Great diner, lot of people . It's a trucking stop, has a lot of parking and a station behind it . Portions are huge and inexpensive. We got 2 coffee, coke, stake skillet, egg/backon , cheese sandwich with home-fry and fresh blueberry pancakes- total bill was $33. Great place to eat with family.

Chicken soup- really liked the abundance of corn on the bottom

It was late at night and thankfully this diner was open. We were seated right away and our waitress quickly stopped by. We were happy to see they had a special menu for those over '55'. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, my husband got the fried clams. Soup was included as well as a scoop of ice cream. My chicken soup was good as was my husband's crab soup. My spaghetti was ok but my husband really enjoyed his clam strips. The ice cream was really good. Our waitress was friendly, warm and checked on us quite a bit to make sure we were okay. And checking out was also quick and pleasant. Would definitely stop by again. Plenty of parking in front and on the side. They also have a pump station on the side. Very nice people.

We tried a wide range of breakfast dishes and they were excellent. The chipped beef gravy really made everything it touched better. The PA classic, scrapple made me feel like a kid again. I enjoyed the truck stop-style diner feel. There aren't many left but I'm glad this one was. Friendly, attentive servers rounded out the experience.

This is the kinda place I think my Grandma might've run - down-home cookin', decent portions, & good prices. Add all-day-breakfast & you've got the Hunterstown Diner! We decided to head out of town for a late breakfast while spending the weekend in Gettysburg and had a great previous experience here, so off we went. This is truly a locals-type place and has some great eats! We went for an afternoon breakfast (of course) and were not disappointed! Place was packed, but there was an open booth, so we were seated immediately. Server was attentive the whole time & we wasted no time in ordering up some comfort food - My Girlfriend went for French Toast etc & I went the Steak & Eggs route. Everything tasted fresh & came out in a jif! Yep - we'll be back!

I drove from NC to Gettysburg PA to go to NY to visit my best friend and her family. I wanted to go to Gettysburg for so long that it had finally happened and I made the most of the time I had there.. I was exhausted by the time I got to Gettysburg and I found a diner that was a truck stop as well. It was so cute inside and everyone was so nice and friendly. Plus the prices were amazing for the quality of the food. I would come back to the diner again

Food was cold, as well as some food descriptions not being accurate. Soggy fries. I used to love this place, but won't be coming back.

Jason is clearly having fun with the menu, and the spirit is contagious. My wife and I ordered the smoked carrot bisque (which is served in a sealed, smoke-filled vessel; chicken liver pate tartines, flavored with star anise and topped with an orange-apricot gastrique; an entree size roasted beet salad; and lamb ragu gnocchi. For dessert, we shared rum raisin ice cream topped with carrot cake crumble. Simply fantastic--and we had just come back from France a few months before! Nicole's service was so gracious and warm, we felt like old friends by the end of the meal. We come from NJ, but this place may be reason enough to return, and I hope we do.

I come to Gettysburg once a year for a big fundraising gala and it is the next morning that a whole group of us go for brunch here. The service is quick and efficient at getting he us seated with menus and coffee. They are good at informing us of any specials. And the food generally comes out for everyone at the same time. The food is plentiful, hardy and very tasty -so my husband and I typically don't eat again until dinner.

We were a party of 5. I got the breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage (it came with both). A lot of food for the price. I could've easily split my meal with someone. Some of our party got the crab cakes and were pleasantly surprised how good they were. (They were recommended by the people we met there.) One of our party got liver and onions and was pleased. Two people got the tapioca pudding, which I thought was an off choice for dessert, but they said it was the best they ever had and it was light and fluffy. I'm sure when we're ready to go for a country drive to a cute historical town, the Gateway will be a good place to stop for lunch or an all-day breakfast.
