Truck threw belt and blew radiator leaving with new engine installed. He said the belt was good. 430 miles later broke down, coolant coming out exhaust. Easy to tell since the exhaust has been falling off poorly installed. Head gasket blew in the truck, or worst case is hydrolock, not turning over properly soemtimes. A couple hoses shot off. Had nothing but problems, never ran right. It would get stuck turning over sometimes. Idle was super high at first, I adjusted it down. It surged in first at low speed, high idle was to cover this up perhaps? Went to shop, he had me waiting around all day, never looked at it, mentioned charging me more. He alleged I had a bad MAF, which I left w/o inspection and replaced after seeing him hustle for new clients and leaving me hanging. Still didn't run right. Surged when I hit the brakes in neutral, some mind of vacuum leak. He blamed me when I confronted him. I travel a lot and had a second car so just drove that amidst my flights, sold that car though. Now I've got work out of state and no wheels. Blaming my camper shell is pathetic for a poor engine install. Never sent my engine core back. I thought it was, when I didn't get claim check I found out. He said no problem doing that now acts like he did me a favor after not doing it for months. Also charged $150 more than $1100 at first. When he said it was ready the skid plate wasn't on or the hitch, I was boxed in by another car, I waited a couple hours while he talked to new clients, offering to buy their cars so he can flip them. He cares about money, not quality work. I want a refund. This is unacceptable. My truck is useless. He won't be responsible, and blames the customer. I will sue and post reviews everywhere I can. This guy is scum. read more

I initially left this shop a five-star review because they gave the impression that they genuinely wanted to take care of customers. Unfortunately, my experience after that has been extremely disappointing. I brought my Jeep in for an HVAC noise issue. The blower motor was replaced -- twice -- and the original problem was never resolved. Instead of properly diagnosing the root cause, parts were swapped without a thorough inspection of the housing or surrounding components. The vehicle has now been back multiple times for the same issue. Each time I was told it would be taken care of. Most recently, when I reached out to schedule a drop-off, I was told "maybe in a few days, we're busy with other business." That is not an acceptable response when a customer has already paid and the issue remains unresolved. There appears to be a high volume of vehicles on the lot with very limited staff, which may explain the rushed work and lack of detailed diagnostics. Replacing parts without solving the problem is not proper repair -- it's guesswork at the customer's expense. Also be prepared to be priced gouged and given the highest prices on my market. The owner will not be responsive. He will tell you you're the best customer and do whatever it takes. A few things that can fix right, but even then I question how good are those parts? Maybe all these other five star reviews is when he actually cared more about the business and customer service. When I requested a refund, I was told I would need to return the part in order to receive it. That is frustrating considering the repair did not correct the issue in the first place. At this point, I will be pursuing a dispute through my bank. I cannot recommend this shop for any diagnostic work beyond simple maintenance. If you value thorough inspection and root-cause repair, I would proceed with caution. read more

I Needed my state inspection taken care of ASAP, after spending a day going from shop to shop with no luck, I called Crank Auto Repair to check and make sure if they did state inspections and Fateh said yes. There was no wait and while I was there, I asked about getting an oil change and they took care of that for me too! It's nice finding a mechanic shop in the neighborhood. Not only am I confident in their fair pricing, but they are also very thorough in what needs to be done to my car in the future to keep it running well - but not outlandish, expensive fixes that I know are unnecessary! Low frills shop and they don't have a rental car agreement so you can either drop it off and wait or have your car towed. They are busy so you will need to call and get a time estimate. Honest, affordable mechanics. I drive an old Subaru and recently conducted some much needed maintenance late last year (timing belt, water pump etc). My car wasn't starting it wasn't the battery couldn't figure it out. They had a tow truck come pick it up at 5pm on a Monday. Tuesday at 3 the car was ready to be picked up. They were extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and they cared about me and my busted truck. They were able to fix my truck's engine after a different mechanic couldn't figure out what the problem was. I got my truck back really quick and it runs better than ever.
