12/30/25: Thought we'd try a local restaurant we haven't eaten at yet and found Olivia's in Gettysburg. We were glad to see that it's open until 10pm! Walking in the front door you see the bar, but to the right is the restaurant area. They had everything decorated for Christmas - very pretty. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and professional. She knew the menu well. It's a Mediterranean restaurant and they have quite a variety of food choices. My husband chose the lasagna which came with soup or salad and garlic cheese bread. I chose the salmon which came with sautéed spinach, asparagus, and steamed broccoli. I couldn't eat the smashed potatoes that came with it, so I asked for it on the side so my hubby could eat it. I also ordered a bowl of their Maryland Crab vegetable soup. They were very accommodating. Our food was delicious. I didn't leave any on my plate! My husband was full halfway through his lasagna & so he had to say no to having dessert this time. On a trip to the Gettysburg outlets, we decided to stay in the area and look for lunch. We agreed on Olivia's which is close to the outlets and the other choices for lunch were less appealing. Olivia's has charm that is only matched by the quality and appeal of the food. Our choices were exceptional, and, the service was attentive. The desserts are homemade. Enjoyed dinner here on a Saturday night, though they were busy, the servers were all working hard and very attentive (especially ours). When we arrived we were greeted immediately and while that host was working on a table for us, another also greeted us and ensured we were being taken care of. The food was fantastic as was the martini I ordered. Honestly can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We went with friends who have strong Greek ties, so we weren't flying blind. The restaurant is dimly lit - but not overly so - and the overall ambience was very welcoming. We had a great waitress who was responsive throughout our meal. We all shared a couple of plates of dolmades to start - delicious. I was nearby for work and wanted to try Olivia's quickly before catching my flight. I only had time to order the app Lasagna Frita, which was pretty good and definitely big enough to share. Do not pass this up. Where do I begin. We had lunch there it was so good we returned for dinner. I have lived in Europe, and I had some the best Mediterranean food here. The hummus, tzatziki, Greek salad, Gyro and then the Mediterranean Surf and Turf. Chef Yanni uses the freshest ingredients to create amazing dishes. The locals are fortunate to have such a place. This family owned and operated restaurant shows how much pride they have in their menu and service. Their staff is professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. We had high hopes for Olivia's, we were disappointed. The appetizer was very good lasagna fritte, so our expectations were high! Entree's, we had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken, this is where they failed. We had to ask for it NOT to be in a bread bowl. The description states grilled chicken and lettuce with a homemade Caesar dressing and croutons. What came was mixed green that has wilted, chicken tenders baked with way too much balsamic vinegar, croutons not seasoned and the homemade dressing was tasteless. Dessert was baklava, ok, nothing to speak of. The atmosphere was loud, we were in a booth but could hear the conversations of both booths behind us. High hopes, but were sadly let down. read more

This is by far one of our favorite restaurants! We are from Maryland and come to Fayetteville several times a year passing through Gettysburg and we always eat at Olivia's, at least once. Service was fantastic. Food was terrific. I would eat here anytime. We had the lobster macaroni and cheese. And it's not like Kraft macaroni and cheese out of the box. Have to order this to see it it's hard to describe. The Thai lamb kebabs were great for a Greek restaurant. We had the Ratatouille as a side. The dolmades and Greek sausage for an appetizer. Both of which were very good, but whoever made the dolmades really knows what they're doing. Nice atmosphere, pretty easy parking. It's a bit pricey, so probably not a once a week thing. The only minor complaint that I would have is the bench seating is hard but that's it. We have been trying to get to this place for years but it just never worked out. Ok so I like you lol saw Oliva's on Fox43 and drove an hour and was NOT disappointed! It was sooooo good! For an appetizer we had Rockefeller Oyster! She's had the Caesar salad and I had the Greek salad.We demolished them! This sauce that the oysters were in was absolutely amazing. I kept swapping it up with the delicious homemade bread. For supper my friend had the Baja Chicken and Shrimp and I had the Shrimp, Lobster, Crab (trio) scampi. For desserts we had margaritas, dirty martinis, Reese cheesecake, and a Stella. We were told by several how good the food was. So this being our 1st time, our expectations were a little high. However, the only thing we thought went well was the very friendly staff. We original were sat in the inside however the jazz music was very loud and was not our taste. We were moved to the deck which was a much nicer atmosphere. It took about 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. After that, our Food didn't take too long which was nice. Although we were left with food and no drinks at one point for about 10-15 minutes. The steak was very bland with a lot of fat on. It was cooked medium and had very little juice. Would not recommend this item. The crab imperial was decent and the potatoes with melted cheese were good. Overall we won't be returning as our bill was expensive as we were trying something new. Not worth the money in the end. Amazing dinner! Olivias was recommended by our hotel front desk guy (John at the Courtyard) and it was amazing! The bread is amazing!! Hubby loved the hummus, but I am not a fan of cumin, and it definitely had cumin. That is OK, though. The bread is fine alone! Their cocktail game is strong (try the lavender French 75). We stopped in here on a whim on Father's Day and sat at the bar. Thought the food was excellent and service amazing. Felt like we were at a neighborhood joint and we were regulars. If I could offer a suggestion to the owner, it would be to add more variety in the appetizers. Neither one of us are fans of grape leaves and we wanted more than dips. Our original intent was to get two apps and maybe dessert. Instead we split one entree. I agree with other reviewers about the price. We had two cocktails and one pasta entree and the bill was $54.00. I'm hoping we were charged a "Father's Day" up charge because that seems about 20% higher than comparable establishments. I would highly recommend Olivia's provided you understand the pricing before you walk in. For us, we will absolutely go back and simply adjust our ordering because of the price. This is great place. Rustic atmosphere with a friendly staff. My wife and I were first time visitors to Gettysburg and looking for Greek cuisine. We yelped for help (and yes I have Grandbabys that love Paw Patrol). Olivia's popped up with a 3.5 rating so we decided to give it a try. 3.5 is not warranted. This is a great place. Kind of cozy, great food, great service. We started off with Saganaki (a must for lovers of Greek food). The imported goat cheese they use puts this dish in the top 3 of any Saganaki we've ever had. For the entree I had Moussaka and my wife had the Thai-Style Lamb kabobs. Large portions and delicious. As an aside, our server Tyara, was absolutely delightful.
