I really appreciate the speed and the willingness to bring more free chips! Normally I go straight for the tacos, which are always a hit. The specials on the back of the menu are SO worth checking out for some more unique finds. Today I tried a torta (forgive me forgetting the menu name) with birria that was absolutely fantastic. The combinations are also a great price, especially if you can make it for lunch. Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't also mention the happy hour. You can get some great deals here and they have an excellent drink selection. Alongside the alcoholic beverages there are also non-alcoholic smoothies with the same flavor options as daiquiris, so great options there too!!

Plaza Mexican is a cut above most. The decore is eclectic, walls covered with a zany mix of brown gunite-like gravel, white and silver tile, faux brick, etc.--a definite Aztec vibe, I believe. We went there with one of our toddler grandsons and our daughter. We ordered table-side guacamole, enchiladas, street corn, fried plantains, and a novel Philly cheesesteak burrito. Well our little guy loved the guacamole, eating almost the entire bowl. For the adults, it could've used a lot more lime juice, and seasoning. The street corn was okay, but could have been sweeter. My burrito was a cheesy mix of lightly sautéed green peppers, onions, and queso cheese. I was slightly disappointed with the meat. It was definitely ground beef, and I expected more like a minute steak. But it was an interesting dish that I would probably order again. The menu said it had mushrooms, but they were hard to find. I washed it down with a draft Negra Modello. Our grandson and daughter liked their enchiladas. Our server was pleasant and on the ball; she gave us excellent service. You're lucky to have the plaza in town. I know it has been in business quite a while and they do a great job!

This is a cozy spot to visit and have some good eats and drinks. It does get busy on gameday weekends so best to get there early. It's worth the wait. Staff was super friendly. Missed the waitress's name but we'll be sure to look for her next time we're there. We were there for a brunch before the first game of the year. So you had your choice to get breakfast or lunch. Food was very tasty along with some cocktails. I chose a manhattan cocktail for an ode to New York for 9/11 along with a double cheeseburger and fries , my wife had a grilled cheese and we split some brioche French toast as a dessert. So damn good ! Check it out at the corner room!

Our local PSU friends told us to make sure we visit the historical venue and we were very happy we did. Dane, our bar tender, was welcoming, friendly, and professional making handcrafted cocktails for us. He was very informative about the building and downtown State College. We really enjoyed his history of the Prohibition era in downtown State College with the connecting tunnels to each restaurant/bar. Next visit to State College we will definitely dine at The Corner Room based on Dane's welcoming and fun atmosphere. While we enjoyed happy hour we noted numerous families (prob PSU student families) all enjoying dinner. Cheers.

It was perfect for two and not too sweet. I enjoyed a buffalo chicken wrap with tortilla chips and a side of salsa while she got a Caesar salad with buffalo chicken. My husband also asked for his chicken cheesesteak in a wrap which they accommodated. Everything was good, but the word on the street is, as soon as you can, ask for your check as the servers sometimes disappear at length after your food is served. That did happen to us.

So after a night of merriment at a bar, we decided to meet at Cafe 120 for brunch. Awesome outside cafe-style seating, but with a group of 12, They offered the rear patio as we both, didn't want to take up so many tables and, one of our group had a wonderful Black Lab. Our server was outstanding and I cant believe she memorized drinks and orders for 12 people and delivered flawless service. We started the lunch with skillet fries that were superb. The drinks came afterwards with plenty of beer, Long Island Ice Teas in individual pitchers, and several cocktails. The main courses came right afterwards. Iv had the chicken tender platter. While the fries were superb, the chicken was something out of a frozen grocery box. Flat, almost molded. Otherwise it would have been a five.

The bar tenders were friendly and discussed the menu at length with us. When the second part of our party arrived, they immediately seated us at the time of our reservation. We were able to change to a more comfortable table because some of our party had had a knee replacement and were uncomfortable at the original table. Our waiter was charming and friendly. He provided exceptional service throughout the course of our visit. All parties enjoyed the food. Most thought it well worth returning. Further, my meal was amazing. Pics are included with notes below. We recommend the steaks, shrimp and grits, and the steak salad. And maybe an original sin or 2. A great place to celebrate with friends and family. Highly recommended.

Edible, but missing a lot of flavor. (Was it pork or beef? I couldn't tell) Mashed potatoes were ok. Weird mustard seed in the gravy just didn't fit. And the sprig of rosemary? That was worthless. I should have had the steak salad. The Manhattan for after was good As was the apple jar with ice cream that seemed to redeem the night. Easily big enough serving for two. It made up for the pork. Was not cheap... so... that hurt the rating. We sat outside, which was good on a nice night. Interior seating looked nice. Would return, but would order something else for my entree.
