CrEATe 48 is an extraordinary dining spot, thanks to the warmth and hospitality of Nicole and Chef Jason. The restaurant offers an intimate setting perfect for an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Chef Jason collaborates with local farms and butchers to create delightful farm-to-table meals. 5 STARS!

Chef salad. - Two salads featuring shredded turkey, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, and greens are presented on white rectangular plates. Each salad includes a slice of bread topped with butter or spread. Small containers of dressing accompany the dishes. The setting is a wooden table with utensils, a can of soda, and a glass of water visible.

Just had a lovely chef salad at Create today which was presented beautifully. A slice of toast with a deviled egg topping was a nice touch. Looking forward to see what things are to come on their future seasonal menus. I love their local farm to table concept. Really wanted to get the mushroom bisque soup as well but it was not offered in a smaller cup size. Other than that, I can't wait to go back.

First, it's so nice to have an intimate, upscale restaurant in town! As soon as you walk in the door, you are warmly welcomed by Nicole. She is incredibly friendly and outgoing. We were the first table last night, so she explained a lot about the menu and what the theme was for April - it's Spring!! We were given an amuse bouche of a carrot/ginger/turmeric drink. It was cold and refreshing and delicious! The menu is small, but the offerings are delicious. I started with the spring pea bruschetta. 3 thick slices of sourdough with a bright green pea topping. Two pieces would have been perfect, but it was too good to not eat all 3. My husband had the chicken liver pate. Again, 3 slices of sourdough slathered with pate. Absolutely delicious. I followed with the mushroom gnocchi and hubby had the lamb ragout with gnocchi. Both were very good. Chef Jason stopped by our table a couple of times to see if we were enjoying everything. We were kind of full but Nicole talked us into a slice of carrot cake from the shop next door to them, Sweeter than Sap. It was a 5 or 6 layer slice and was also, delicious. We would highly recommend this cozy little restaurant. They do not have liquor but it is BYOB for wine. They have water, sparkling water and Coke or Diet Coke. Service was outstanding! We will definitely be going there regularly!! Thank you Nicole & Chef for a wonderful meal!!

Oyster mushroom gnocchi and venison sausage stew - The image shows two plates of food on a wooden table. The front plate contains pasta with a creamy sauce, garnished with herbs and grated cheese, served with two slices of toasted bread. The back plate holds a beef stew with vegetables, also accompanied by toasted bread. There are two glasses of water, a small jar, and a knife and fork placed on the table. The setting appears to be in a restaurant or dining area.

It's been quite a while since my wife stopped here to dine... probably 5+ years…read more I've noticed that in the 17 years I've been in Gettysburg y this restaurant is #1 still here, and #2 continues a level of food service that both the locals and tourists enjoy. My wife and I both had the shrimp baskets and two soft drinks for lunch. The shrimp baskets were $17 each and the soft drinks $3 each. With tax and tips the total bill came to $50. The shrimp were obviously pre-battered and frozen but they were pretty tasty. The french fries had some kind of a nice crispy coating and were excellent. The coleslaw was pretty tired. The service was cordial and quick. The decor is as I remembered very nice. There is free parking behind this restaurant, but not many people know it is there. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because I think that the cost of the luncheon was a little more than it should've been for what we received. Had the shrimp been coated with a batter and fried from scratch (instead of being taken out of a frozen bag) I might've been able to award five stars. But... All in all this restaurant continues to hold its "very good to excellent" reputation for food and service over many years. I would die there again and I would recommend it with no reservations.

We were there on a busy Saturday; they were clearly slammed and probably understaffed, and it took a bit over 20 minutes after ordering to get our food. Other than the wait for the kitchen, the service at the table was very good. It felt a bit pricey at about $62 for two with tip. Cheesesteaks were good but on the small side for $17 and $19 (the latter on a gluten‑free bun), and a little light on the Cheese Whiz. That, plus a cider and a Coke, left the overall experience somewhat underwhelming.

This is our 2nd visit in 3 days, we absolutely love the Italian Sub & Ham and Cheese Sub. The Sub Roll is perfect (They make their breads fresh daily here) ! The meats and cheeses along with a nice selection of toppings are all so very fresh and flavorful ! We can't wait to try some of their Paninis and Breakfast Sandwiches . They look amazing ! The menu offers a very nice selection of sandwiches and salad's .... The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and seem to really have a passion for their job . Service is outstanding, they make your selections fresh The interior is very welcoming and spotless, they do have a very heartwarming board on a side wall that folks and local business has pre-paid for food for those in need, awesome ! Inside the shop you can sit in between Five Loaves and Deja Brew Coffee Shop & Bakery. It's a must stop on the Bakery side, so many amazing pastries, cake, muffins and the list goes on We highly recommend supporting this small business

Today's was one star, bread was so burnt I thought I'd gotten the wrong bread when I unwrapped it. Looks NOTHING like their usual sub rolls. Was also weird plastic thin strips in it. Was a sad sandwich and took a long time to make. Seems like today was not their day. It'll be a while before I try again. Was over 15$ for sandwich chips and drink where sandwich was hard to eat just tasted like burnt dry bread.
