Roast Beef with 3 sides (coleslaw not shown)

I have to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Cracker Barrel, but my husband is!!! But we stopped for dinner after a doctor appointment on the area and had a very pleasant experience. Our server was very friendly and accommodating and the food was served hot and was very good. The chicken tenders were actually very meaty and not all breading, my husband said his roast beef melted in his mouth. Quiet atmosphere yesterday as we beat the dinner crowd. Overall it was very good!!!

Sat quickly, but waited several minutes before a server even came to our table. Ordering and they are OUT of hash brown casserole. How does Cracker Barrel run out of hash brown casserole? SMH We go to CB often bc the calories are clear in the menu. It makes decisions easier. However, this is the first time that we have been to this location...not overly impressed. Service was slow. Mashed potatoes were bland and obviously reheated...texture was way off. Plating was very sloppy. They forgot my broccoli when they brought my meal out. Overall, subpar. Seemed a bit noisier than other locations too.

Cracker Barrel is a chain restaurant located off most major highways. This one happened to be a bit of a longer drive than what I am used to however, we still decided to go with it for our lunch enroute home from our trip. We were seated fairly quickly. We had a very attentive waiter. I decided to go with grilled chicken tenders along with a side of vegetable soup and carrots. My husband had the 4 vegetable plate entree. He did offer us a choice of biscuits or corn bread. I chose the former. The front of the restaurant is basically a country store where you can purchase anything from clothing to foods to cards and even body cream. They always have certain merchandise exclusive to the area you are visiting. On the table is the famous solitaire pegboard game and a checkerboard for two sits near the fireplace on a barrel. We got the entire meal at once. The vegetable soup was hot and had the right amount of vegetables to it. I enjoyed the grilled chicken tenders, They weren't too heavy a meal and was just enough for me. My husband always enjoys the country vegetable plate so he can pick out his favorites. I decided to pick up an Amish hand cream and paid for it when we went up to the registers in the country store. All forms of payments are accepted. Grocery stores sell gift cards to the business which you can use at any location. This Cracker Barrel is located near the Carlisle exit of the PA turnpike near Harrisburg. Friendly and warm service. The outside has the rocking chairs both for sale and to relax in on a nice day.

Very good Cracker Barrel, friendly service, simple comfort food for a lunch break while traveling. Our server was Ashley who was processional and a pleasure to deal with. Easy off I81 and a very clean property.

Fantastic location! I am always disappointed by the location near where I live, so I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Carlisle location while traveling through. Service was fast and friendly. Eggs are mostly the same everywhere, but the French toast was made well, tasted fresh and was soft! (Stiff French toast is the worst.) I'll certainly be thinking of this location on my next trip through!

Belgian Cafe Bruges…read more(I'll bet you pronounce it wrong) is what you get when someone made a wrong turn at NYC and ended up in Carlisle - and thankfully so. Belgian is a culinary experience, and the Flemish part has some very decent dishes - but those beers, those are the things that most people find out about the hard way haha. I'm not much of a beer guy but I do love me some moules frites and Steak Frites or really, just about anything and frites... and the Belgians have perfected these dishes - and so have the fine folks at Cafe Bruges. I had to wait until later in the week as it does not open until Wednesday. I popped in on a Thursday and there were plenty of seats at the bar - perfect. The bartender was there to greet me and she set me up with some menus and gave me a few moments to decide on a drink. As beer is not really my thing, i found a decent glass of Côtes du Rhône to get started with. The menu is decent sized and I wasn't completely famished, so I went straight for the steak frites. Myself, a fellow diner sitting next to me, and the bartender (her name was Brooke, by the way) decided it should be med / rare in case the kitchen was off by a level. Turns out the kitchen was spot-on with the medium rare, and this bad boy was just fabulous both in the way it was cooked and seasoned. The accompanying shallot-parsley herb butter and the green beans were both perfect. I literally cleaned the plate. Had a second glass of wine, and when it was all said and done, the visit was just a great experience from start to finish. Great service, conversation and food- what more could you ask for? Definitely give them a visit even if you have to drive over from elsewhere. Street Parking

I did try to make reservations, but they only take reservations for parties of 6 or more. It was pretty loud, which I was surprised by, but once we got settled it got easier to hear everyone. We had a great time and I excited for my next visit.

Today wasn't a good day. The breakfast was great except for two things. Got my toast and there…read morewas a tiny spot of butter on some of the toast and none on the others. Secondly, the new manager came in wearing heavy cologne, or body wash, that fumigated the front of the restaurant. He stood at the register the entire time we were eating, and the smell was enough to gag a maggot. It ruined the taste of our breakfast and the enjoyment of the moment for us. In general, we love coming here. Good service, good food and good price! Golden rule: If you work in food service you don't wear perfume or cologne as it can ruin the atmosphere and the flavor of the food being eaten.

The next thing was my sever. Her personality was very dry . Now listening to the rest of the staff. That is not the norm. Today I ordered the senior Haddock. That came with a drink and dessert. The fish was cooked to perfection. And the tapioca was freshly made. If I had to make any comment on the food it would be my soup was overcooked. Now setting at the counter I saw a lot of different dishes coming out of the kitchen. There was not too much that i saw I would turn my nose up at. This place was swamp. So I probably saw it all. So I'm sure with their menu they will have something for you. Do I recommend this place..,, Yes it's diner food. My meal was above average. I liked the overall value. It's beats the local competition down the street. At least compared to my last visit there.
