Stopped here again for lunch - same experience (fast), same menu item (Open-Face Roast Beef Sandwich)! Seated immediately, drink order taken immediately, food arrived almost immediately - could've easily had lunch within a 30-min window (I lollygagged around for an extra 15 minutes or so after finishing). Good diner food - good price!

This diner is situated near a Walmart Superstore and Sams Club in a shopping center on Carlisle Pike. I had brunch with a friend here yesterday and the food was pretty good. I ordered a cranberry juice, a Belgian waffle with strawberry topping, and bacon. The restaurant was pretty busy and the crowd definitely leaned older and more family-oriented. The service was decent, and the total cost for my meal came to $15 including a $2 tip.

I have to admit first off that living in Jersey provides a high standard for diners. The bar is set pretty high! On our way back from West Virginia, we stopped at the Silver Spring Diner, which is right off I-81. The place is big inside with plenty of seating. I ordered the cheeseburger deluxe. The burger was a little soggy, which made the bun soggy, not a good situation. The traditional onion ring was also missing. The place has potential. I'd just suggest the owners do a road trip to NJ to pick up a few pointers.

If you like garbage then this place is for you. Where you every start. I ordered takeout and got Buffalo wings, I was really surprised to find soggy breaded wings that tasted like something out of a Tyson frozen wings box. I'm diabetic so anything w breading is hard for me Wish I would've known they were breaded on their menu. I bit into one only for find a broken wing and a taste that could only be described as salt. I bit into the second and cut my mouth on a broken wing bone. Needless to say I threw the rest away. I'm betting whoever ran this place bought these frozen in a Tyson bag, heated them in a microwave and then served them. Absolutely awful. No blue cheese either.

Saw another patron eating this gigantic, steaming hot burger and asked our server, Dani, what he was having and so got the same thing. It was amazing - not sure what made it so good: maybe it was the toasted bun or the huge hunk of fresh onion? It was amazing. My coffee was great. Dani is an amazing server, so friendly and attentive ... but left us waiting at the end of the meal for a coffee refill. She obviously forgot because because she was getting other tables beverages so we had to flag her down and ask for a to-go cup since we were running short on time. Today, we went back and we had another server. We all agreed our food was good. I had breakfast and requested dark rye; it wasn't dark and my food wasn't as hot as I'd expect. Two cups of coffee today, no waiting.

A fun interior, well lit, clean, and a nice staff. Over all the food was fine. Lots of choices on their menu. French Toast a little dry (could've used more egg coating), sausage a little too salty. Had good service over all. Will be back to try something else. Maybe for lunch.

They had takeout and dine-in when I visited. Was interesting to order and see how they were able to spread people out, get around to tables, and have such quick service with just one or two people working the floor and a few cooks. As diners are known for, the food was done almost as quick as we ordered it. The soup that came with my meatloaf was tasty, the meatloaf itself was filling but not really what I expected, but the sides of mac and cheese (bland) and tomatoes went together weirdly well. Fries and burger were also standard.

The service was prompt, friendly, and kind. The suggestions about fruit for the waffle were generous and helpful. It's different to get my little one to eat anything when we go out to eat & adding additional fruit & whipped cream helped get him to try the waffle. He was not happy with the syrup. I'm not sure if maple syrup is an option. Maybe we'll ask about that next time. My eggs were perfectly cooked. The sausage links had a nice flavor & great "snap". The tater tots were crisp on the outside & soft inside. The booths have enough space between them & high enough sides to feel separation between diners and focused into your own party. The floors, seats, and tables were clean & comfortable. The artwork is large & unambiguous- photographs of food. And finally, the coffee is good!

You entered into a very barren space up front that felt completely unfinished, and then went to the rear of the restaurant in a completely separate room to be sat. In general, the food was ok...but nothing special. It's a diner. There are several of them within just a few miles. There is nothing about this place to set it apart from any of the others...except it is the closest to my house. A few drawbacks: -most of the breakfast meals came with homefries OR toast...not both. And if you wanted to get the potatoes and order a side of toast, it was grossly overpriced. -I received the wrong meal. Turns out the waitress ordered it wrong, wasn't the kitchen's fault. In her defense, she did give me a discount on our bill. -the entire restaurant just had an "unfinished" feel to it. I didn't feel like we were sitting in a dining room. It was just a bit weird to me. Would I go back? Probably...but there are a few diners I like a lot more within a very reasonable distance. It isn't going to be my top choice for sure.

I mean $3 for a soda I guess is standard, but if your waitress never refills your drink, it's a waste. We got a wrap that cost $15!!!!!!!! No wrap from central PA should be $15!!!!! Let's talk about food quality, and it has gone DOWN A LOT. Ordered a medium burger, and the bun was bled through. French fries for some odd reason are always undercooked. If you order bacon on a sandwich/ burger its always burnt. It's obvious these are just moves to maximize profit while ignoring quality. It pains me but I think I will not be coming back anytime soon, and will most likely not recommend them to anyone. My latest experience: Arrived on a Sunday night to an empty restaurant, maybe two or three guests. Go on to order our meal, two sodas a wrap and turkey roast dinner. Waitress doesn't write it down, I always hate this since this leads to mistakes, plus didn't ask what sides I wanted on either meal, had to stop the girl and say our sides to her. Proceed to wait 20 minutes for out meal. Which is a wrap with cold fries and a Roast Beef dinner, she got it wrong, of course. I tell her of her mistake, she apologizes, and about 15 minutes later with no food I decided to leave, and just get our bill of what we ate. $15.99 for a wrap, $3.99 for each drink (which she never offered to refill when we did see her, so roughly $25 for a bad meal. $15.99 for a wrap is robbery Service was deplorable Food was abysmal Prices were borderline robbery

Rolled into Mechanicsburg Breakfast & Pizzeria at the extremely conventional breakfast hour…read moreof...5pm on a Friday. I was the only diner in the place, which honestly made me feel like I had just rented out a private pizza studio. Bonus: plenty of free parking right out front because it's tucked into a little strip mall. Before I even ordered, the menu caught my attention--an eclectic mashup of pizza and tacos, with breakfast versions of both served all day long. It's honestly the kind of menu you'd expect to stumble upon in a dream where the universe says, "Go ahead, choose joy." I originally planned to be "responsible" and just grab a slice to test the waters, but they didn't have any slices ready and would've had to make an entire pizza just for me. That felt like a sign from the Universe to stop lying to myself. If they were firing up the oven anyway, why not go big? So I took the cosmic hint and ordered their semi-Instagram-famous Mexican Breakfast Pizza: eggs, chorizo, mozzarella, cheddar... a 10" "personal" pizza (their wording, not mine) for $14. Twist my arm. Drinks live in the cooler by the door and you just grab whatever you want and pay at the end. As I was mid-debate between soda and water, the guy behind the counter popped out from behind the curtain and said, "Hey, since you're getting a breakfast pizza, if you want juice... orange, cranberry, apple... you can have it!" Sir. Apple juice is basically the secret key to my heart. SOLD. He also mentioned they have games and coloring books available--apparently dominoes is the crowd favorite here. Unexpected and charming. A little sign on my table caught my eye: "If you love it, leave a nice review." Challenge accepted. This place was already earning every star. Placed my order at 5:02, snagged a seat by the window to watch the sunset fade and the traffic chaos whirl by. The sign on the wall said "GOOD vibes, GREAT flavors," and let me tell you: an accurate mission statement. At 5:20, my pizza emerged in all its glory--and it. was. stunning. The crust hit that sweet middle ground between thin and deep dish: sturdy, doughy, beautifully crisped on the edges, and wonderfully yeasty. The eggs-to-cheese ratio was perfection, and the chorizo? A knockout. Spicy, chunky, far more personality than the usual breakfast-pizza sausage situation. I ate 1.5 slices and boxed up the rest, which will easily feed me for another three days because, yes, I believe in leftovers as a lifestyle. As I was leaving, the man behind the counter introduced himself--Sebastian--and he had been nothing but attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure I had a great experience. Service like that sticks with you. Total damage: $22.26 including tip. For great food, even better service, and days of leftovers? That's what I call winning. I'll definitely be back--probably at another totally normal breakfast hour.
