Typical diner vibe. Staff last was a little rude but they were also busy. Food was also typical diner. Cost was great though.

My partner and I happened to pass by this place on our way to a wedding and I pulled a U turn at the next light to go here. We love old fashioned stainless steel diners. This particular diner is beautifully maintained. There's even old table jukeboxes at each table that still work! I ordered sausage gravy and biscuits and an order of scrapple, which I've never had before. The food was good, and while scrapple isn't quite my thing, it was an interesting meat pancake to try out. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you're into nostalgia Americana.

We used to love going here! So glad we decided to try it this morning! 2 waitress keep it flowing for sure. Where else can you get s cup a coffee for $1.35? Good food and old time charm. Fast friendly service and really decent prices!

This place is great! Fast, friendly, authentic diner service. The food was good, the price was right, and there are some superb food options here. Ask what's home made (most of it) and what they recommend. The prices for all of the lunch specials just can't be beat. I got a staple menu item which was the Wolf Burger....1/4 lb. cheese burger with onion rings for $3.50. That's a good deal. Next time I'll add bacon to it, though. Also had some of their home made soup (chicken and rice) which was very good. Can't beat a bowl of home made soup from a diner and as I already said, the service was extremely fast. Keep patronizing these places or we'll continue to get overrun by fast food chains. Wolfes Diner is a classic! This is a local place where they know everybody's name and the regulars don't have to look at the menu. CASH ONLY, though, so stop at an ATM first.

I commute from the great white north to south of the Mason-Dixon so this is a weekly stop along that route. Let's set the stage--it's an honest-to-goodness real stainless steel diner built by O'Mahoney in 1955. It's pretty much original and unmolested since the day it was built. The wear marks on the counter Formica are a testament to this establishments longevity I always get breakfast and it's always great. The price is embarrassingly low so I usually leave a tip equal to the price of the food--you should too. The staff is THE MOST FRIENDLY and accommodating I've ever experienced. If you're in a hurry, you can be in and out in 20 minutes. In summary: great diner fare, poverty pricing and service that's beyond phenomenal.

Been passing this place for years. Old school diner, food is cheap and good. Clean and plenty of parking and seating outside.

Rotten lettuce throughout the salad-- started pulling out the rotten pieces then realized it was all like that...

The food was awful and the service was worse. We ordered coffee to start. One cup came with full lipstick on it. Husband sent it back. I was pretty grossed out, but used a straw on the next cup. Still trying to give it a chance. We got a burger and requested pepper jack cheese instead of Swiss, a salad, and broccoli salad. The salad and broccoli salad came first. The broccoli salad was limp and soggy, obviously aged. The burger came and had rancid tasting Swiss on it instead of pepper jack. Took one bite and just couldn't eat more. Our waitress was grumpy and disappeared, we had to wait a while to pay so we could just be done with this place. We did not complain because there was no point in it. We did not want something else from there and we were not trying to get free food. We will not be back. Management should really try to improve things.

Now, years later, my wife and I would pass by the new 81 diner and would always say we needed to try it. We'll, today was the day. We stopped in for lunch, and aside from a gentleman waiting for his to-go order, we were known as the customers. I guess not a lot of people eat at 3 in the afternoon. The atmosphere was very nice. The tables, chairs and booths all fit the diner nicely. My cheesesteak sub was very tasty. Their menu said no substitutions, but they let me withhold the lettuce, tomatoes and onions, which I'm not fond of, so I'm glad they let me do that. Along that note, my wife ordered the BLT sandwich, and gave me some of the bacon, which was really good! Our friend George ordered the pizza burger, which also looked good, and he seemed to enjoy it. Their fresh cut fries were fantastic as well. If I had anything to complain about, it would be that the music being piped in was too modern for a classic diner atmosphere and wasn't something we were expecting. Hopefully that's something they will eventually change. Maybe next time we will stay long enough to try some of their desserts, which looked pretty good too. We will definitely be back soon.

I felt justified to leave 4-Stars but I'm leaving 5-Stars and the reason is that some slight changes could eventually be made. New Owners are working hard to establish and build up business. First, the inside is very nicely decorated and extremely clean Parking is perfect with plenty of spaces The dining staff were working fast and efficient, younger folks with very friendly and positive attitudes. Overall the Staff was Outstanding ! We only seen the Breakfast Menu, it was well planned and very easy to look over and make your selections. I was a little taken back at the cost of the Steak & Eggs, the Country Fried Steak and Ham Steak, both with Eggs as well, compared to other diners, it seems a little costly. The food arrived freshly cooked and hot, which is nice and we ordered the sliced fried potatoes, these need to be improved, no flavor, adding just a pinch of seasoning would take this many steps up. I had the Pancakes, Eggs and Sausage which were standard breakfast food. Deb had the French Toast, Eggs and Bacon, same standard breakfast food. This indeed is a nice little diner, I would bet they will continue improving as each day goes by. We will give them a try for lunch one day

We both went with the dinner specials, which were only 14.99 each and came with two sides. I ordered the ribs and my husband got the NY strip with butterfly shrimp. For the price, the portions were honestly huge. My ribs were fall off the bone tender and coated in a tangy BBQ sauce that had just the right balance of sweet and smoky. Easily one of the better diner style rib plates I have had. The fries were natural cut, perfectly seasoned, and had that ideal texture where they are pillowy inside with a light crisp on the outside. The succotash was simple but still good and comforting. My husband's steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and had great flavor throughout. The butterfly shrimp were crispy and paired really well with the steak. His side salad was super fresh with iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, and shredded cheddar. I did not even get a photo of it because he immediately dug in and loved it. The service really stood out too. Everyone was so attentive and quick to help with anything we needed like extra napkins or more sauce. It felt very welcoming and genuinely cared for. The interior has that true hometown diner feel where it seems like everyone knows each other. It is mostly booths with some tables and even a classic counter with stools, which gives it that nostalgic diner vibe. With both meals and drinks, our total was under $40, which feels rare lately for portions and quality like this.
