On Jan 24 2025, I ordered a laptop screen from Micro Center at 1275 Powers Ferry Rd. Marietta, GA 30067 from Jamie Rodriguez. I never got notification when the screen was delivered to the store. On Feb 4, 2025 I reached out to get the status on the screen. I received a response on Feb 5, 2025 that it will be dropped off at the Duluth location. On Feb 6, 2025, I brought my computer to 2340 Pleasant Hill Rd, GA 30096 store for a service repair. I was told the screen was still not at the Duluth location and they will pick it up that day. At the time of drop-off, the computer was fully functional asid from the screen issue. The computer had no damages on the exterior. There was no mention of any found damages before work started. I was told the repair will be completed by Feb 7 2025. When I picked up the device on Feb 8 2025. There was no information or comments on the service sheet when given to me. After returning home and opening it I noticed the hinge on the right was not put together correctly as it turned on and put to use for a short time, it shut off and never turned back on. I noticed a bulged and melted area near the left hinge area. I returned it to the store on Feb 9 2025 and explained about the hinge, bulge, and the computer not turning on. On Feb 10 2025, I received a text that the computer was ready to pick up. I called to ask about the computer functioning and was told it was not checked. I end up speaking with a manager, Dylan Pilgram. In speaking with him and explaining this whole situation. I also asked about the delay of the screen and he stated that it was delivered to the Maritta store on Feb 1 2025 but never got notification until I reached out myself. He stated that there was damage from under the laptop that led to damage to the screen. I stated to him that it was not what damaged the screen and there was no damage to the laptop at all when I turned it in. I asked about the melted bulge near the screen area and he stated it was due to old age or wear. He informed me that the one who took my work order did not do their job correctly by not annotating what needed to be done for repairs. He stated that Paul Holebrook, Service Supervisor, did the repair. Damage to the computer was not present when I dropped off the device, nor did it occur while it was in my possession. When I picked up the computer on Feb 11 2025 I believe the damages occured while my computer was under Microcenter's care. As the device was handled exclusively by your technicians during this time. The quality of workmanship is in question from the initial installation on Feb 8 2025. No notes from your store indicating any damage before the start of work. read more

Dearest Reader, Don't ever come to this establishment if you need your phone fixed quickly. I dropped my phone off last Saturday, and I was hoping to get it done that day. I went in store and the gentlemen informed me that the Apple server was done and that as soon it comes back up he can fix my phone. I said Fine and I left my phone for the day, and I was going to come back on Sunday to pick up my phone. Micro Center opens at 11, the time was now 2:00 and I had no text or call regarding my phone. Therefore I proceeded to head to Micro Center because they had my phone for 13 hours and my I need my phone for work on Monday. I have calls and emails to send for work. I go at 2 O'clock and everyone's giving me the run around about why the phone isn't fixed. I can't wrap my brain around it because it's been 13 hours the Apple server certainly is up by now. The gentlemen was like oh yeah I see it on my desk. So then I ask him well do you plan on fixing it today or what ? You close at 6 on Sunday. I need my phone for work tomorrow. He's like yeah. Then he proceeds to fix it with an attitude. I cancel my return because he gave me attitude and told me it'll take another hour. I have already wasted 13 hours on a phone so I cancel it and he gives back the phone in an even worst condition then when I gave it to him. My display screen doesn't work and he left sticky crap all over my phone. NEVER COME TO THIS STORE ! read more

My elderly neighbor needed to buy a new Mac book. I had been helping her to check out all the deals during Black Friday. On Cyber Monday, I saw the MacBook Pro was selling for $1799 at Micro Center. We thought maybe Best Buy will price match for her, then we do not have to go all the way to Duluth. We drove to Best Buy only to be told they do not price match on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We were like guess we did not have a choice. While my neighbor was driving, I was busy on my phone trying to order that MacBook Pro so we could just pick it up. My phone battery depleted so fast since the Micro center website was so slow. Thank goodness before we arrived, I managed to place an order so my neighbor could be guaranteed getting one since the store has limited stock. Surely we did not want to go all the way to Duluth and not getting what she wanted. The staff at the customer service counter kept up selling my neighbor some cyber security software. I was busy on the phone doing some work. In the end she bought the software which I found out was a 2014 edition. I was like really?? She was upset, she said the staff kept pressuring her to buy that software. I said no worry, I would accompany back here another day just to return it. So I really not in love with the service at Micro Center but there is definitely a good deal during Cyber Monday. read more

I used to think Fry's was superior to Micro Center but after several years of using both stores pretty extensively I have to give my preferred nod to MicroCenter. Here's why. Prices are generally better (they do price match as well, but their prices are usually just as good if not better than online prices for the most part), store is very organized and small enough that you can pretty much easily navigate to parts that you need, and their selection is somewhat simpler and dare i say, better. The customer service here is very good. The returns, exchanges, customer service center is simple, friendly, and very efficient as well. The one gripe i do have is that when they can get pretty busy, the lines can get pretty long pretty fast and sometimes they do not have enough cashiers to make the line run super duper fast. That being said, the lines are fast enough and I can not dock any stars for that. They have a dedicated apple products selection in the back corner of the store for all the apple iphone ipad and mac users, but I feel their store is more geared towards PC users. yay! =] From Ram, Hard Drives, Cooling fans, CPU's, Desktop Cases, monitors, TV's, printers, USB cables, Printer cables, HDMI Cables, LAN Cat 5E and 6e cables, modems, routers, switches, extenders to crimps, tools, tablets, smart phones, sd cards, micro sd cards (good for us google android samsung galaxy smart phone users), screen protectors, sound cards, and graphic cards these guys pretty much have you covered. I recommend them to all the computer nerds and geeks out there as well as the non tech savvy individuals for an excellent computer, tv, tablet gizmo gadget galore experience overall. Lastly, at Fry's i'm lucky if i can be in and out within 20-40 minutes because of their sheer gargantuan of a store size (Fry's is pretty much a warehouse/ sam's club of computer parts) where as at Micro Center i can pretty easily and effectively be in and out within 5-10 minutes with part(s) needed in hand. I brought a projector back. I spoke with MicroCenter support before I drove all the way there. I said I do not have the original box. Support said no problem, there might be a restocking fee. I drove there and this girl at the support desk said "no we don't take returns without the box" real snoody. I told her I spoke with microcenter support and she said verbatim "oh well they're not actually affiliated with us." I wanted to tell her to go sit in a corner and think about what she just said. She didn't have a nametag but she was overweight with glasses. The manager came over and told her to swap it out. She gave me the dirtiest childish look. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE. Please download everything on your computer if you choose to let this location work on it. I took my computer to micro center to repair my plug, because it was bent and my computer wouldn't hold a charge. They told me they could fix it in a week. When I got the call from them, they told me that the plug couldn't be fixed, because the motherboard was crashed. MY MOTHERBOARD WAS NOT CRASHED WHEN I LEFT IT WITH THEM. The only thing they needed to repair was the plug. THEY CRASHED MY MOTHERBOARD and the didn't take responsibility for it. PROTECT YOUR VALUABLE INFO and DO NOT use this team for your repairs. I can't tell you how devastated I was when I turned on my computer and it read NO HARD DRIVE AVAILABLE. So much valuable info and pictures lost. Awful team and experience! read more

Second time buying a refurbished computer from Micro center. The first time worked out well with a relatively inexpensive machine that lasted for over five years. Not so much the second time - the machine didn't work. Kudos to Micro Center for taking it, and the Microsoft Office card, back with no questions asked (other than asking what was wrong with the machine). The return took all of two minutes. Excellent. Lot of cool stuff in the store, although no FM radios, one thing I was looking for. I guess everybody streams these days. In an age where brick & mortar stores seem to be degrading (I'm looking at you, Fry's), this Micro Center outlet still seems well-stocked and current. Good customer service when buying the computer. The sales person went through their refurbished inventory with me and pointed out the plusses and minuses of each machine I expressed an interest in. Had the machine I bought actually worked, I probably would have been happy with it. Three stars for selection and quality; fourth star for easy return. read more

This is the go to spot for anything dealing with PC building/ gaming and tech. I just got into PC gaming in the fall and I was console before that. I wouldn't say you expect it but it's def easier for things to go wrong having a custom PC built so I've had to go up there a few times from a faulty part or an upgrade bundle and they are always happy to help/ switch it out for you as long as you're in your window. Plus it's usually not the stores fault if the product is just messed up. If there's one thing, try to ask or get Aaron for help. His knowledge of hardware is second to none and I know he's only recommended/ helped me with items he would use himself and is always honest on it. He's helped me with purchases and then if an issue came up down the road with it, he goes out of his way to make sure I'm taken care of with service or what he can do to fix it. It's not easy finding customer service like that, and noticeably seeing someone go out of their way to help is what makes this my favorite store. I needed to grab a NAS device while in town, and was intending on hitting Fry's, but my coworker noticed Micro Center so we checked it out to see if they had anything that would work. As soon as I walked in the door, I knew I was in geek heaven. There were enough computer cases on display to fill a doublewide trailer. If you're looking to build your own, they have you covered with just about any component imaginable. We were able to find what we needed and when we had a technical question about one of our items, the lady working the section was able to help us without blinking an eye. In fact, as we browsed the rest of the store, anyone we ran into in the different sections was extremely friendly and helpful. I do get the sense that the folks work on commission, but I never felt pressured or followed. Overall, great selection, prices were very competitive and the service can't be beat! read more

Never ever ever purchase anything from this store. I don't care if you think you are saving a few dollars. In the long run you will lose!!!!!!!! We purchased an Apple laptop from here and had technical issues. They diagnosed this problem in 10 minutes and told me it was broken and that they needed to send it off for repair and it would be another $600. I ended up spending $1600 for $900 computer. I wish that we had never walked into this store and just bought from Apple. Not only am I out of my hard earned money but the customer service that I experienced left a lot to be desired. I listened to the store manager repeat over and over how much he understood. This place is a joke and I firmly believe they implement store policies to swindle you out of your money. This is my go-to computer store. The managers are knowledgeable and helpful, as are all employees I have encountered in the 3 years I have been buying computers (4 so far) and accessories. I purchased a MSI computer based on the high recommendation of a sales guy. Turned out that was not the best fit for me as this was a gaming computer, not totally suited for business usage although technically the specs were excellent. I returned the computer past the 30 day limit due to working out of state. Micro Center took the return and allowed me to get another. A different sales guy showed me an Acer that is really perfect. This machine is so perfect I can't get over it, in every single way! Makes my job so much better. Specs allow my large CAD type programs to operate instantly! I have never encountered a rude or disengaged employee. It's a computer store first, so it is superior to Best Buy and others that sell a million other things. Everybody is knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend this store to everybody I know looking for a computer. read more

First off Duluth location is so much better than the Marietta location. The customer service you get at the Duluth location is far superior!! I have been going to the Duluth location for years and I happened to go to the Marietta location today and I was shocked to not receive the same great customer service. We went home with not everything we needed, even though guy at the Marietta center swore that we had absolutely everything. Drove up to the Duluth location and was helped by Lucas He gave us a ton of great advice and helped us getting our missing pieces. DO NOT TAKE YOUR APPLE PRODUCTS HERE! The Apple tech at this location is incompetent. I had my MBP repaired here and it's falling apart a month after. Screws keep falling out, the screen is loose, and there's something wrong with the video as occasionally the entire screen will turn black and I'll have to reboot. Do not take your Apple products here, take them to the Apple store or mail them in! Edit: I sent an email to the address in microcenter's reply below. They couldn't understand why I would be upset that after spending $2k on repairing my laptop the display was still damaged. This is by far my favourite computer store I've been to yet, it's very well laid out and they always have whatever I need in stock. The staff are very helpful and they also know what they are selling, which is always good. Their prices are also pretty reasonable and close (if not sometimes cheaper) than online prices. Their keyboard section is most likely the best in the area and it includes everything from Bluetooth media keyboards to Ducky Shines. I do wish the cooler and case sections had more options but all in all, this is my go-to place for PC parts. read more

I have shopped at Micro Center for years. In fact, I moved from the area and made a 2-hour drive to return. Won't need to worry about that anymore......... Let me start by saying as a general rule I believe that extended warranties are a rip-off and not worth buying. Almost 2 years ago I purchased 3 1080 TI Hybrid cards for use in my systems. The sales person offered me an extended warranty which I declined. Then came the sales pitch, for 100$ I could protect my investment and when the time came to upgrade my video cards I would receive the value of my purchases toward a better card. As long as it was within 2 years. This weekend I drove into the Micro Center, Marietta and Duluth locations to upgrade my video cards. Original packaging, receipts and video cards only to be told I had it wrong and they would not honor the upgrades. It was over a 500 limit and had to be defective to qualify. That is NOT what I was sold, and it's kinda hard to read the fine print and the website when standing at the register. You have to kind of take the salesman at his word. WELL DON'T. I was lied to and paid for three highly overpriced extended warranty. A similar warranty thru other vendors were about 39.00. I assumed the extra cost was to cover the upgradeability I was promised. I am sure the salesman had a good laugh after ripping me off. I have spoken to several people who have upgraded lower priced gear with no trouble. I guess they were gonna lose money on my upgrades and decided not to honor the policy. I could have stooped to their level and simple "broke" the cards and turned them in for replacement. But THAT is not what I was sold and I refuse to lower myself to their level. On average I spend 5-7 thousand dollars a year on computers and related equipment. I can say that in the 20 years I have been buying computer gear I have NEVER met such a rude group of customer service employees and managers. 1. Don't pay for the extended warranties from anyone, they are a rip-off. 2. Go someplace other than Micro Center to shop. Use an online vendor like Amazon or Newegg. If you must buy from a brick store I recommend Frys. The customer service and equipment support is MUCH better and I have yet to be LIED to by a Frys employee. read more

Sales associate K. helped me by having actual knowledge of the products and didn't mind looking up comparisons in my printer choices. Their return policy is practically hassle free as long as it matches the fine print. I work with computer hardware a lot (custom rigs/severs/mining machines) and I can tell you most of their customer service personnel know their stuff. I've been shopping here for 4 years and going. After a terrible experience at the Marietta location, I decided to make my return/exchange in Gwinnett. And trust me Gwinnett is NOT convenient. My friend, Mike, insisted that the staff up there is smarter, more patient, and better informed and I would not have the same issues with them. So to north bumble (for me) I trekked. I went to the Customer Service counter and explained the situation and the bad experience and told them what I needed. Armed with a print out from crucial.com (I was buying memory), the young woman took me to Vincent. I talked through my needs, what I was trying to do (for someone else) and he quickly realized that I knew what I was doing and talking about so he knew he didn't need to talk down to me. We talked through all of my options, what would be best (and most cost effective) and made a decision. He could have easily cost me, at minimum, $100 more for what I originally thought I would need. Vincent put me at ease explaining that the computer would run beautifully with half the memory I was expecting to buy. That is what Customer Service is all about - and I should know - it's what I do. Why does this place have an average 3-star rating? Blasphemy, I say! In my opinion, Micro Center (especially when you compare it to the few electronics store that are struggling to survive) has the best customer service, highest quality, and lowest prices. What else do you want when you buy something that is most likely going to offer you amazing entertainment? I have gotten PCs, laptops, and an iPad here, as well as numerous software and accessories. I have even gotten the occasional bag of Sour Patch Kids. This shows how frequently I shop here. Don't sleep outside the Apple store when they release something new. Go to Micro Center and possibly even save a few bucks. You'll love me for this advice. I love myself for it. read more

I did my research on the ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard when my EVGA board got cooked. I purchase the 'open-box' motherboard for $258+tax. The box stated the board had BENT PINS. Myself and another employee thoroughly checked the board before I purchased it and found absolutely nothing wrong. Upon arrival home, 1.5hrs away, I removed the motherboard and installed it in my computer, spent a good while routing cables, installing the CPU, RAM, GPU, fans and whatnot. Upon completion I opened the accessory box underneath the motherboard to get the included thumb drive with drivers and wireless antenna to plug in. It looked like a bomb went off in the accessory box. The thumb drive package was ripped open and nowhere to be found, the 3T3R wireless antenna was missing in action, several SATA cables were gone, no driver DVD in sight, no board install risers or screws. Just ripped open plastics everywhere. I immediately got on Micro Center's website and found the contact email. I waited the better part of a week, with no response. UNPROFESSIONAL. I got on the online chat and spoke with a lady and she ensured me that she forwarded the issue to the local store manager and that they would contact me. A week later and I have yet to receive a response. UNPROFESSIONAL. I am not returning this motherboard because a) it took me hours to install and hook everything up and b) Micro Center is on the complete opposite side of Atlanta from me and every trip takes me approximately 3-4 hours to complete, and with Atlanta traffic, forget it. I am now forced to dish out more money and buy ASUS' 3T3R wireless antenna because the motherboards wireless if USELESS without it. Thanks. I have made the drive countless times, bought countless peripherals and spent countless dollars at Micro Center. NEVER AGAIN. I will stick with Newegg and Amazon from now on. AT LEAST I'll GET WHAT I PAY FOR. And by-the-way, had the box stated 'MISSING ITEMS' I would have inspected the lower accessory box for what was missing but it only stated the board and bent pins. I never gave it a thought to check the lower box for complete content. Whoever took the return in from the previous buyer didn't do THEIR job and check the boxes content and stuffed me with the pitfalls. Just took the other buyers word that it 'doesn't work because it has bent pins.' BS, thanks a lot MC. read more

I love microcenter.This location is way better than the Marietta location with stock and customer service. Gwinnett location is right across Atlanta Toyota and in the same shopping center where checkers and krispy kreme. This isn't a best buy or frys. This location is small very easy to shop around you don't have have a map or mall directory . This is the place to go if you are buying computer parts , accessories, tablets , laptops or printers. They have weekly flyers with super low deals on everything in store. I have bought all my laptops here for the past 10 years. They also price match from major online retailers except Amazon. Online you can check the store's current inventory on a specific item and order it online and pick it up in store in minutes. Service is ok. Low pressure sales. If look lost a staff is nearby to assist you.Return policy is very flexible . I was able to return many items with no questions. They offer onsite technical support and repairs on electronics.
