I couldn't help but grab an Apple baked good, tiramisu, and baklava. The tiramisu was absolutely perfect with a great consistency and taste. The baklava has slightly less honey than I'm used to but was worth getting. My friend absolutely loved her blueberry scone, it was soft like butter and had a good flavor. Came in here on a snowy cold morning and this was the absolute best spot for a day like this. The atmosphere is really homey and the food is so comforting. My boyfriend and I drove here in about ten minutes from state college and so it's not a far drive from the downtown area and definitely worth a try. We had the cheeseboat and beef burek and they were both so delicious. The bread is so warm and tasty in the cheeseboat and the pastry dough in the burek is so flakey and delightful. We also took a pistachio cake to go and it's divine! Will definitely be back for more. If you're a student at penn state and want to try something different than most options in town, but still comforting and yummy, try this place! The owners are also so very kind! read more

I am always in search of new breakfast places and this place had popped up on Yelp. I had the Cheeseboat with bacon (Adjaruli Khachapuri). I had to wait for about 15 minutes. The bread for this was nice and fluffy and warm and the cheese was plentiful and very tasty. The place was empty for a Friday morning at 715 am. I did look at the dessert case and there were a number of desserts that I would have liked to try but it was a little early in the day for me. You order food at the counter and they bring it out when ready. The place is not very large and has a few tables and a counter along the wall to sit at. read more

This place was really interesting and I was excited to try it. There aren't very many vegetarian options. Their pistachio cake was decadent and seriously one of the best pieces of cake I've ever had. This small cafe has very tasty Georgian food! I ordered the baked chicken turn-over, a small cup of Pelmeni soup and Borek Bites filled with mushroom and potato. The pastry dough that surrounds the baked chicken and the bites was flaky, tender and delicious. And the soup was a beef wonton based soup in a potato and carrot broth. The broth was so flavorful and the potatoes in the broth were diced small which made them very tender. I am definitely going back for that soup, it was delicious! I am eager to try some other items. The have Khachapuri, an egg and cheese dish in a bread boat that gets rave reviews, so I will try that soon. The owners are so nice, as well, and let me sample another soup which was also yummy. This cafe offers a rare opportunity to get food from the post-Soviet region in the middle of PA. The owners of the cafe are from Kazakhstan and make food from countries all over the region, including Russia and the Republic of Georgia. As someone who has spent time in the Republic of Georgia, I can say their khachapuri is tasty and authentic. They also have carefully crafted pastries with origins beyond Eastern European (Napoleans, tiramisu, baklava, etc). The owners are very friendly. read more

The food here was delicious! I had the cheese boat with spinach. The pastry was flakey and buttery and there was so much ooey gooey cheese with a still runny egg on top! Large portions, I only ate half and was able to take half home. We also got very authentic and yummy baclava to take home. My compliments to the chefs! Stopped here on our way to state college and quickly decided it will be our new routine to have breakfast here whenever we drive though the area. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Of course I stopped in wanting a cheese boat and I must say you can't go wrong with one. The filling was cheesy, warm and gooey the crust was chewy, crunchy and so fresh. It was like a pizza and an omelette had a baby, but at the same time it was like nothing I'd ever had before. I will have dreams about it. We also got a Georgian cheese steak to share which was equally delicious and unique and I would 100% get both again. I can't wait to come back and try more things. My only regret is not getting some pastries to go! The owners were also so kind and helped to teach us the right way to eat the cheese boat, which was so appreciated. They seemed very kind and I truly wish them the best because I want to be able to stop here for years to come because after having a cheese boat I don't want to live in a world without them! read more

Really wonderful- the khachapuri is delicious and filling and the pastries are great! Personally I really enjoyed the beef chebureki. If I'm ever here again I'm eager to try the soups. We heard the young man working the counter explain some of the pastries to a customer, so don't be intimidated if you don't know the names.
