Staff was warm and friendly. The food was excellent. We had the Burgers, chicken sandwich, gyro pita and quesadillas. Nothing disappointed.

We parked about a block away intentionally since the restaurant parking lot is not huge. After checking with the greeter we were promptly seated andvgreeted by our server, Linda, who was great throughout. There was a huge assortment of foods many of which you can see in my accompanying photos. What you cannot ascertain, however, is how delicious everything was! The prime rib was outstanding as was everything else. The did serve "Mom-Osas" and other spiritus libations. The deserts were wonderful as well, albeit perhaps a bit too sweet for this prediabetic. A lovely touch was a rose for each Mom who was there! ALL servers were attentive and courteous which was nice. Overall 'twas a delightful experience! Og, the pricevwas $50 per person. We have our wedding anniversary this coming Wednesday and I think i know where we'll be coming! If sightseeing or ghost-hunting in Gettysburg, DO check it out!

He said that "You are transported back in time the moment you step into the place." He was not wrong. Though it was late evening, there were still tons of people waiting to get in. We were starving but figured the wait must mean the food was worth it and...it was! We chose first available and were seated at the bar in the corner. It was nice because we didn't wait long to be served and we had I nice view of the entire restaurant. A very rustic place that looked as I would imagine it did in 1863. My friend ordered a Caesar salad, fillet, and a baked potato. The salad came with a freshly baked yeast dinner roll. Fillet was cooked to perfection. I ordered the King's Soup which was French onion soup except with large chunks of tender beef in it. My entree was the Spring House Salad which was mixed greens, apples, walnuts, chipped smoked turkey, with herb dressing and it was divine. The sleeper of the meal was the datenut bread with cream cheese that came with my salad. A dark brown molasses bread with dried fruit and nuts. It was so chocked full of nuts and fruit while the dough was the most moist bread I've ever had. I couldn't eat both pieces after the meal so took it in a to go container. I ate it on the drive home and it was still moist and delicious.

She was clearly overwhelmed, but somehow managed to keep herself together and did not skip a beat. Did not miss a thing. So impressive!! Definitely get to this place - something for everyone.

Coming from Rhode Island with hot weiners I have high expectations for what they call the 'Texas dog' and I can say that they didn't even come close. A dog with meat sauce, mustard and onions...The bread was a majority of the dog with a mountain of yellow onions that left so much of a bite I couldn't take another. The dogs were really big and seemed to be cut in half but the casing was tough and the dogs were not of quality. The stars given were simply to account for the memorabilia and history of the establishment which was cool to see. Overall, the dogs made us sick and left us disappointed but the history is worth the trip? Maybe just don't get the hotdog.

I had a ham and cheese with rye toast and my dad ordered a western omelette, but swapped the ham out for sausage and asked for two sides of scrapple and home fries. The omelettes were stuffed. I've never seen so much sausage in an omelette as I did that morning. The rye toast was only very lightly toasted.. I prefer a little crisper. My dad's home fries were seasoned well and the scrapple was thin and crispy. He loved it. The inside of the restaurant is small and homey with all of the expected diner touches (signs, and barstools, etc.). There are two unisex bathrooms and the one I used was a little dirty. If we're looking for diner food in the area, I think we would definitely stop in again for a quick bite.
