Almost $1300 for a $200 job!…read more Sadly this was the first and last time that I do business with Fabian It's starts with a Scan that he charges you to come do. He charged me $40 All this scanner does is give you codes. Nothing you can't get done at Autozone for free! I had done a process of elimination before he arrived to do his so called scan. When he arrived I told him I thought it was the fuel pump. He plugged up his fancy little toy and told me it fired off a computer code. (Never opened the hood). He charged me $40 and I got no information. He told me I would get a text with a estimate later that night. Wasting my time: Later that night I wait and nothing. Then he text me at 11:30pm told me I would get a estimate first thing in the morning. I was being patient. Next morning I text him to ask what was going on why this was taking so long. (No response). 2 days have gone by and nothing resolved. He then calls me and tells me my truck needs a Total Control Power Module (TIPM) from Dodge which he told me cost $1032. Then he told me he would charge $120 to install. At this point I was like what ever let's do it. I need this truck back on the road. He then told me he would try to find it cheaper. I have not heard from him since. I was convinced this was not the problem. I researched it the TIPM it had 10 chips of wires. And is held with latches. (Charge me $120 for a 10 min swap) I went back to my first thought. Long behold it was the fuel pump. $192 at O'reillys. Installed the pump myself turned the key and truck started right up. So to break it down. $1032 plus .08% tax puts the part at $1114.00 plus his $120 charge for labor(10 min swap) puts me at $1,234 and let's throw in $40( for the ridiculous so called scan) $1,274 total I would have spent with this guy $192 at O'reillys and I have a running truck! I was told that a subcontractor or a crew member would be calling me to give me ETA and further assitance, I'm not sure because the dispatcher at Gruas El Paisano was very vague about it and I was not given clear guidance about who would be helping me. The "subcontractor" or "crew member" eventually called me and told me an ETA of an hour. I was hesitant and either the dispatcher or other crew member or subcontractor told me that they would lower the price to $165 showed up. All was good and my vehicle got where it needed to go. At the end of the trip I was charged $200. I questioned both the subcontractor/crew member and the dispatcher at Gruas El Paisano about the increased price not mentioned and one claimed it was not up to them while the other claimed "We never lower prices for anyone." Gruas El Paisano was very eager to take the job and falsely "lower the price" when I was hesitant on primarily their 1 hour ETA and high price for that wait time but after all of that I was charged even more then I was originally quoted and both people who i was in contact claimed that either they had no say in pricing while the other claimed they "Never lower prices for anyone." I will never be picking this company or their associates again. They made false claims about a negotiated guaranteed price and then ended up charging me more than we agreed upon. While this sort of service is supposed to be life saving these people were head-aching.

Referred to this place by a coworker and I was very impressed by the price I was paying for Jorge…read more's expertise. My vehicle had already been diagnosed by the dealer who quoted $1500 worth of repairs after having the vehicle for over 24 hours! I did not mention any of this to Jorge so when I dropped off my car he was starting the diagnosis from scratch...it took him less than 20 mins to find the same things and cost me $1000 less! His shop is a decent size and right off the hwy. He has a bit of a Tony Montana accent but it does not get in the way of him fixing a car :) If you have given up on your mechanic give him a try. Only a $25 diagnosis fee.. If he was able to do everything my car needed like an alignment I would give him 5 stars..maybe in the future!

Truck threw belt and blew radiator leaving with new engine installed. He said the belt was good…read more 430 miles later broke down, coolant coming out exhaust. Easy to tell since the exhaust has been falling off poorly installed. Head gasket blew in the truck, or worst case is hydrolock, not turning over properly soemtimes. A couple hoses shot off. Had nothing but problems, never ran right. It would get stuck turning over sometimes. Idle was super high at first, I adjusted it down. It surged in first at low speed, high idle was to cover this up perhaps? Went to shop, he had me waiting around all day, never looked at it, mentioned charging me more. He alleged I had a bad MAF, which I left w/o inspection and replaced after seeing him hustle for new clients and leaving me hanging. Still didn't run right. Surged when I hit the brakes in neutral, some mind of vacuum leak. He blamed me when I confronted him. I travel a lot and had a second car so just drove that amidst my flights, sold that car though. Now I've got work out of state and no wheels. Blaming my camper shell is pathetic for a poor engine install. Never sent my engine core back. I thought it was, when I didn't get claim check I found out. He said no problem doing that now acts like he did me a favor after not doing it for months. Also charged $150 more than $1100 at first. When he said it was ready the skid plate wasn't on or the hitch, I was boxed in by another car, I waited a couple hours while he talked to new clients, offering to buy their cars so he can flip them. He cares about money, not quality work. I want a refund. This is unacceptable. My truck is useless. He won't be responsible, and blames the customer. I will sue and post reviews everywhere I can. This guy is scum.
