Pretty decent spot. Huge menu. Typical diner layout. Waitress was nice. Christmas tree year around is great.

Greek Salad

A coworker and I stopped in for lunch mid week. The diner is large and spacious with good lighting and clean too. Looking for something I could cobble up as gluten-free, I opted for the Greek salad with grilled chicken. My coworker ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich with fries. The salad was huge! Another customer nearby asked what I had ordered. It was a bowl of romaine and iceberg salad with tons of mild feta, olives, cucumber and probably a whole pepper sliced up. The chicken was tender and almost shredded. Flavorful, fresh crunch and not over salted. The Greek dressing was mild and delicious. My coworker's Monte Cristo platter was also what he considered excellent. The service was fast and friendly. I would certainly recommend this diner to anyone based on my 1st experience.

Never been here before. It looked busy and like a nice place to eat, so we went there. It took a bit to get my coffee, but I survived. My chicken was a bit over done, but not bad, and they gave me a partial credit. Overall, the girls were nice, friendly, and we would return, if we were in the area.

Wonderful place to go

Home style comfort food. This place is very nice. They have a large menu and homemade desserts. The turkey dinner with stuffing was quite Hardy. It comes with soup or salad and two sides of your choice. It's a lot of food and was under 15 dollars.

Yep in For brunch fri end of March 2019 after work at dealership. I had the baked Haddock sandwich, side salad with ranch and chips. Now the fish was yummy but I took it off my bun. It was a HUGE hamburger bun. Just too much. Cocktail sauce and my fish was great. Ate my pickle and small coleslaw. I took the lettuce from my fish and made more of my salad plate! Hee hee. I love their homemade ranch ... so buttermilky. Bf had the dinner Greek salad. We did ask for the dinner rolls too. Then the sliced carrots they put on the salads here... asked for a small bowl of those with my left over ranch. Delish as usual. Thanx! Yes can u tell .. one of our haunts!! It's aug '19. Luckily today ( after sleeping in the lot) we just missed the bus load! They were just boarding yeah!! Came in for a nice leisurely breakfast with great coffee. It's the Carlisle Truck show this wknd. So it's a bit busier but I'll tell ya the food still comes out perfect!! The cooks back there are seasoned veterans boy!! Today I wanted their fantastic eggs Bene cause I love it so much. This and one other place ( in FL) are my favs. It's always perfect and NEVER have I had a wrong poached egg!! I'm a stickler about the perfect poached egg ( see pix). Bf actually HAD a breakfast today. Chopped steak n eggs. Yum. Our server is Morgan today. She is very pleasant and u fazed with how busy it was

Secondly, the new manager came in wearing heavy cologne, or body wash, that fumigated the front of the restaurant. He stood at the register the entire time we were eating, and the smell was enough to gag a maggot. It ruined the taste of our breakfast and the enjoyment of the moment for us. In general, we love coming here. Good service, good food and good price! Golden rule: If you work in food service you don't wear perfume or cologne as it can ruin the atmosphere and the flavor of the food being eaten.

The next thing was my sever. Her personality was very dry . Now listening to the rest of the staff. That is not the norm. Today I ordered the senior Haddock. That came with a drink and dessert. The fish was cooked to perfection. And the tapioca was freshly made. If I had to make any comment on the food it would be my soup was overcooked. Now setting at the counter I saw a lot of different dishes coming out of the kitchen. There was not too much that i saw I would turn my nose up at. This place was swamp. So I probably saw it all. So I'm sure with their menu they will have something for you. Do I recommend this place..,, Yes it's diner food. My meal was above average. I liked the overall value. It's beats the local competition down the street. At least compared to my last visit there.

The part that made this different was our waitress Shana. She was attentive, professional and probably one of the best waitresses we've had in a long time. We went a a slower time but I think this is how she is all the time. Nothing else about the restaurant stood out. It's the same decor, casual dining with good food. I was disappointed in the hash brown casserole. It was dry and not the normal creamy yummy texture. Stop in a say hi to Shana though!

We didn't have this up north. Well, the novelty's over and I'm ready to move on. Today's breakfast was eh. Cracker Barrel's coffee is weak. It always was. Grits were grainy -- which is good -- but hard and tasteless (which isn't so good.) Biscuits were dense, cold and what I'd expect from a day-old store. Eggs easy over were over hard, but they were readily replaced. On the plus side, pancakes are pretty good. Since I was disappointed with my breakfast (and I don't suffer in silence) my husband shared his with me, hoping it would shut me up. (It didn't.) The staff is very nice in Carlisle. The bathrooms are clean, the shop stocked with the usual Cracker Barrel tsotchkes. The food ...... I may be more critical than the typical CB patron. Judge for yourself.
