Located in the Penn Stater and Conference Center Hotel. I got the Penn Stater burger. Awesome, great burger!!! Fresh bun, half pound of yummy medium well burger, nice thick bacon, and delicious grilled onions. Had the appetizer of fried potato skins, stuffed with pulled pork, and bacon. Topped with cheddar cheese, and sour cream, these were delicious!! When in State College, another trip to Legends is a sure thing!!

Well what can I say, this place turned out to be awesome. It's inside the hotel, but worth going. I got chicken tortilla soup to start and that was good. Then I got the Ruben sandwich with a salad and that sandwich was off the chain! (Ie. very good). Even though not the best I've had, surprised to get that taste in this town, so gets the points! The portion was A good size too and filled me up. Seems like the burger has good reviews and will be back to try it for sure. Had a nice quiet atmosphere during lunch and a small bar. A tip for any pastrami or Ruben sandwich: go lite on the sauerkraut, you'll be able to actually taste the meat.

I come here every year for a cofference I attend. We have the same waitresses every year and they are a blast. Food is always consistent and the atmosphere is great. I would like it if they were open past midnight, but that's the only reason I have it 4 out of 5 and not 5 out of 5

Classic Burger.

A great place to grab a bite. We just happen to be here for a conference and we ate multiple meals here over 3 days. I loved the numerous items on the menu and I was never disappointed. The servers were attentive and made excellent recommendations. From salads to sandwiches to wings and full dinners, you will not be disappointed. I am looking forward to coming back for our next conference here. Enjoy

Service was friendly and attentive :) Food was pretty good, our parents loved the pastrami sandwich special. My man liked his Prime Rib and the Spinach salad was yummy. Best thing on the menu is for sure the Oatmeal Cookie dessert drink!

The food here was delicious! We kind of ended up here on a lark and were blown away by the food and the service was great. The flatbread of the day was out of this world as an appetizer and the entree was maybe the best I've ever had in State College. Highly recommend!

Cat Black is the greatest waitress ever! Took incredible care of our party of eleven. Good food. Huge portions, too.

Food was good and reasonably priced. Good beer (Ottos IPA) on tap, kids menu, fast service, friendly staff. No complaints here!

A quaint spot with…read morea classic look the Horse has friendly staff and a parking area that is easy to get in and out of. The recent menu has a great diversity of options ranging from salads, sandwiches, and entrees. I elected to go with the Birra ramen, not something I would expect to find at this establishment or in this neck of the woods. I was knocked back at how good it was. The broth had rich flavor and the right amount of spice, not enough to burn your mouth, but warm it up and tingle your lips. The beef was tender and cooked to perfection. It hit the spot on a chilly winter night. If you find yourself in the gap and looking for spot to grab a good hearty bite to eat and drink, the Red Horse is your spot!

We started with fried pickles and they were good..I'm not much of a pickle guy. I had the old fashion burger with froes and a side salad. Burger rocked and the fries were amazing. The side salad was top notch, my favorite dressing orange vinaigrette. My wife had the french dip and loved it. My daughter and her best buddy "E" shared the smashburger and burria taco dishes...they loved it and were stuffed. Thank You Mikayli for the wonderful service and such a friendly server.

There is no reason this place shouldn't have a 5 star rating!!!!…read more My husband and I stopped in on a Friday night - the Friday before valentines at that! We sat at the bar and despite how packed it was, our service & speed of our food and drinks was amazing! We asked for our burger to be split & they even plated it separately! We can't wait to be back!!!

I was disappointed with our most recent visit to The Field…read more We were here in January and had an excellent experience. The service was spot on, the food was cooked perfectly, the burgers were very tasty, the criss-cut sweet potato fries with hot honey and vinegar salt were fantastic, and the shakes were delicious. That first visit was memorable enough that we were excited to come back. This time, we waited about 50 minutes at around 5:30PM on a Thursday before graduation weekend. Honestly, that part was understandable, and we were prepared for a wait. We had a nice booth for five and ordered table fries, a few shakes, and five burgers. The fries were still excellent, and the shakes were great. Unfortunately, the burgers and service did not live up to the previous visit. My burger tasted more like stewed meat than seared beef, almost as if it had been sitting for a while. It was overcooked and under-seasoned. Our server was pleasant enough, but several sides, condiments, and modifiers were forgotten. Waters were never refilled, the table was not cleared, and a salad that had been misordered was not removed from the bill. I understand it was a busy night, but at around $40 per person for food at a burger place, I expected more consistency. I'll give The Field another try the next time I'm in town because our first experience was so good, but this visit was a letdown.
