Saturday Farmers Market at Lakeline has a better croissant selection than this physical location - super bummed. No plain or red velvet croissants here. Boo The croissants at the farmers market are seriously the best croissants I've had in the US. I recently went to Austin Tea Company with friends which is located inside Michelle's Patisserie. We went for high tea on a Sunday and unfortunately the bakery was closed. Fast forward a few days later, I'm at work and a colleague knocks on my office door bearing treats. She had gone to Michelle's and bought treats for the office. Cupcakes and cookie butter cookies. I LOVE BISCOFF so much! The cookies are so beyond delicious. One bite and my head was spinning with delight, as were my mouth, lips, and tongue. Hands down the best cookie butter cookies I've ever had. She also brought in chocolate cupcakes and well as bubblegum cupcakes. Holy poo was that bubblegum cupcake super yum! While I was at in the strip shopping center where Michelle's patisserie is located, I decided to pop in. I was specifically interested in the chocolate chip cookie they sell at the Domain. My mouth was watering thinking about the chocalate chip cookie with the chocolate chips melted within the soft texture of the cookie. Then, boom I was hit with worst possible news. No chocolate chip cookies at this location. This location specializes in cakes and custom cakes. They also sell muffins, macaroons and occasionally other specialty pastries. So I move to Plan B, choose something else. I chose a German chocolate muffin. Was it good? Yes. However, was it as good as their chocolate chips melted within cookie? Nope! However it was good. We came here for my niece's wedding shower. The decor is cute and overall, the place is inviting. The service was great and the food was good too! Loved the scones and the clotted cream. I especially loved that all of the tea cups and tea pots were different! That's exactly my style! The only reason it didn't get five stars is the configuration of the place. If you have a small group you can sit in the front room but a larger group gets separated into two rooms. It's really far up north but easy to get to and find. It's near 183. Overall, we had a nice time. I don't know if I would have a reason to be back anytime soon but I had a nice afternoon. :) read more

Had a really great tea party experience here! Upon walking in, the private room was decorated to the brim with everything pink. My party of 4 was seated in a comfortable corner and all the tableware was already set up. The tea party came with an assortment of sandwiches, pastries, and sweets, which we didn't think would fill us up, but it did. The beef, tuna, and cucumber sandwiches were delicious. I'm not a sweets person so I thought all the pastries and desserts were a tad sweet and thus, didn't get to finish it. We were given 2 teas of our choosing and were able to order more. Rating based on the cupcakes and service at the 620 location. Love the pastries we've got at the Sat. Lakeline Farmer's Market--Dubai Chocolate Croissant, Kouign-Amann, ham/cheese twists and almond croissant and more. All excellent. They are the reason this isn't a one-star review. As they don't carry the aforementioned items at the 620 retail location, and I didn't have time to get to the Leander location I chose to give some of their cupcakes (and a lemon bar) a shot. Lemon bar was perfectly fine and delicious. Tons of awesome lemony tartness. Oof. Cupcakes were dry. And tasted little of the flavors (lavender/lemon, strawberry, salted caramel) they were sold as. And I'm not talking there was a subtle flavoring and you just needed to enjoy its subtlety, they were just flavorless. Full disclosure, the salted caramel cupcake did have a sploodge of caramel goop in it that did taste a bit like a burnt caramel sauce--but otherwise, the flavorless cake and buttercream comments apply. If you like a cupcake with more flavorless buttercream than dry cake, this is the place for you. Also, if I had a customer-facing employee at my business that exhibited the level of ennui and dismissiveness as the person who served me, they'd be fired. read more

Super cute concept to have Austin English Tea Company service tea parties in the tea room, located conveniently within Michelle's Patisserie. Just about two hours of tea pots, offering different types of teas (two pots at a time). The coconut oolong and peach white were amongst the favorites, followed by the jasmine green. You can bet the caffeine will hit after indulging in the selection provided. Absolutely worth looking into purchasing some of the tea for home! As for the foods offered as a part of the spread, enough to munch on, but way too many sweets compared to the savory options. Overall a good deal, and a good time! Do not go to their booth at the Domain's Farmers Market. My experience: After waiting in line and swatting flies off the pastries, I was egregiously ignored, while a couple who just walked up to the table to be assisted. Even though there was a clear line, she could have at least asked, "Who'd next?". Even as I looked at her, and she looked at me, she didn't even acknowledge that I was there. While I can't comment on the quality of the goods in the shop, I'd only buy at a Farmer's market booth for convenience. I first discovered Michelle's Patisserie back in 2021 when we used them to make mini wedding cake and petit fours for our wedding which turned out to be fantastic! When we went for our tasting, I saw that they had a super cute room for tea parties, but at the time, due to covid, it was closed, so I was thrilled when I received an invitation for an afternoon tea party for a baby shower. It was a really cute British style tea party complete with English and peach tea. We were served crustless sandwiches, clotted cream and biscuits, egg soufflé , mini French macarons, fruit and pieces of a shortbread dessert that was reminiscent of billionaire shortbread bars. While it was not Fortnum and Mason, It was really cute, the food was great and we had a good time. read more

I ordered my daughters cake a week in advance. I sent them exactly what I wanted the cake to look like and they agreed that it can be done. My pick up time was 1:00 and they tell me it's not ready yet. They scribble quickly.... And 10 mins later cake is done, and does t look like what I ordered. Very disappointing. They honestly didn't even care. They had many wedding cake testing that they just rushed mine. I will not order ever again from here and will continue to let others know about my experience. Sam and Ashley were both very unhelpful and didn't show any interest in what I experienced or expressed to them. I paid $85.00 for a small 6 inch. It's sad how people expect premium pricing but give you poor quality. Michelle the owner reached back out to me and explained what happened. She did offer me a full refund. I appreciate when a business owner reaches out to make things right. However, the cake is tastes really good so I felt it's only fair to refund only half. Thank you for making it right! read more

My guest and I were very much looking for a dessert place and we thought we found it but we did not find it. When arriving it was charming and to cute! I was already anticipating my return. The tea room is cute with artwork of aristocratic women chewing gum and wearing sunglasses. It was a special service this time with a complimentary glass of Prosecco to celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving! Our host, Sarah, outdid herself with her Thanksgiving spread - we had a light and scrumptious tiny cheesecake in fancy espresso cups to end our meal and some delicious crunchy in the outside, nice and fluffy on the inside artichoke frittata to begin it! Wonderful, convivial atmosphere all around and just the perfect whimsical afternoon tea ambience one imagines in a tea shop! This tea shop is so cute! I really enjoyed the afternoon tea event we had there. There were several varieties of teas to choose from, and all of the food was delicious. There were cucumber sandwiches, brie sandwiches, and also ones with ham, or a vegetarian option. The scone was delicious with the clotted cream and the jam. The desserts consisted of Millionaire shortbread, berry cheesecake, and a macaron. I couldn't even finish everything! All of the dinnerware was so eclectic and cute. They even have tea available for purchase and a dessert case in the front with cupcakes and macaroons to go. Stopped in for a pastry and coffee this morning and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We tried the almond croissant, apple croissant and the kouign amann (sweet and buttery puffed pastry). I really wanted to give them 5 starts but unfortunately a major corner is being cut which hurts the end result product. The positives: Convenient location, good customer service, beautiful cakes, great selection, very cute decor. The negative: They're using hi-ratio premixed shortening icing which is similar to Crisco. The frosting is flavorless and has a greasy chemical like taste and leaves a weird texture in your mouth. I understand why they do it, I used to work in the culinary industry but frosting can make or break a cake and theirs does. If they could fix this it would be a top notch bakery. Their cake itself is good but the frosting is gross. The price is also very high for how sub-par the flavor is. read more

I ordered a fun cake for my son's birthday. The flavor was supposed to be chocolate with Nutella filling, but they gave me a German Chocolate cake with Nutella filling, and it did not taste good. Great cupcakes! They have so many great flavors, it's pretty hard to choose, so order a sampler and split between folks is my way to go. The bourbon pecan was great, as was the salted caramel (whole pool on top!). Chocolate options were interesting too (cookies and cream, german chocolate, reeses) but I didn't get to try them personally. My only qualm on them is they're a bit on the smaller size for the price. We came to Texas for the eclipse and stayed with friends in Liberty Hill. Our friends suggested stopping at Michelle's Patisserie on the way back to the airport Wednesday, and we are so glad that we did. The croissants are to die for. We have not had such a delicious treat since we were in Paris over a decade ago. The property is delightful and the little house is so cozy, we could imagine little parties being held here.
