We tried the Original Tori Paitan and Truffle Tori Paitan. The original was pretty good, and the truffle one had a strong truffle flavour. The thin noodles fit my liking--neither too hard nor too soft. A little bit on the salty side, but most ramens are. The chicken was super tender, almost too tender to taste like real chicken. We also tried the appetizer sampler - Gyoza, Chicken Karaage, and Takoyaki. All were standard yummy. The purple yam fries were a pleasant surprise, especially the dipping sauce, which was sweet and sour, quite refreshing, just a bit pricey. Service was good. The place had sufficient space and looked clean too. Food (quality, creativity, consistency) - 4/5 Drinks (quality, variety) - NA/5 Ambience (interior design, cleanliness) - 3.5/5 Service (courtesy, knowledge, timeliness) - 4/5 Value (quality vs. price) - 4/5

Went to this new place that opened up at Vaughan Mills. We got that TanTan mian & the signature. Overall noodle texture was good but broth was just okay. The chicken karakage was really good, however for 8 -10 buck we only got 2-3 pieces...

What a wonderful experience! This is probably the ramen place we were looking for and have found the best one in Vaughan. Instead of pork broth, they use chicken broth! They messed up one of our ramens, but I don't blame them since there are three of them that are named the same with just one word at the end that was different. But even then, it was delicious and worth the mistake! Because it made us try a different broth (instead of two Shoyu's, we got one Shoyu and one special) The lady that was working there was very humble too and apologetic about the mistake, which we were fine with. She also explained the menu to us when we came in and helped us decide our choices. The overall restaurant was extremely clean and looked really pretty. Overall, an amazing experience for a soft opening.

Brought my mom here the other day. She's typically one to be a little picky but she really enjoyed her ramen here. Service was very prompt. The space was nice and clean. They had run out of thin noodles when we went and advised us of this after ordering but we didn't mind too much. I think in the end my mom might still have gotten thin noodles like she wanted though. She ordered the signature ramen, I ordered their on special dipping ramen. I would definitely come back and also recommend.

Came here on an early Sunday evening and had the delicious black garlic ramen - a dish I feel Midori has really perfected! The broth was super flavourful and I loved how much the black garlic adds. We got a set and the fried gyoza and karaage was also delicious. The whole restaurant was full and service was quick. Would certainly return if I'm in the area.

I've gone here a good few times and honestly, I think it's one of the best locations. It's spacious, cool and clean. Service is quick and attentive. My brother and I came in during their anniversary when they were having the BOGO. I ordered the black garlic and he ordered the signature original. This visit was genuinely the best and the broth was nice and creamy. The chicken was also fantastic and overall the ramen was perfect. We also ordered karaage on the side which was nice. It's not dry and the perfect amount of crispy. Our bill came to around $50 after tip and tax. Genuinely looking forward to the next time I come here as I was genuinely impressed with this visit.

Learned about Midori through an invite, but I genuinely love it and visit often. I don't eat pork so I was so excited to see an all chicken-broth (tori paitan) ramen place in the GTA! Broth is super decadent, creamy and rich. Go for the Red Spicy (medium) & Spicy Tan Tan Ramen. Great portions that are very filling. Modern and pretty space. Quick, friendly and attentive staff. What a great addition to the area! This visit was my first time trying Midori and what a treat it was. First off, they use chicken broth as their base in all their non-vegetarian ramens and their vegetarian ramens are made with cauliflower. I love a rich tonkotsu and it's usually my go-to but Midori's chicken broth was excellent and didn't have me missing pork at all! The favourites flight was a great appetizer! A little bit of everything, perfect for when you can't decide. The service was great; our server was really friendly and helpful with going through their menu offerings and letting us know about some of the items unavailable at the time, to help with any decision making. There's lots of parking available but if you're looking to come with a large group, it looks like they can accommodate up to parties of 6.

I tried their trademark Tori Buta Paitan ($19.49), but I was disappointed in the broth. The taste was off. While pork slices were good and the noodles were ok, I'm never coming back to Midori for ramen.

The pork char siu slices were very thin, and for the price, it didn't really feel worth it. Flavor-wise it was okay, but nothing beyond expectations. The chicken karaage was even more overpriced. $9.2 for just 4 small pieces - so basically ~$2.5 a bite, not worth it. Overall, it didn't really aligned with our expectations. We thought it was in a corner of the plaza so the price would have been reasonable, turned out that it wasn't really. Probably wouldn't revisit. Spicy white sesame shio (4/5) - I thought the flavour was good except the meat was a little lacking. Black sesame tantan (3/5) - This was probably the weakest out of all the ramen we got, not bad but also not too good. Stone bowl shoyu (4/5) - This one had the best flavour and there were lots of toppings. There's less broth compared to noodles though so if prefer more soup, then this might not be for you. Service was quick and food came out fairly quickly after placing the order. Not a big space but there's enough tables. We went during lunch and it was empty.

The service is top here and the owner of the restaurant is so funny and nice. Great guy to have as our server! My only one call out was the food smell in the restaurant was fairly strong since the kitchen is right next to the seating area so all of our clothes smelt like food after we left. Food: - Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen: 4.5/5 stars. Totally forgot to take a picture of this, but it was really good. I really liked how the Ramen was not oily. The soup base was very yummy. The noodles were cooked to the right texture and the meat was great. Everything was very flavorful! - pork tonkatsu: 5/5 stars. This was the best pork tonkatsu I've ever had. It was fried but not oily and it came with three individual huge slices for only $15. MUST TRY - grilled gyoza: 4/5 stars. I'm not the biggest fan of dumplings so I'm not the best indicator of how good these are but they were very good! definitely will be coming back!

There were only two staff members on the floor at first, with a lot of people waiting and many empty tables that hadn't been cleared. It took about 45 minutes to get seated for a table of two. Another staff member came in later which definitely helped. We ordered the original ramen, which was ~$8 during the promotion, and shared the karaage, also ~$8. The karaage came with 5 pieces and was very juicy and tasty, though slightly pricey for the portion at regular cost. The ramen was good. I liked that you can add unlimited deep fried garlic and chili powder to customize your bowl. You are also ablee to change the broth but it costs an extra $2.50 (so I did not). The dried garlic was especially delicious and added a lot of flavor. The egg was good as well, although it was only half an egg. Overall, I enjoyed it, especially for the discounted price. At regular pricing, I think there are other ramen spots that offer better taste. But for a promo visit, it was worth trying.

The restaurant was at a busy location, which was the end of the driveway, everyone sees it before making a turn. The staff was nice when we walked in. We were greeted and directed to a corner table where was better with a baby. We showed them 2 coupons, 1 for ramen and 1 for fried chicken. The staff needed to talk to the owner about them. After a few seconds, she came back and said only 1 coupon per visit. We were a bit disappointed, because we were so hard to dine out with a baby, and not able to come again with a long drive and a baby. We talked to their owner, he was nice to let us try both at the same time. Oh yeah! So we have 1 original ramen with black garlic oil, and 1 tomato base. It won't take long to wait. The fried chicken came first, it was not like the breaded chicken, it fried from original, but after marinated; it has taste, but not salty. The 2 ramen came at the same time. They both really rich, but not so salty, because the salt level could be altered; the noodle size could be chosen as well, we did 1 thick and 1 thin. They both looked similar. Overall, the ramen and the chicken all looked good and tasty. I would like to come again if next time I come around this area, even though they were a bit pricey.
