Eggs Benedict with home fries (get the tots instead)
    David M.

Cute, small place off the road from Huntingdon and State College. Has the "locals" vibe. Service is attentive and friendly. Eggs benedict is decent. Good, but not great. Skip the home fries and go with the tots. The home fries seemed more like the leftover burnt hashbrowns and nothing close to home fries.

The menu is creative and a little different, the food is very tasty, the service is great, and the outside patio is a great place to eat with your dogs!

    Eggs Benedict (allegedly)

Service was fine, but my Eggs Benedict was awful. The english muffin wasn't toasted, the ham was just a couple pieces of lunch meat, the egg was overcooked, and the hollandaise sauce was as thin as water with almost no flavor. And all that for one of the highest prices I've ever paid for the dish.

This place was delicious! The service was fantastic! Our waitress was super nice and wonderful! The banana bread French toast was delicious, creative and inventive, but it sort of felt like just a warmed up piece of banana bread. I think to get the full French toast experience it should but cut thinner so it can really soak up the batter and get that crust on the outside. Heads up, if you order it- that's literally the only thing on the plate, no whipped cream, berries, garnishes etc. Overall good experience here

We moved to the area recently and many people we spoke to mentioned the Naked Egg. In retrospect I think they were using the place as a landmark rather than ever recommending the place for eating. But because of all the cars parked there on occasion, we got the impression that it was a trendy spot (???) so we had breakfast there once a few weeks ago. The place was a bit empty but service was very slooooow. The "vibe", which I saw mentioned here, was like an old luncheonette. Looks like all the furniture was leftover from when it was an ice cream parlor decades ago, or picked up at an auction. No warmth or great smells, or interesting decorating - it was drab, dingy, shabby. Not shabby-chic, just shabby. The food matched - drab, tasteless, a little cold, and way too expensive for the plainness of the menu. What the crowds are there for, I know not. I'd prefer my own breakfast at home. Oh how I wish Watkins Dariette was still there. Great soft ice cream, delish burgers....

Breakfast is our families favorite meal of the day so we're always looking for great places to enjoy. Starting with the Irish combining scrambled eggs with salmon, this dish was excellent. Lightly scrambled eggs with flaky salmon creates a delicious combo that goes well with the side of toast and the cook Naked Egg did it well. The Western combined the traditional green peppers with onions done exactly right tasted very good. The BYO's made to order were also very good. The spinach side is made with rich tasty leaves steams yo perfection. Hash home fries are also an excellent side that were light and tasty, a dish that many restaurants will over butter or oil making the soggy but not here. Lastly, the banana bread French toast was a home run. 5-star for this place. Waiter was attentive, and seating was fast for the crowd on a Saturday morning. Oh and if you want to look at the menu, don't rely on the pictures of menus past. Instead follow the link to their online menu and see the latest creations. https://qrco.de/bbhtvF

We were on the road and every breakfast place was only open at 8am, Naked Egg was open at 7am, had good reviews, and pictures so we checked it out. Great discovery! The menu had some unique items like crab Benedict's and banana French toast. They were flexible enough to create an omelet with crab meat, cheese, & tomato which was excellent. Our waitress Rachel Lynn (ironically same first and middle name of my wife ) was friendly, knew the menu and even swapped our coffee when it wasn't hot enough. My Rachael had biscuits & gravy and a latte that was very good. Their coffee is unique as well so don't feel you need to go to a coffee shop. Very good experience and highly recommend the Naked Egg!

The food is amazing. The wait can feel long, but I remind myself that it means my food is fresh. I got scrambled eggs this time, but I actually got over easy the time before and prefered those. Both taste amazing, it's just easier to eat on toast as a whole egg. The tots are nice and crispy. I gave my bacon to my boyfriend, but I have been told it is also amazing. Definitely try to orange juice, it is the best I have had!

We have been so excited to eat here waiting YEARS to come at a time it wasn't packed. It was worth the wait, and now we know the secret is to come at opening. I had the Irish which is smoked salmon scrambled eggs with grilled sliced tomatoes and toast. I added the Scotch Egg since I chose such a healthy breakfast. It was savory and the mustard went perfectly with it. Family went with other options including the Cinnamon Roll Pancake. She loved it. The icing swirl sure looked good. Even better than the food was the service. Our waiter was a joy. We highly recommend this adorable cafe.

Webster's has a fantastic book selection, and I really don't think I've ever seen prices as cheap as theirs. The bookstore is huge, and there is always something I find to buy. They have an enormous selection of folio editions, a huge Civil War section, and manage to keep cheap paper backs to a minimum. They have occasional events and sales, such as buy 3 get one free, or when a donor drops off a huge stack of books they often put them out at sale prices. The owners are also so so nice and really love books. They will do whatever they can to help you find something you're interested in. I am in love with the space. Piles of books everywhere, sort of chaotic organization, winding bookcases and hidden seating areas - all they need is a cat! You can reserve tables for meetings, but you can also just grab an open one. I actually have never eaten AT the cafe, but I've had their catering quite often and it is really delicious food.

I was impressed by the young barista's skill in making a latte to my preferences, and it was really nice to weave my way around the shelves to see what an algorithm recommendation would normally miss. Not sure about the food, but the book space and coffee are on point.

The menu was great and service was quick, then we ordered the burrata as an appetizer. Mentioned the nut allergy in our group and the server had said that they can't guarantee anything in the kitchen is safe to eat although some menu items didn't have nuts on them. The menu also says this, and maybe it's unfair to give this spot a four but in my experience restaurants shouldn't be mixing items in their dishes and there are pretty good safe serve/allergy friendly practices out there to follow and I've never had any issues. This is the first time I got a response at an American grill that they can't serve anything. Maybe it's just new to me and they're being extra cautious which is not wrong, and this place came highly recommended so I'm sure it's earned more stars, but would love to hear opinions on allergies and places that don't have "safe" serving spaces for nut allergies. Even the creamery had a nut free station

I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance. Day of I came in and they separated my table into three different table bc they "forgot". The waitress rolled her eyes every chance she got. 2nd time: valentines days. I came with my girls. The waitress said "so are yall going to eat or what" and had sooo much attitude the whole time. 3rd time today. My friend's bday. We had a group of nine. One of my friends needs ada accommodations he moved from one side of the table and the waitress was very upset and said "omg you moved". They forgot to put half of our tables orders in and half of our group had to take their food to go. They didn't give us any utensils for desert I had to get up and go the host station and grab them from the bin myself after trying to flag down anyone for 15 mins. We were then called "impatient" for trying to get pens to sign our checks. The waitress said "it's not like I want to keep you here any longer". I'm not sure what to do at this point I don't think I will ever be back. Be sure you have a lot of patience before you come here.
