S3. Hot and Sour Soup

This felt like a warm hug on a fall day. Glad I was there for the lunch special which was perfect. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the menu but you can choose from a few different appetizers and main dishes that come out in great timing and portions. Things are well marked for the spicy options (though I think my kung pao shrimp which was marked spicy was maybe a 2 out of 5, mind you I like spicy) Good variety of options for everyone, clearly grouped for meat, seafood and veggie which was nice

My kid just started summer session at PSU and loves Chinese and found this place a while visiting this weekend she had to take me. Service was amazing. Very attentive and quick for food to come out. Very large menu selection with a lot of options and all that we ordered was great. Nice little place to sit and eat with large sized portions that are great for sharing. Would highly recommend.

Authentic Szechuan food in State College. I was not expecting the heat so be cautious when eating. Great service and a friendly staff.

My son is having the pork fried rice and I am having the double cook pork belly. Yummy

The food, and service was absolutely amazing. I would easily recommend the food here and I have been eating Chinese food since I was a young kid. You won't go wrong here.

What a gem! We had hot sauce fish, chicken with peppercorn, and string beans. Great portions for 3 and had lots leftover to send w son back to dorm. Scallion pancakes were a little too crisp - we will try the spicy wanton or tofu dishes next time. The Chinese tea can be stronger.

好吃小贵但量大,每周来一次。My review has to be more than 52 Letters. So it basically means good quality, little bit expensive but you also get a decent amount of food.

A10. Dan Dan Warm Noodles with Minced Pork

Service was amazing - our waiter was so sweet and accommodating. Portions are very big - we took home so many leftovers. Definitely ask for some extra chili oil if you like it because it was delicious! Cucumbers were crunchy and amazing. Parking is super easy as there is a parking lot. Will definitely be coming back!

We were visiting Penn State University and found this authentic Chinese restaurant. They are very popular so we waited for about 20 minutes but it was worth it. Also, it took them about 20-30 min to serve all foods, but foods are amazing. They have some foods that nowhere else offer like duck tongue. And the flavor isn't good

Most places around here have catered their flavors towards an American food palette and is usually underwhelming. Yummy Cafe is not afraid to give you authentic dishes. I always get the eggplants with garlic sauce and it is always consistently delicious. The ma po tofu is sweet and spicy but the spice does not overwhelm the dish. The only thing that was lacking were the sesame balls but they were also REALLY good. The red bean paste was just a bit dry. I think one thing the restaurant can improve on is their menu, only the take out menu has the right prices. But, the waitress is really nice and made our experience at the restaurant pleasant. In regards to the ambiance, the interior design is a bit old and could use an upgrade but I think it bring authenticity to the overall experience at the restaurant. Overall, I highly recommend checking out Yummy Cafe. I come here all the time and every time the food has been amazing!

My party was seated right away and the server was so nice and attentive. All the food looked delicious but I went for my go to Sichuan favorites: cumin beef (or lamb if available), sautéed string beans, and steamed egg. The food was delicious and was exactly what I was going for. It may not look like the nicest place on the inside but the food is truly authentic and amazing. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

We shared three dishes - beef stew, drunken noodles with tofu and beef ribs. They were all really good. The ribs were meaty, slightly sweet and fell off the bone. Served with a sunny side up egg, spinach and rice. There was an egg with the stew as well and it made the dish feel silky. The beef seemed slow cooked and the basmati rice went well. The tiramisu was solid, light and airy and very pretty plating. Service was a little apathetic, but the food was good enough to offset. Reasonable prices too. Would definitely go back if we lived here.

It is truly incredible and has ruined other ramen for me because of how good it is. I compare every ramen I get to it and they never measure up. If you do not really have a tolerance for spice, you can ask for it less spicy. We also got the chicken and duck rolls, both are very good. I do not know if there is a menu item in this restaurant that's bad. The seafood explosion is delicious and so is the popcorn chicken. We've had the cheesecake, the truffle bomb, and the lava cake, once again, all amazing.
