GuDong Classical Plan with Pot Package A Spicy Soup Base (Rice cakes and fish cakes plate not from restaurant)
Leah L.

Ordered delivery through GuDong's website ($1.50 fee). The two of us ordered one regular set with spicy/sichuan base with the pot ($42). Plenty of food for both of us. Great packaging and great quality. The veggie box was a lot bigger than i expected. Definitely will order from here again.

KPot is truly a gem! The atmosphere is modern with urban vibe decor. It's a cool place. And the service is excellent, from beginning to end. Our server helped us select our broth and gave us newcomers a lay of the hot pot land. You can order your hot pot add-ins by tablet on table-- and the food comes out without delay. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which our tablet selections were delivered to the table. Now onto the food and drink. We ordered the strawberry lemonade and regular milk teas. The strawberry lemonade was sweet but not overly so- very refreshing. And the kiddos reported that the milk teas was delicious. Now- onto the hot pot experience, which was so much fun! For broths, we tried the tomato, miso, and the spicy tom ka gha, which were all packed with flavor. Yum. KPot has a wide variety of meats and add ins for your hot pot. We tried the ribeye, brisket, beef tongue, pork, lamb, shumai, goyoza, octopus, eggplant, ramen, potato, and udon noodles. The beef tongue and the lamb were my favorites. But there was much more to try, we really only scratched the surface. I should also add that along with the all you can eat hot pot, there is also a little buffet with appetizers, desserts, and sauces. The kiddos enjoyed the freezer with ice cream options. KPot offers an all around well done hot pot experience in a cool atmosphere with fabulous service. I am certain we will be back next time I'm in the area. I'd say it is absolutely worth a visit.

Since this weekend was one of those times, we chose Melting Pot since it had been a while since we were there. We've discovered that the entrees where you use oil or broth don't work for us, so we decided to just have the vegan cheese and chocolate meals. It also was fairly late in the evening, so we didn't want too big a meal. The service is friendly, but the vegan cheese fondue was incredibly salty. Our server tried to cut it with a little extra cheese, but the flavor still was more salt than anything else. The chocolate fondue was delicious, but if you're veg, you're going to get just fruit. (I guess the other items normally served with the dessert fondue aren't vegan.) That's fine with me, as I love just about any combination of fruit, nuts, and chocolate. The table we sat at was odd, with my boyfriend's seat against the wall dividing booths. And it was a bit tricky reaching the pot from our seats. Also, unless you're there often, it's pretty easy to get lost in the maze of rooms. I hope Melting Pot can fix the salty vegan cheese issue. It's a nice experience otherwise.

Most places around here have catered their flavors towards an American food palette and is usually underwhelming. Yummy Cafe is not afraid to give you authentic dishes. I always get the eggplants with garlic sauce and it is always consistently delicious. The ma po tofu is sweet and spicy but the spice does not overwhelm the dish. The only thing that was lacking were the sesame balls but they were also REALLY good. The red bean paste was just a bit dry. I think one thing the restaurant can improve on is their menu, only the take out menu has the right prices. But, the waitress is really nice and made our experience at the restaurant pleasant. In regards to the ambiance, the interior design is a bit old and could use an upgrade but I think it bring authenticity to the overall experience at the restaurant. Overall, I highly recommend checking out Yummy Cafe. I come here all the time and every time the food has been amazing!

The food was delicious and was exactly what I was going for. It may not look like the nicest place on the inside but the food is truly authentic and amazing. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!
