Didn't think I could finish it all, so I mentioned I'd take half of it to go and eat half to stay at the tables inside the shop. They kindly pre-wrapped my to-go half in an aluminum and paper sandwich wrap with tape to hold it, and plated the half to stay on a small paper plate with plastic fork. Very kind to do that even when I said I'd be happy to do it myself with a to go wrapper. I ordered the cheesesteak with peppers and onions and a dash of vinegar and oil. The beef cheesesteak was similar to a flank steak cut chopped into easy to bite shreds. My cousin ordered a chicken cheesesteak with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, shredded lettuce, thin sliced tomato, and mayo. The chicken seemed to be mostly white meat chopped into easy to bite shreds as well. Good selection of local sweet flavored teas and chocolate milk from Ritchey's Dairy in Martinsburg, PA, and Coca Cola soda products in the coolers to choose from. Locally made chips from Middleswarth in Lewistown, PA. Total for 2 Single 12" Hoagies & an Iced Tea just under $18. Payment accepted in Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Apple Pay, and Cash. I really enjoyed the Club Sandwich and my husband the Mushroom Swiss burger. The chips are great and we held the Horseradish sauce to dip our chips in! Winner in our book! This place is perfection. My wife and I went to the express for the first time for our anniversary, and we could not have been more impressed. It was our first time there and the food and service were excellent. It all seemed to come quite naturally to this family business as they work for the common goal of a very satisfied customer. Stopped in to celebrate Grandpa's 86th birthday and it was awesome! Food was great, huge portions too. The service was incredible, so friendly and accommodating. This place is AMAZING! I just wish there hours would be better they aren't open very late but the sure make up for it with their food. I highly suggest getting the brisket. Most items are smoked and they are done right. They follow all Covid rules so they are Covid safe. read more

The brisket texture was OK and had a decent color and smoky flavor to it, though it may have been slightly overdone, as it was very dry. If I were to describe the flavor it would be Jack Link's Beef Jerky. The sauces were, to be blunt, not great. The mustard based sauce was pretty much just mustard. There was a ketchup based sauce that didn't offer much else. There were 2 other sauces, neither of which paired well with the 2 meats, and frankly I'm having a hard time even coming up with words to describe them. A way to improve would be a vinegar based sauce for the pulled pork (Carolina style), and offer up a reasonably spicy sauce. The biggest issue was we felt like we were chasing flavor and unable to find it, even mixing and matching sauces and meats. Prices were very reasonable for the quantities of food.
