This is a quaint old building with antique decor which has several different smaller dining areas as well as a bar. Service was courteous and friendly and everyone had nothing but good things to say about the food. My sirloin steak was cooked to order and very tasty. The parking lot is small but there is plenty of street parking and the road the tavern is on has very little through traffic

Cute outdoor patio for a lovely day! Dogs welcome! The wings were top notch! The salad was fresh and tasty! Service was quick and friendly! Would recommend no sauce on pork chop. Salmon was well cooked

    Rest of salad.

Ambiance was very good. Chairs were a little low to the table. But the room felt historical with a nice vibe. Service was good. Food was below expectations. Especially the steak salad. Meat Chewy, greens lacking, dressing average, and ingredients very strange. Do not recommend this selection. Crab Bisque was good, French onion soup was good. Overall, we just expected a better experience.

The soup rocks. Tavern like experience with a really nice menu. It's good. Yards is also on tap. Don't see that too often.

In the area for business and a local suggested this place for the best ever wings and burgers. We sat outside and the service was fair, I tried to order a glass of bubbles but the server didn't know if they offered that outside of a specific cocktail, she was happy to bring me water instead of finding out. We both ordered pretty healthy entrees and we ate every bite, my chicken was under seasoned but it was still cooked perfectly. My husband's grilled pork chop was also cooked perfectly, served with carrots and potatoes. The patio was super nice and spacious with comfortable seating, we enjoyed ourselves overall.

It is a gem. Ask to be seated at the porch. Start with Sierra Nevada hop magnum and finish with apple crisp.

Everyone says: go ahead Frank, just order, we trust you (i love these people). Minimal criteria: Convenient and delicious enough (given the expectations bar appropriately set for the region), and variety for people who each want something a little different. TY Yelp, Kokoro looks promising. placed a take-out order, and given Saturday night of Big Ten Wresting Championships, order was ready and delivered just fine. The food is good enough, hand rolls, egg rolls, ramen bowls, chic wings, and def don't pass up on the Avocado Kokoro, deff tasty (too much sauce, but just fine). Def worth an order, you won't be disappointed, if you accept the geographical frame (we're in a college town, not a major metro China-town).

The bbq pork tasted like it was microwaved from a cheap tub in the grocery store. The broth was bland. The egg was not marinated (like a real ramen egg). The noodles tasted old. The dumplings were chewy and had a weird after taste. The food was generally sketchy, and i stopped eating halfway through. The service was confusing, but nice at least. The inside was basically the bones of the previous restaurant, whatever that was (the hut pot- maybe? Judging from the old podium hidden in the back. The good reviews have to be fake. Nuff said. Don't do it. Go anywhere else.

The Greek omelet was light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The Pesto-Port Egg Sandwich was simple but absolutely delicious with a perfectly cooked egg and great pesto. The Balsamic Garden Avocado Toast was as beautiful as it was tasty, with fresh ingredients, creamy goat cheese, pickled onions, and a rich balsamic glaze. The Spicy Mango Sriracha grilled naan was incredibly unique--the sweet and spicy combination worked perfectly. The fresh-baked pretzels are a must-try! We took home several varieties, and they were warm, soft, and some of the best we've had. Even the latte and biscotti were excellent. On top of the amazing food, watching the staff handcraft and bake the giant pretzels right behind the counter added to the experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and the service was fast despite the café being busy. If you're in State College, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Fresh ingredients, creative menu, outstanding baked goods, and genuinely kind people. We'll definitely be back!

If I had noticed the condiment station sooner, I probably would have added some mustard or hot sauce. The space was a little tight inside, but they did have an outdoor seating area. Very quaint with a bit of a farmhouse decor. The coffee was good. The staff were actually quite exceptional, but it's still just a small cafe in a weird little section of State College.
