto purchase experience ever at Midway Chevrolet. I've been a customer of Midway for over 25 years, but I will never purchase a vehicle from them again. Totally lied and did bait and switch with my trade-in. We made a deal on trade-in and price, signed the buy sheet, and we're all set. Now just waiting for the truck. My trade-in was a truck with a lot of aftermarket accessories that were not included in with the sale (they knew that and didn't include them in the price). It took quite a bit of time and money to remove them. Now the fun part: I go to pick up my new truck and suddenly in three short weeks (and only 150 more miles on the truck) my trade-in is now worth $4000 less. They knew that since I had removed all my accessories from the truck that it would be a real pain to exit the deal and to reinstall them, so I was stuck. Oh, and their reason for the lower trade-in value? We were close to the end of the model year (What? We weren't close to the end of the model year 3-weeks ago?). Bottom line: you can't believe any number they give you when you make a deal because they won't honor it. read more

Whoaaa, where do I begin? Grab a drink and a seat because this one is long! I made an appointment for 7 AM for my check engine light to be looked at and advised the service department that I would be waiting. I arrived early and when Devin approached me, we went over the issues I've been experiencing with my Malibu (check engine light, stereo issues and windshield wiper water spout not working on passenger side). He noted everything and then showed me the cost for diagnosing EACH issue: $195.00 times THREE and advised me IF my warranty was going to cover each issue, the $195.00 would be waived but if they didn't, I'd be responsible for the cost?! Well, I cancelled the water spout and stereo issues and focused on the check engine light instead. Devin asked if I'd be waiting and I confirmed I would be...his response was, "well, I'm gonna need the car for several hours" and I asked if there was a shuttle or transport to my home and he said, "No, we don't do that." So, I said I'd wait as long as I could and proceeded to their waiting room. While I sat, I overheard 5 other customers either ask for rides and/or a rental. Each time, the service rep replied, "sure, let me get a ride for you" or "yes, we'll work on getting you a car"...I'll admit, I have no idea the capacity in which the other customers were there or the role the employee(s) played at Midway but to hear those conversations bothered me. By 9:50 AM, I approached the Service Manager and expressed my disappointment and concern over what I'd been hearing. He confirmed they do not provide rides and rentals and courtesy shuttles are provided to "commercial" customers but assured me he was going to look into what was going on. When he returned, he said he spoke to "every service agent and they all confirmed they did not offer rides to any of there customers but I may have overheard the fleet, commercial or tire customers". Needless to say, this manager said, "But I can offer you a ride so you don't have to wait...let me arrange it for you." An office staff member approached me and advised me that Lyft was on their way, they picked me up and I went home. The next day (understandably, parts were needed, ordered and arrived the next day), Devin called to advise the parts arrived, they were currently working on my vehicle and it should be ready by 4:30 that afternoon. Approximately 10 minutes later, Devin called again and advised me that my car battery was dead and that they charged it but it was surely not a functioning battery. Confused, I explained it was a new battery that I recently purchased so how could it be dead and was looking for an explanation when Devin simply said he couldn't explain it either but offered me a new battery for $380.00 and that did not include the deductible for my warranty, the difference in retail cost my warranty was not going to cover (Endurance basically believes Midway is overcharging), and "hazmat" for repair orders. Total was going to be upwards of $700.00. Not knowing what else to do, I approved the replacement but immediately contacted my husband to keep him updated. After 3 hours of trying to contact Devin or any manager, he was finally able to advise Devin we would not be accepting their battery and would need a jump start when we picked up the car. Devin agreed. Here's where my decision to never return to Midway was solidified! Upon our arrival, the total came to $926.18 and our out of pocket was $317.86. We paid the balance and reviewed the receipt while we waited for staff to jump our car. First, we noticed the lights on the car were on so curiously, I attempted to start the car and guess what? It STARTED fine!!! But, I turned off the car and allowed the tech to "jump" the car (wink, wink). Second, the receipt showed $89.93 in "misc. charges" and I was astonished to see in addition to the "hazmat" charge, they also charged the Lyft ride to me! So much for the managers "sympathy" and generosity because had I known I was going to foot the bill, I would've arranged the ride MYSELF and he could've saved his bullshit for someone else! In conclusion, my car started up fine again this morning and again when I made a Dutch Bros run a moment ago. I'm pretty confident there was nothing wrong with my "dead" battery and almost got conned by a dealership that is obviously in the business of scamming their consumers for an extra buck! The ONLY nice thing I can say about this establishment is my check engine light is off and the electrical system is like new! To anyone who's made it this far in my review, heed my warning...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! They have TWO stars for a reason!! To Midway Chevrolet Service department, you got one star because negative stars aren't possible! ...and Josh S., save your breath - there isn't ANYTHING you can say or do to make this better for Devin, Jon or any other member of your staff. Last visit I had an inspection , oil change and tire rotation . Two days into My 1800 mile trip with my 40' trailer . I was notified by my truck the radiator fluid was low . So I pulled into the nearest gas station opens the hood and found the oil cap sitting on the radiator. The radiator fluid was about 3/4 gallon low too. So I took it into the nearest dealership and had the oil changed again and all fluids checked and replaced cost me another thousand dollars. Don't use this place . My family and I decided to go car shopping yesterday. Mostly inquiring just to look around and see what kind of deals were out there for Black Friday weekend. We stopped at Midway Chevrolet, and were greeted very professionally by Israel. He is a great salesman, easy to talk with, very humble and personable. Unfortunately, as most car dealerships do, the sales manager Alex decided to come over and get involved, and from there our experience was nothing but negative. Alex presented himself as a very arrogant, condescending individual who basically came back with a higher price, then shoved a piece of paper to us on the desk and said here sign here. We will no longer go to this location because of his arrogance and actions. I felt so bad for Israel, he did not deserve that, and that's no way to run a business. read more

Yesterday my husband and I went to this dealership looking for a car that we had seen on their website. They had the vehicle listed for 34995 and it "supposedly" only had 459 miles on it. Pretty much brand new. We met with Cody the sales person who was absolutely wonderful. Allowed us to test drive the car and sat with us while he crunched numbers with his manager. The manager came over and showed us the piece of paper with all finance stuff. Cody had printed the car fax-so I told the manager (Edwin)I was not paying what was listed due to the inconsistency between the mileage on carfax and what they listed. He immediately offered to take 2,000 off and once we were said and done we'd be financing about 32000. We wanted to look at one more car and we explained that first thing when I got there. We went to a different dealership and test drove another car- number crunched with them but their price was coming up to 36000 and so we decided to go with what Midway had offered originally. After lunch, we drove back to Midway and spoke with Cody again. His manager (Edwin) brought over ANOTHER finance paper that looked completely different and somehow had an extra 8,000 added to it. Edwin apologized but said he previously messed up the numbers when entering them into the system and so his calculations were off by 6000. My husband and I told him that was not really our problem- we actually SIGNED the piece of paper that was for 32000 and so that was what we willing to pay. He said he wouldn't budge. And so we left. We went back to the other dealership and had a much better experience. If I was Cody I would've have walked out on my job. Edwin is a complete idiot. read more

Same as others below. I've called inquiring about a specific vehicle but it wasn't in stock. Was offered to put a refundable deposit on one with no eta. Since then i was called no less than 15 times. Each time I informed the sales associate I was waiting for a specific vehicle and to only call when it was avaible. A few of the sales associatee deemed it funny to talk $hit, threaten me or just play phone games. I was then contacted by an individual sales associate days later stating they had one and to come test drive it but it wasn't the model I wanted, or color so I declined. Repeat the barage of phone calls. I've called management requesting me to be removed from their lists to no avail. Word of advice, don't shop here. What a perfect example of why no one likes a car dealership. I set an appointment and was given an offer for my car over the phone, so I came in when I was told and the individual had left for the day already after they scheduled an appointment with me. A different person offered me almost half of what I was told when they asked me to drive out there. They were surprised when I got up and asked for my keys to leave. DONT do business here, and don't waste your time with any of the terrible staff. What a way to do business. Second time I've ever been to a dealership, I went in looking for a Chevy or GMC and they immediately brought over a ford... I was confused and didn't really pay attention to what they were trying to sell me cause... i asked for chevy they brought me ford... then after I said no to the ford they told me they've got some dodges that I could look at and I have to remind them a few times just Chevy n GMC. then they brought out a chevy and immediately brought up financing when I had already told them I was just looking. I understand it's y'all's job to sell the vehicles but when I am physically showing no interest in this vehicle it means I don't want it. I didn't even want to ask for more options cause they didn't seem to really care what I wanted the first time. soooo definitely not coming back :/ read more
