We were stuck in a kind of covered porch to eat, rather than the actual picturesque old tavern rooms. A sort of long closet with windows. I will not tell you the tale of the 20 minute mystery of the unopened wine bottle. You wouldn't believe me anyway. It is a beer and whisky kind of place. I traveled 45 minutes to experience this historic tavern restaurant. I do not regret it. I embrace it. Trials build character.
