Auto Tek's stellar customer reviews did not disappoint! They diagnosed and repaired a bad A/C compressor for an Audi Q5. They credited the diagnosis fee to the service performed which is nice. They offer a decent warranty on their work. They are also flexible to offer parts options to help lower the total cost of repair. They say all of their techs have senior experience, and they were able to get my car in quickly- some other garages have wait times of up to a week. I checked their hourly rates, they are in line with other garages I have used in the past. They seem to have a very smooth and efficient system set up, they handle a lot of cars with the large garage space they have, and they do a good job communicating and providing updates. My 13 year old Rav4 started having electrical issues for the first time and I had no idea where to go for service. I found this place on Yelp and admit it was the second shop I reached out to. The first place never responded to me, after days of various forms of contact. Being super frustrated when I submitted an estimate request to this place, I admit that I was very happy when I received a response within an hour! Long story short, everything was great. The service people were super nice and efficient. They ran a complete service check on my car and sent me a list of all recommendations, and I was very happy when they didn't pressure me when I pick and chose what to have done. I dropped off my car on a Thursday morning, and it was ready and fixed by Friday afternoon! I happens to be out of town when it was done, and they were very understanding and didn't complain about holding it until I returned a couple of days later. I've tried out this shop a couple of times as an alternative to the dealership service, since many dealerships send cars to their express shop for routine maintenance, and those techs typically aren't mechanics. That has been problematic in the past. This shop uses licensed mechanics instead of beginning technicians. Their price structure varies, but in general I've found their prices to be fairly comparable to what our particular dealerships charge. The service writers are friendly, helpful , and fairly knowledgeable, though I still didn't get to interface with or even see who was working on my car, which makes it harder to ask questions. They do provide a summary of the work with photos, and found some issues that the dealership had missed, also providing photos. A video or more detailed feedback would be even better. They always have a lot of cars in queue for service and stay really busy. The drawbacks are that it takes awhile to get an appointment, around two weeks, and that you can't wait on your car to be serviced. So you're going to need to leave your car and get a ride both ways. Most customers I saw use rideshare, since we were all waiting outside together. Overall I've been happy with their work and the pricing. I still go back and forth between the dealership and this shop, depending on what I need at the time. read more

I can't believe my first review is a love letter to my auto shop but Auto Tek has long earned my immense praise after 6 years working on both cars I've owned in that time. Auto Tek is a class act from taking the appointment, reviewing issues & following up. Every single person working there is someone I want to have over for dinner or a beer haha. They are personable, cordial, thorough & patient in explaining car stuff to folks like me who don't have a clue. This starts at the very top with the owners of this family business. I can't recommend them enough, truly. For techies, they provide links by text &/or email detailing each issue they ID in their inspection in order of what needs to be done immediately, in the near future & in the not so distant future. They provide photos or videos of each issue and an itemized estimate with every detail explained. Prices are absolutely competitive especially for the class service. No pressure from them on any of it. Last year I brought my car to the dealer in between for an ongoing electrical issue I wanted a dealer to review and they simply charged me more for less. Auto Tek understands some folks can manage a few issues themselves, even me, but their costs for parts & labor are comparable enough to just have them get 'er done so you know it's done right & fair. They also follow up by text or email to see how it's going, if you've had any issues since or if anything new has cropped up. A real person actually responds back! In March 2024 I took my son's car into Autotek to diagnose and repair my son's Nissan 350z. Among other things, they diagnosed issues with the rear suspension. During the repair, they told me the bearings needed to be replaced. I paid them to do so. The total repair job cost around $4500. Five months later the bearings failed again. I brought it back in and they honestly diagnosed several issues stemming from the failed bearings and agreed to fix them via warranty. While repairing it, they also uncovered another issue that could have possibly been preexisting, but also could have been caused by the last round of bearing failure. As they didn't diagnose it the first time, it was difficult to say. After some back-and-forth discussions about this, they ultimately ended up repairing this issue too. Although we did not see eye to eye at first, I found them to be reasonable after I thoroughly explained the situation from my point of view. Although Autotek is a business and therefore must turn a profit, from this interaction I believe they have an eye towards being in business for the long run by being trustworthy and honoring their word. read more

We've taken our Mazda 6 to them twice, both times they figured out the fairly strange (unrelated) electrical problems, which is not easy to do. Price wasn't super cheap but I think it was fair. Only Auto Tek can do a perfect 4-wheel alignment on my Toyota Avalon. They got it perfect. This is after the dealer totally failed. Then they fixed a wiring problem in my Toyota truck that was in the steering wheel column area. This is a difficult problem to find and fix. They did it. Above all, they were totally honest with me. Not only do they provide outstanding mechanic work, but they also walk you through everything they've discovered about your car, what your options are, and what they recommend. Their communication is clear and friendly and you can tell they're experts and LOVE what they do. How it works: After they check out your car, they send you a text message with a link that takes you to a site where each issue is clearly documented and explained. Then when you call to approve the work and schedule a time to pick up your car, they're happy to answer any question in whatever level of detail you prefer. Want to nerd out on engine talk? This review isn't necessarily based on the work Auto Tek performed for me (they've worked on my vehicles before and did great work!) but their absolute INCREDIBLE customer service and kindness to me. I had gone to auto tek for a check engine light and they performed a systems check on my car. When it was returned to me and I received my estimate, I'm not going to lie, I went and shopped around other places and I was able to find the work quoted for about $200 cheaper elsewhere - here's why that was a MASSIVE mistake. When I brought my car to the other mechanic, they ended up "finding something else" (did it actually need fixing? Who knows) and they charged me $700 MORE than what autotek had quoted me. Not only that, less than one week later, the battery on my car was dead and I had been yelled at by the other mechanic when I tried to understand how this could happen. That mechanic then got furious and yelled at me, saying I was accusing him of ruining my battery. I wasn't accusing him but I was definitely skeptical after he started yelling. I called auto tek back as they had originally run the test and I wanted to see if they'd made any notes about the battery going bad. When I got on the phone, I was treated with such kindness and help. I spoke with Aaron and I was actually a mess by that point and he reassured me that I had the right to be skeptical of the first shop and that my concerns about my car were valid. He sat with me on the phone while I tried to understand what could have happened. He suggested that he would take a look at the car if I brought it back in and he was just so kind and helpful on the phone. He took about 10 minutes just to listen and comfort me after being so accosted by the other mechanic. All of that to say, I will never take my car to another mechanic. I've had a few old cars that needed work and they always come through without all the sales pitches. I had brought one of my cars in for a repair and Aaron gave me an estimated quote. These guys were totally amazing! I just moved here and had to go by previous reviews to pick a shop. Auto Tek did not disappoint! After getting new tires, shocks, brakes and a full alignment at a shop a few thousand miles ago, my Toyota Tundra still had a nasty front end shake. I suspected the tie rods. These guys spent a good couple hours looking over the truck and marking down everything that needs to be repaired/replaced. Fortunately it was mostly little lightbulbs that I took care of on my own later. They found nothing wrong other than some vibration and took it across the street to Discount Tire (as I originally bought the tires from another Disount Tire location). Those guys went ahead and re-balanced all the tires and found one of them was off. They called me to tell me that the owner of Auto Tek took my truck for a drive and everything seem to be fine. When I came to pick it up, they told me that I did not owe them anything as they do a courtesy inspection for all new customers! These guys will get any and all repair work that I needed any of my vehicles and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled and reputable shop. read more

My trust is hard to earn but they've done it. My only caveat is they follow the traditional path of using new parts so for older cars, this can become unsustainable. Have you ever been at an oil change/to a mechanic who has said "your car is fine, here is your keys" and hasn't tried to tell you your AC belt is thin, tire treads are worn, unicorn gasket is full...? I haven't: until I came here. I tried Auto Tek because of all the great Yelp reviews and now have my own to join to the chorus. I made an appointment, dropped off my car, picked it up at the right time and that was that. The guys were friendly and super courteous at the front desk, told me my car had no problems whatsoever, and sent me on my way. About $40 for my oil change and that was that. I needed work done on my car and just moved here so didn't know where to go and was nervous since auto shops can have seedy reputations but Auto Tek came highly rated on Yelp and for good reason! From car drop off to Aaron (manager) texting me a month later to follow up and make sure everything was working smoothly, I had the best experience! They have a shuttle service, a really nice waiting room, and were quick to repair my car. I received an email the next day detailing out the work that needed to be done and they attached videos to illustrate the specifics. Also included was the name of the mechanic who ran the diagnostic test. I appreciated the transparency and when Aaron called to tell me they were finished he was so patient with me and explained everything they did in a way I could understand. So glad I found this place. I needed a mechanic group who could help me with my son's old Nissan Max (2004). It had a number of issues, but needed someone to trust.... Found these guys here on Yelp and decided to take the car in and ask for their help...basically, the car decided to die on the side of the highway with no warning. The team at Auto Tek found that sensors failed which caused the issue. They also crawled over the car and made a few recommendations from additional services items like the timing belt and break rotors... Which I knew the car needed... What I like about the team is that they walked me through the process, was very close to the estimate and most of all followed up after 30 days to make sure we were all good. My check engine light was on and after some quick research I noticed Auto Tek was a certified Nissan repair center so I made an appointment to get it checked out and I'm so thankful I did. The employees at Auto Tek are not only very knowledgeable but also so nice and SO great when it comes to communication. They have an online system that keeps you in the loop on what's going on with your car from drop off to pick up. Their pricing is very fair and they did a great job of explaining exactly what was wrong and what was going to be needed to fix it.
