Proprietor was really nice about letting us know about their allergens when I asked since one of us is allergic to tree nuts (they don't use any nuts at all, including peanut and coconut). He was also super nice about not charging me for extra sauce even though it's listed as an extra charge on the menu; all the prices are pretty fantastic. My whole order was under $11. About the only complaint I have so far is that there were no paper towels in the bathroom. I got the dal makhni special with two roti, and it arrived in under 10 minutes. It had a really nice spiced flavor and was perfectly hot (temperature- and spice-wise; it's worth noting that I seem to have a notably higher spice tolerance that others, since one of my friends also got this and found it too spicy. Maybe get some yogurt sauce or a lassi). Sauces were really good as well. All in all, no notes, had a fantastic experience; I need to come back to try the samosa chaat bowl.

The restaurant is small with some outside seating but ambiance is limited -- more of an eat and go kind of spot. Pricing is comparable to Mezeh, Roots, Playa bowls and other similar "healthy" options. Most menu items range from $12-14/each.

But for pork being a salty meat, we felt we needed more just to give it some flavor. The brisket texture was OK and had a decent color and smoky flavor to it, though it may have been slightly overdone, as it was very dry. If I were to describe the flavor it would be Jack Link's Beef Jerky. The sauces were, to be blunt, not great. The mustard based sauce was pretty much just mustard. There was a ketchup based sauce that didn't offer much else. There were 2 other sauces, neither of which paired well with the 2 meats, and frankly I'm having a hard time even coming up with words to describe them. A way to improve would be a vinegar based sauce for the pulled pork (Carolina style), and offer up a reasonably spicy sauce. The biggest issue was we felt like we were chasing flavor and unable to find it, even mixing and matching sauces and meats. Prices were very reasonable for the quantities of food.
