Incredible atmosphere! Server was very kind and caring. Seated outside on a very beautiful floral couch with a nicely crafted spruce table. Snow falling outside, was very cozy! Felt like a hallmark movie! Ordered a steak and it was delectable. Overall a very remarkable experience and would definitely recommend to my fellow business partners in my corporation.

Our entire meal was delicious . Great presentation with unique and flavorful sauces. The bourbon honey mustard sauce with the fried chicken was terrific . Natalie our server was friendly and informative with great food recommendations!

I came here for brunch and service was great. The food was fine, nothing special. I think the overall Southern influence on the menu is quite minimal. No grits on the brunch menu at all is miss. The Cajun Benedict came with very little jambalaya and had maybe 2 pieces of sausage. Overall tastes like a regular Benedict minus the meat unfortunately. The complimentary beignets that were served lacked any flavor and were just oily dough.

Beautifully decorated both inside and out, we loved the vibe at Gigi's. We sat on the porch and noticed all the Southern details such as the chandeliers draped with Spanish moss and their sign with flowing water. Our server Natalie, a recent PSU grad, was terrific and made sure to take care of us. We started with their chipotle deviled eggs which were great to share as there were 4. The onion soup was also delicious and not overly salty or cheesy. Gigi's Signature Shrimp and Grits had plenty of blackened shrimp, and the tomato and wilted spinach added to the grits although I would have liked a little more spice/heat. The Mascarpone Ravioli were also a hit as was the Bayou Blackened Steak. A lovely evening in a unique setting.

Ask the Community - Gigi's Southern Table

What's the outdoor seating like these days? Is that even a thing in February?

Sorry, no outside seating, unless you want to sit outside in your car. The food was great. Just look at some of the pictures of the food

What's the dress code? Business casual? I'm driving 3.5 hrs and most likely won't be able to change from our "road trip outfit". Too casual? Here on yelp it's considered Classy but the prices look very inexpensive.

Business casual is great ! Not too casual ... we drove up from PHL twice for football weekends and also a graduation weekend and were in biz casual clothing and were fine.. people were actually in nice shorts and polos ..

Would anyone recommend this for a small Sunday brunch bridal shower?

Depends on what you mean by "small." if you have 10-12 people, then I think it would be fine. But notify them and make reservations first!

The atmosphere hits you right away. Dark wood, old school charm, the kind of place that feels like it has stories in the walls. It is cozy, a little dim, and exactly what you would expect from a spot celebrating a century in business. The menu is not huge, but it does not need to be. It leans heavily into comfort food, with plenty of sandwich options, but enough variety that most people will find something they like. Prices are fair, nothing over the top. I started with the soup of the day, a sausage gumbo with rice. It was flavorful and satisfying without being overly spicy or heavy. A nice warm up, especially on a rainy day. For my main, I went with Bobby D's famous beef chili topped with cheddar cheese and green onions, served with cornbread. It came out in a cast iron skillet, which was a nice touch presentation wise. Portion was solid, not massive, but definitely filling. The chili leaned a little sweet, which I personally enjoyed, with just a mild kick of heat and a lot of flavor. The cornbread was excellent and tied everything together. This is not a fancy place, and it is not trying to be. It is a comfort food spot that knows its identity and sticks to it. Great for a casual meal, especially if you are in the mood for something warm and satisfying. I would absolutely come back again. Next time, I might even give those sandwiches a shot since that seems to be their bread and butter.

I had a great lunch with an awesome Rueben and shoe string fries. Home made corned beef on an excellent marbled rye. FYI The fries were a little cold. I also considered biscuits and gravy but they don't serve home fries after 11:00, odd for a breakfast all day place. The banana bread French toast also caught my eye so I grabbed a slice of banana bread to go. Service was fast and friendly Prices are in line with the "new normal", sandwich and a drink was $16.

The ambience was bright and clean. Pricing was reasonable. Our server was new and attentive to our experience. The food was OK. My wife asked for her Florentine eggs Benedict to come out hard and they were soft. She had to send them back to the kitchen for additional cook time. My eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and the ham was good and the highlight of the dish. The hollandaise sauce however was watery and on the cool side. The hashbrowns were average. The star of breakfast was the corned beef hash, simply top notch. We will return for a second experience.

The menu was great and service was quick, then we ordered the burrata as an appetizer. Mentioned the nut allergy in our group and the server had said that they can't guarantee anything in the kitchen is safe to eat although some menu items didn't have nuts on them. The menu also says this, and maybe it's unfair to give this spot a four but in my experience restaurants shouldn't be mixing items in their dishes and there are pretty good safe serve/allergy friendly practices out there to follow and I've never had any issues. This is the first time I got a response at an American grill that they can't serve anything. Maybe it's just new to me and they're being extra cautious which is not wrong, and this place came highly recommended so I'm sure it's earned more stars, but would love to hear opinions on allergies and places that don't have "safe" serving spaces for nut allergies. Even the creamery had a nut free station
