The cafe is very vibey. The lights are dim with lots of art and decor and lamps set around which still makes it a reasonable place to work. I had a French toast latte. It was good but definitely more coffee flavor than flavor French toast flavor. I had the pecan tassie which was so buttery and gooey. It was delicious and I would go back just for that. I went on a Thursday morning and it was extremely full. A nice lady let me share her table until one opened up but if it is regularly that full I don't know that I would be back. read more

I ordered the Smoked Salmon BLT on Naan (minus the B, which they offered to add more salmon) and it was rye-rolling good. To help finish my coffee, we ordered the scratch-made French Apple Cake. Where do I even start... terrible service, overpriced mediocre food, dusty crusty atmosphere. We waited 30 minutes for a to go bacon egg and cheese. Not one worker updated us or said anything the entire time we waited. Finally receive the sandwich and the Kraft single they slapped on it wasn't even melted. Furthermore, they allow animals in the cafe which is unsanitary and such an allergy risk. The place is cluttered with junk and everything needs to be dusted. Coffee is just okay very sweet not a strong espresso flavor. Will not return. If you're in the state college area go to sowers harvest it's significantly better and the service is fantastic. read more

Today I went here to do some schoolwork where I could get a coffee while I'm doing it I wasn't really sure what to expect when I went there. I knew it was going to be small and the person I went there with called ahead to see how busy it was and they said it was not busy when we got there. It felt pretty squeezy. We sat in the back corner, but that was our own choosing they didn't see you and didn't expect them to then we ordered our coffee and it kind of took a little while. I don't feel like a coffee place should take that one lit wasn't super busy either the coffee was good. I got a special winter latte iced latte and it was good. I'm not the biggest coffee drinker, but I do like iced lattes typically whenever I get one the only thing I can complain about is how small it is because of how small it is even though it wasn't super packed it was very loud if you don't like being in loud places, I wouldn't recommend it if you don't mind being in a loud café I think you'd be a great option to go and spend some time by yourself or with a group. read more

This place is so cute and and such a vibe. I am not from here but live here for college and they remind me of my small hometown. The breakfast is delicious. Not overpriced because this is a small business and WE SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES They aren't just pumping out orders like a fast food chain would which means they take their time and put effort into their items. I came after the great power outage of 2025 and luckily they had power. I ordered an iced French Toast Latte and my was it DELICIOUS. So delicious I came back the next day and they remembered me! Excellent coffee shop in a wonderful area. I stopped in today for the first time and was not disappointed. Cafe Lemont has convenient parking in the back, and a charming feel inside. The ceiling is covered in delicate parasol light fixtures and the walls are decorated with local art and books. Many people were working on their computers when I stopped by midweek. As for food and drink-- I ordered a dirty chai that came out perfectly spiced and topped with foam and a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The egg on the sandwich was as fluffy as a cloud and the chai flavor was a dreamy treat. Will definitely be coming back soon. read more

This is a great little spot for coffee and a quick snack or bite to eat. We stopped in the morning and got an iced coffee, iced caramel latte and hot coffee all were delicious. I got a sausage egg and cheese muffin and my friend got a scone and both were really good. They also had cookies and brownies as well as other options for breakfast and lunch. The staff were very friendly and our food and drinks were ready quite quick. We were unable to sit inside but did glance around and it was cozy with lots of art! A very nice little place to get lunch with most things made in house. I got the vegan chili and chicken pesto sandwich. Both were tasty and was fairly portioned. I assume the other items would be worth a try and I would return to try other things and at least just go for a bowl of chili! Seems like people like their coffee too, but I didn't get to try any... I'm such a sucker for a good, cozy, welcoming coffee shop with lots to offer. This place is really great. Located next to a big ol barn with some great, open outdoor space is this friendly shop off the beaten path just near State College. A perfect spot for a Sunday morning brunch date which is exactly what we were having. We noticed a bunch of customers in football Jerseys too. Perhaps a shot of espresso before a crazy tailgate or a pick me up after a night celebrating one? They offer over a dozen loose teas named with character. My favorite name was Pan's Enchanted Forest. I had the Snow Angel! It was yummy and had pink peppercorns! Way cool! They have an impressive amount of syrup flavors. The most I've ever seen in fact. They use local Meyer milk and you can see the empty glass milk jugs on the way in which I thought was so sweet. Even for a non milk drinker, the throw back to the days of the milk man were appreciated. It reminded me of my Mom Mom who used to have the wrought iron case attached to her stairs for her milk delivery. They also offer non dairy milks as well as a full fixings bar complete with raw sugars and simple syrup. Espressos any way you could desire, even soda form and chai too. They have drool worthy piled high pastries. Huge chunks of gorgeous cakes, brownies, blondies, house made granola and cookies too. I bought an M&M scone to take home to the kiddos and they loved it! They offer a daily soup and quiche. They have traditional bagels sammys, lox too. Simple items such as edamame and pb&j so bring the kiddos! Interesting sammys such as sourdough with pesto and cheddar or pesto, cream cheese and egg. They have a few veg options. I am actually knocking a star off because of the daily lentil soup which was gluten and dairy free containing chicken stock. It kind of made no sense to me and was a big bummer as it sounded amazing until I read that ingredient. That soup could've been just as tasty with a nice veggie or mushroom broth instead it left vegans and vegetarians out when if made with the meat free broth, I don't see meat eaters NOT eating it if they were going to anyway. Major menu fail. Other than that we were pretty happy with everything. They have a mini market for last minute pick me ups for locals and fun to go options in the fridge such Shirley Temple sodas we brought back to the girls. I've never seen them sold this way! They were a hit! There was outdoor space as I've mentioned before as well as an amazing umbrella clad ceiling in the cozy dining room! It was so neat! Check it out even if you're getting takeout. They're also super green here and offer real dishes which I appreciate. Service isn't fast, but we weren't in a rush. I saw a "regular" use a punch card so if you're coming back often, ask for one. Cafe Lemont, built out of a house in downtown Lemont, has the homely feel of your living room with the scents of a coffee house and the food of a small cafe. Perfection, dare i say it. The seating is perfect for individuals or couples looking for a nice escape any time of your. I'm here on a rather calm Sunday, from what i can tell from the other yelp reviews. With a large menu compared to the size of the kitchen, they put out some great homemade food. Although there are a few excellent breakfast restaurants in the State College area, this one is by far our favorite. We stopped for breakfast just before heading back to Nashua. The food here is what I would classify as "healthy." Their cappuccino and cafe latte are done perfectly. All of their breakfast dishes are excellent. If there is a downside, it is that the portions are on the small side. We sat outside on the porch this trip and our breakfast was very memorable. We will return many times to this great restaurant. read more

This is my favorite cafe in State College. The ambience is cozy with a mix of comfortable chairs and small tables. It's usually not too difficult to find a place to work; although it's not always super close to an outlet. The drinks here are fun and tasty, including London Fogs with lavender syrup; Rose Milk Tea; and year-round Pumpkin Chai Lattes. It's also fantastic that you can get a "large" in-house drink; whereas many other cafes in the area only have one size for in-house drinks. Additionally, Cafe Lemont is open until 6 pm on Sundays! Rothrock closes by 2 pm on Sundays, so it is great to have a local, comfortable writing spot on the weekends. Undergrads typically don't go here, so it tends to be a bit quieter. read more

The interior is charming and definitely cozy. Our group opted to sit on the porch since we wanted to catch up with each other and most everyone inside were on laptops and appeared to be working. So, if you plan on chatting, be aware of that! We ordered sandwiches and the hummus platter- veggies with the platter were nice and fresh, and the hummus was garlicky, yum! Not sure if they use local produce, hopefully they do. Chicken salad sandwiches were just okay; they had some seasoning that didn't appeal to the two of us, but it wasn't overwhelming. Our other friend commented that the salmon BLT was a bit skimpy on the salmon, but not having tried it I can't say for myself (sad they use Atlantic salmon when wild caught is SO much better and available locally) We all agreed that the "sourdough" bread all sandwiches were made on was pretty disappointing. Very chewy, almost stale textured, and very little of any sourdough flavor. Not a win. read more
