    Cutout fun picture frame

Got a horrible experience/ service from kelvin not sure if he doesn't want to be their at micheals but definitely not friendly. Find a young employee named jesus extremely polite and helpful and jesus helped me find and save on my trip to micheals so thank you jesus.

I used the framing shop at this Michael's and I am super happy with the service and the results! The woman sho helped me was patienknowledgeable, and we came up with a mat and frame that set off the piece I brought in perfectly. Thank you!

Over two shopping carts worth of stuff.

Whatever happened to customer service? One employee was pretty friendly. She was tall with dark hair (couldn't see her name tag). The red head...another story. The dark haired girl told us to take our carts and tip them sideways to get out of the store (we bought so much stuff that there was NO WAY we could carry it all out to the car). The red head says in a snotty tone, "SIR, you CAN'T do that". So, we had to make several trips back and forth to the car. Not a huge deal to make the trips, BUT: 1. She heard the first girl tell us to do it and then gets nasty with us for doing it. 2. I wouldn't have bought all this stuff that I don't clearly need if I knew that I had to hand carry it with several trips. 3. Rudeness doesn't just exist with customers. We were not rude first, she was. P.S. Management: My husband told me (not that I condone this) that he used the ladder to get stuff off of the top shelf and that same girl had NO PROBLEM letting him do that and never said a word when she walked by. So, why the carts? I know that by me avoiding this store will not make or break Michael's, but I will not be back to this Michael's (not even for emergency crafting supplies). I can go to Hobby Lobby or Joann's and be treated better than this. Keep my rewards. I don't need them that badly. Red Head = Zero stars Dark Haired Girl = Five stars Average 2 1/2 stars. Rounding down for the bad attitude. 2 stars.

I was trying to get a hold of an employee for a question, and they picked up the phone and hung up on me twice ... ridiculous.

The staff was helpful, encouraging, and created a really laid-back craft experience. Tips if you go: * Plan for about 4 hours for a small rug. * If it's your first time, keep your design simple--straight lines are much easier than curves. * Be prepared for tired arms and hands by the end! * If you're using the stencil projector, Apple phones seemed to connect better than other types of phones. * Bring some jams--music definitely makes the 4 hours more enjoyable. * Bring something to drink because 4 hours is a long time! Pros: Overall, it was a fun, creative, and completely new learning experience. There's a lot of talking, problem-solving, and figuring things out together while you work, so I could also see this being a really fun date-night activity. Cons: It was a little pricey at $80+ per rug. My biggest issue is the size--you end up with roughly a 1' × 1' rug, and I'm still trying to figure out what you actually do with it. It's a little too small for practical floor use and kind of heavy for wall décor. Maybe just the right size for a very firm seat cushion... lol. Bottom line: Fun experience, especially with friends, but I'd love to see a larger finished rug option for the price!

I have done business with a wide variety of suppliers and Reynolds is now my top choice for materials. They just know their stuff when it comes to making something. With casting materials and mold materials there are so many choices from so many suppliers it can be a challenge at times to find the right path to get the results you want. Laurie at Reynolds in Tempe just has it down where the guess work is at a real minimum. Not every project or job is a 1,2,3, to finish operation, so anything that takes out the error and saves you money is a bonus in my book and Reynolds does just that. Oh yeah, be ready to gawk for a while if you're a creator, because your choices and tools available at Reynolds far exceeds many of the suppliers I used while working in Hollywood.

We signed up for the Blankets & Besties workshop, where you make a chunky blanket. You get to choose your color from a list and note it when you register on their website. It was $85 before tax and came with 5 skeins of yarn, with the option to add more (I think for an additional $15). I also put in the notes on my registration the names of my friends so that we could sit together. The workshop was at 6pm on a Friday and lasted about two hours. There was my group of three and three others, plus the owner/instructor Lauren. Her instructions were easy to follow, and she would jump in if we needed help. I made a few errors, and she was able to fix them for me. I ended up making my loops too loose on the outside and too tight on the inside, so my blanket came out a bit small. But I think it was decent for my first attempt. It's so soft. I keep it on my couch to use as a lap blanket. We all had a great time and would definitely come back to try other workshops. My coworker had tried one of the resin workshops and really liked it too.
