I love the cakes here and so does my whole family. This will always be my go to cake bakery.

8 months pregnant went to order 2 baby shower cakes for my twins . Before I can order my bladder decided to get full(while patiently waiting for her to get done sweeping) I politely asked to use their restroom. The lady in the front today had zero compassion and sent me away to Carl's Jr. Full aware of no public restroom but working in customer service you sometimes have to lend a helping hand. I was still going to be a paying customer. Was not just walking in for the restroom solely. She never greeted me or the customer behind that had we walked in. I have been ordering for over 11 years and today I can say I'm truly disgusted. Forced to add 1 star but the def a ZERO star. read more

This place changed my view on what a 'Cake' could be. My brother got a small Raspberry Victorian for his birthday and I was so impressed we now MUST have one for each of our birthdays. My daughter ordered her cake from here for her wedding in May. First off, the lady who took her order and did the tasting was very rude and didn't seem very knowledgeable about the shops cakes and abilities. The wedding day, the cake was delivered and not put together. To my knowledge it should've been assembled. This seemed rather unusual and unprofessional. It was a major inconvenience and disappointment. Second, the flavor of the cakes was not what was expected. They ordered 2 flavors for the two tiers. The lemon cake was more like a white cake and the bits of crunchy toffee candy were not appetizing in the chocolate cake which should've been a toffee flavor. The flavors were not anything like the samples tried in person at the shop. The cake looked beautiful, however the flavors and unprofessional service were disappointing to us.  We also emailed Michelle and did not get a response. read more

It looked fantastic, tasted terrible, texturized with lemon peel shavings and left a horrible after taint in your mouth. Way to ruin a party Michelle's! I would NOT be writing this as I have bought 50 plus cakes from here and only once have I had an issue prior to this cake. The worst part about your business YOU DO NOT STAND BEHIND your over priced cakes when they go bad and the second? The bakers overindulgence of RAW LEMON ZEST (shavings of the lemon peel) as an end product for consumption. We do not mind spending the money when you are your regular awesome self but when you F - UP? Admit it and remake, replace or refund. JUST RE-DO WHAT IS BAD. But you don't. You didn't the last time I spent $140 on a birthday cake and this time? Haven't even bothered to return a phone call as I was assured 'the person in charge' would do. If you do good work this should be an uncommon call but if you are slipping and adding a cup of lemon rind in raw chunks thinking no one will notice the nasty after taste you are mistaken. Michelle's made and delivered my daughters wedding cake. Delivery was to Rancho Cucamonga on a Saturday afternoon. We also ordered chocolate covered strawberries and petifores. Everything was perfect. Ordering was easy. They walked me through step by step and answered all of my questions. We have raspberry Victorian and lemon. All I heard was it was the best cake ever. I've always enjoyed Michelle's cake! So far, I've tried the raspberry Victorian, strawberry Victorian, and the red velvet. All of these have been super delicious and worth the price. They have a characteristic "custard-like" filling that is dense as butter. Their fruit is always fresh, and the cake itself is always very tasty! I've also ordered a cake for a reception and it was timely, with no issues. Highly recommend! read more

We had a great experience ordering our wedding cake this year with Michelle's! Our venue had to cancel on us due to COVID restrictions and our cake was an inclusive service with the venue. I called Michelle's a month or so before our wedding to ask if we could still book them for our wedding day and they were able to accomodate the same cake order and deliver to the new address. The cake was moist, not too sweet (like many other wedding cakes), and coordinating with the bakery was seamless. This is a nice little quaint bakery that my FDL (future daughter in law) hipped me to. We had an spot for cake tasting with Brittany. She was awesome. Her friendliness and helpful spirit made this a fun experience. She gave great ideas, and the cake choices were pretty good. This bakery is tucked away in Redlands, Ca., and if you blink while driving you might drive right by. I believe they also do events there as well. Brittney informed us that they have been in business for over 30 years. In the little bakery they also sell brownies and cookies which looked delicious. It was a nice treat and I look forward to using there services again , I will definitely ask for Brittney. read more

The following review is about our entire experience with Michelle's Bakery for our wedding at Serendipity Garden Weddings this past October. The cake tasting experience was a huge disappointment. We communicated with Michelle's bakery on multiple occasions describing what we wanted to try before our meeting since we were coming from out of state, and asked for two specific flavors - red velvet and chocolate peanut butter. When we got there, they put us into a small corner against a wall, not facing each other. A worker brought us out 6 slices of cake on a styrofoam plate with one plastic fork, and none of the flavors were the specific two we asked for. When we told the worker that we had called prior to this visit to confirm the flavors that we wanted to try, she said that it wouldn't be possible to make the peanut butter chocolate cake. I asked to speak with the chef who said he could whip it up in 15-20 minutes, which delayed our experience. We asked for red velvet and and peanut butter chocolate cupcakes. We told the worker that we did not want the white frosting that comes with the peanut butter chocolate cupcakes, but rather wanted peanut butter icing on them when we came to do the cake testing. We also said that we did not want any of the cupcakes to be cream filled. She confirmed that they would be able to do this for us. Unfortunately at the wedding the cupcakes had the white frosting on the peanut butter chocolate cupcakes and both of the types of cupcakes were cream filled. They unfortunately got our cake design wrong, despite us sending them a picture two different times of the cake we wanted to emulate. My husband and I came to a compromise on the cake, and what I specifically wanted was the middle layer to be a naked cake with white frosting. Unfortunately the middle layer was the same pink pearlized layer as the top part of the cake, which really disappointed me. Michelle's bakery texted Brian two days before our wedding, for instructions for our cake design. Again the description of our cake was given and the result was still wrong. We were surprised that they were contacting us to confirm these details just two days before our big day when we felt we had been over this multiple times with them. It was obvious throughout the whole process that there likely weren't very good notes/any notes at all describing what we wanted for our cake/cupcakes whether it was through calling before our first appointment, talking with them again at our appointment, or afterwards through email and text as everything turned out so wrong. On a positive note, the day of, and the day of our cake tasting, everything tasted great! read more

They can't do a lot when it comes to cakes. They can make plain cakes decorative cakes, but if you are looking for marble crazy fun cake. It's best to go somewhere else. I'm so beyond dissatisfied with the $150 graduation cake that I ordered for my daughter! First, the simple design I requested was totally wrong. I even provided photos and dropped off the ribbon that they just decided not to use. They corrected the design errors but I was still disappointed with the sloppy ribbon placement. Also, the cake was so thick - we could barely serve it properly. After serving my guests, I sit down to have a piece of cake and it was terrible! The cream cheese frosting in the center of the red velvet cake tasted like a stick of butter with a dash of sugar mixed in. It was even yellow!! The cake itself was dry and not moist at all. Most of my guests took a couple bites then threw away the cake. I wish I had a photo of all the full plates in my garbage. Don't waste your money here, the cake quality is so poor and it reflects the people who work there - horrible customer service and they act annoyed when you call with questions. read more

I absolutely love the cake here. My favorite is the Raspberry Victorian with whipped cream frosting. Sadly, they no longer offer cake by the slice, so I will probably not be returning. They've offered me their same flavored cupcakes, but the ratios and experience are just not the same. They do still offer a whole cake, but I have zero need for an entire cake - a slice was a little treat I'd give myself on occasion. If purchasing here please check your cake for insects or worms. I purchased a raspberry Victorian cake and took it home for a bday event. After having the candles blown out by the birthday girl we saw 4 tiny worms/ insects (perhaps from unwashed raspberries). This was an indoors event. Everyone around was disgusted and unfortunately unable to eat the cake. I brought the cake back with receipt and quietly spoke to an associate simply asking for a refund. The associate Bonnie went to the back and spoke to Michelle the manager and said no refund allowed. They made it seem like I wanted to put the insects on the cake myself. With receipt and the uneaten cake I thought a simple refund would be allowed but it wasn't. Bonnie clearly stated, "Michelle doesn't want to give a cake or refund, but I can give you a cake now". I didn't need a cake since the event was over. I kindly asked to speak to Michelle myself, but the associated stated she was in a meeting and didn't want to come out to assist with a customer. Sad this reputable spot in Redlands could not offer proper customer service. read more
